As a Catholic, I have to admit, this partially made my day because of how funny this is, but partially scares me to go to confession again.....Guess I better triple check that I'm going into the right booth next time
Also, make sure an actual priest is in the other one. Because the woman in this sketch was in the right booth, but she was still confessing to a non-priest.

I found it initially offensive and then more or less humorous...it wasn't that bad as long as everyone realizes this is a joke meant for a laugh and no one honestly believes this is how reconciliation, one of the most important sacraments, works...still its not something I think people should joke about.
For me, the scary moment whn when the door doesn't close properly and the priest uses a hearing aid while saying "speak louder, i can't hear you"

This was amazing. As a Catholic myself, I think it's awesome that members of another religion are able to poke fun at us and themselves yet still be respectful. You guys are awesome!

Haha What if Studio C made a UA-cam channel and did like all Mormon stuff. I know that this is family comedy and it's from BYU TV, but there's some stuff nonmembers wouldn't get. For example, blame it on the deacons.
Or they could at least make a skit or two about it. Maybe some Princess Bride quotes.
I believe their old show, Divine Comedy, was more based on Mormon Culture. They still have a ton of their videos on the channel for it as well.

lol, of course all people can choose to. But being taught and raised in a mormon environment (and especially BYU) there are rules to abide, not cussing is one of them.
For me it's better, since this is a complete family oriented comedy show.

I showed my dad this (he grew up Catholic, now protestant), and usually he disapproves of Studio C, but this time he laughed so hard!

@@GetReady4FreddyKrueger I think that if you ask them either your Church or your Diocesis usually can help you financially if you want to study in seminary. A dear friend of mine is studying to become a Priest and he's being helped by his Church because otherwise he couldn't afford to pay the fee

If you aren't Catholic, it's actually totally okay to go to confession. Priests actually love it when that happens.
If you aren’t Catholic, you technically cannot go to confession. You can absolutely talk to a priest and tell him whatever you want to, and he can give you advice, but you cannot receive absolution for your sins. The real purpose of confession. So you can tell the priest your sins and have a conversation about them and how you can change, but you cannot actually complete the sacrament as you aren’t Catholic.

@@nathanstanish369 I know what the OP means -- and the OP's ultimately wrong!! Sure, in *practice* , veneration of the saints historically slipped easily into idolatry. Even so, the true underlying principle is consistent with a concept from the Book of Romans: each Christian is called to a different mission depending on his or her gifts. Canonized saints embody the myriad, diverse ways individual gifts can be used for God's glory!
You see? Veneration of the saints is much more biblically orthodox than many Baptists realize...
@@daniellevinson6975 Personally I find the biggest reason Catholic seems incompatible with true Christianity is the issue of justification. They don't rely on grace as a perfect method of redemption, instead, they include some works and the interlude of purgatory. That's why some would joke that Catholics aren't even Christians, Protestants are.

Haha so glad Catholic confessions have changed format slightly. Completely closed confessionals where you can sorta see the priest make it so much easier.

Last time I was this early,
season two had just started
as a fellow Catholic, I think this video is pretty awesome!!! it really suprised me at first cause studio c also has a video called "baskin robins love confession" which I've also watched!!!!! thank you studio c for making this video about confession and for being silly yet respectful at the same time towards catholics/confession!!!!!!!

This should have been a thing. I hope they take it to JK Studios and have more accidental confessional mixups.
This was very interesting but in reality a priest would never tell a non catholic to use a catholic conffesional, the holy sacrament of Confession is only obtainable after Baptism. But I did love the comedy!

I must say, I'm not Catholic, but I am baptized. However, I was baptized only two years ago, since we believe that baptism is an outward expression of our inward faith in Jesus and that it is something we choose to do, not something we do to babies who are not old enough to decide for themselves. Although, given that he said he's not religious, then I would imagine he probably wasn't baptized. Just saying, though, that a person can be baptized and not be Catholic. :)
