I am always pleasantly surprised when I watch one of these games and Jim McMahon is actually on the field. But then I feel bad because of what we know now about his health.
DAVID BROWN, I would agree with that in the past, but since McMahon saw a concussion specialist from Ditka, Jim is much better. I saw him the last 3 years at the Fort Wort Club's Quarters Back Award annual event. The first two years, Jim looked bad, but this year he looked 20 years younger. He was bouncy, fresh and full of life, with a quick smile and quicker wit. His new wife keeps him happy and he seemed healthy. I am a camera op for the Murray Media group who shoots the media for the FW Club and it's been an honor to see the new young Club award winners and the elder champions come back to receive life time achievement honors. Jim is looking much better and healthier when last I saw him. just thought you could use some good news.
same can be said for other players in this game, e.g., Dave Duerson, Steve Mcmiachel. there was a video roaming youtube of modern day Fencik and Plank discussing their careers and post-football lives. they discuss the concussion syndromes and note that “no one would be surpised today if either of us had severe symptoms.’. fortunately they do not.
Look at that kick return 'wedge' the Vikings set up at the 2:02 mark of this video. That's illegal in today's NFL.
todays nfl is a pussy league
Thanks for uploading this game. It has 2 of my favorite players, Walter Payton and Matt Blair.
Bears had a great teams in order to win with a below average QB
Willie Teal is still lying there from the Payton stiff arm.
there go the bird man ..
What the hell happened to Johnny Morris!? He looks like he's all beat up!? He's got scratches all over his face! What the hell happened?

@@CJinsoo makes me feel guilty for supporting the sport to be honest.
AWESOME play @ 23:15
Just wondering - when did the Vikings move to the Metrodome in Minnesota?
Scooby Carr 1982
The 1982 season. Twins too.
Scooby Carr 1981
Douglas Hicks Okeedokee thanks for the info
The first year they played in the new Metrodome was the strike shortened season of 1982. They also went from Bloomington to downtown Minneapolis.
