They did have a representative in the asian champions league this season. But LCS got eliminated in the group stage

LCS got into the group stage and finished 3rd with 7 points on their first year in ACL
JDT got into the QF after 5 tries but shows that it is possible.
QF was BG pathum. JDT was round of 16
LCS played ACL this year and finished 7 points in a very difficult group, including Urawa Reds who are now in the final.
