    Thank you so much for making these guides! As a new hobbyist dice maker dipping his toes into a potential Etsy shop, it is so refreshing to see content makers willing to share techniques. The dice community is awesome! The quality of your videos is also top notch, and you have such a pleasant personality and demeanor in your videos. All aces! Love seeing all your dice on insta! Thank you so much for making your videos! I'm only just starting on dice making. I'd love to know what measuring/pouring cups you use, and what that metal stir stick is, if you're comfortable sharing that info : )

      Oh, absolutely!! Thank you for asking, I usually link the metal stick but forgot this time and hadn't considered folks might want to know what cups I use! I've added links to all in the video description, but the metal sticks are coffee/cocktail stir sticks and for my cups I use (and re-use) primarily 30/60/90ml graduated cups.

      @@dreamy_dice Thank you so much!! I'm always nervous about buying unfamiliar crafting supplies because I don't have a lot of money, and what if they don't work out for me? It's helpful to see what other creators are using : )

    Hello, I've dabbled in making my own dice before and it was fun. I was thinking about getting into it more, and I always love your dice and fellow makers like you. I was going through the list of products you use and didn't see anything about a pressure pot, would you have any recommendations or maybe a previous video that I over looked about them?

    Some of the shapes of the dice I have never seen before, what are those tall diamond shaped ones called?

    When you layer resins how do you prevent too much color blending. I am starting to experiment but a problem I am having is the two colors are almost bleeding fully together. If you have any tips I’d appreciate it! Love your work!

      Generally I’d say pouring slow and low is a good rule of thumb! The higher up you’re pouring your layers the more force the resin will hit the previous layer with and blend. You can even use the bartender style technique of taking a small spoon or popsicle stick and resting it just above your first layer, then slowly pouring the second along the stick to cause as little disruption as possible. Hope these help!

    Do you have a rule of thumb for drops of color to the volume of resin?

    • @dreamy_dice

      Honestly it depends a lot on the specific ink being used. Generally speaking I always try to start with just a drop or two so I can see how saturated the color is. For most pixiss inks for example I only use around 3-5 drops per 20-40ml in most designs. Because too much ink can cause cure issues as well, I always find it better to start conservative and work up to the color and saturation you’re aiming for.

    I hope I can figure out how to do this without pinata blanco blanco cuz where I am in Canada I can't get it ): love your dice though they're so pretty!

    Do you let your resin cure at all before pouring?

    • @dreamy_dice
      @dreamy_dice  6 місяців тому +1

      Nope! I don’t like working with thick resin so I try to pour as quickly as possible
