Fantastic video! I was a little intimidated when I bought this. But I figured I’d find someone to walk me through it. after watching several videos, yours explained everything the best. Really appreciate the time you put into making video, and all the commentary and hints that you put in. Thank you!
Great video, and glad to see products like this becoming more readily available. I’ve installed 3 Fenix 4200 Mini programmable switch boxes for customers and love them, although their outputs are only 3.5A which really limits their uses. But for the average weekend warrior needing to power low current devices, they are only $120 and designed/manufactured in Texas.
Did you leave your raptor lights with their own add-a-fuse in the head light fuse port and just added another add-a-fuse to another accessory fuse port for the 6 gang switch switch panel? Or did you re-route the existing raptor lights wiring to the Auxbeam switch panel and used the add-a-fuse solely for the switch panel?
Awesome video - just picked up the same unit after watching your video for my FJ40...did you go direct to NEG battery terminal with the ground on the unit? Or can you also use a grounding point near the unit (there are a few that you can easily tap into). The instructions are slightly confusing and the Auxbeam video suggests battery. I just want minimal wires to the terminals.
I'm having an issue with the LED panel not turning off even when vehicle is off. Double and triple checked my wiring and even had an accessory light controlled by the panel. No other lighting or connection issues to trace. LED panel stays lit. Any ideas?
Heck yeah I just got the 8 gang switch panel. Great video and I really like your bracket you made, I would ask for one made but my 21 Tacoma is manual and has the reservoir there in that spot.
@KB Autotech & Adventure What kind of rack are you running? I also have the RSI SmartCap on my '21 TRD OffRoad and looking for something like what you got.
nice video man, was looking into installing some various lighting and 12v accessories to my car and was wondering if this wiring harness box is limited to lighting only or if you could by chance install other devices to use with it. My main thought was a small power inverter for charging devices, think that this would be a capable addition or would it be better to do a separate install with its own wiring? Love the idea of not having to have a nest of wires coming from the battery to hook up a few light bars and maybe interior lighting though.
It will turn on and off whatever device you choose. I haven't looked at specs but didn't see anything above a 30amp fuse, make sure your load doesn't go beyond or check the specs..
@@Beacon_Offroad alright sweet, thanks for the quick response man! These switch panels look awfully convenient even if you aren't utilizing the whole 6 functions, allows for expandability for sure.
You're welcome. Its not water tight but in reality will be fine to get wet. I'm not sure if they list a recommendation but I'm sure it's fine. I'll be sure to wash my engine every once and a while and eventually get it wet. I'm the owner of OK Tire Surrey-Fleetwood.
So the add a fuse, fuse tap...whatever won't fit into any of my fuse slots and I pulled one of my fuses to add to the add a fuse and it wouldn't fit...????

Thank you for the thank you.
perfect timing! I'm headed up to Kelowna this weekend to pickup the new lighting and switch panel from vivid! very useful video!
Awesome man. Glad this helps
Nice bro! I need to get a switch panel in the future 👌🏽
For the money and simplicity of wiring these really are the way to go.
Bring on all the lights!💡
Lights before lockers 🤩
Great video. Answered my questions. I wish you sold that mounting brackets. I appreciate you wanting keep things looking clean.
Someone should make a 3d printed file.
Great video. Did you use the supplied add-a-fuse? Mine seems to have much longer prongs that the OEM fuses so not sure if that’ll mess anything up

Thank you. These auxbeam ones aren't very much more.

What size bolts did you use to bolt to the holes already in the body.

Thats cool. Auxbeam reached out and is sending me the 8 gang wireless unit. So Im gonna pull this one out and put it in the 4runner.
@@Beacon_Offroad awesome
What size tires and wheels are mounted on your Tacoma ?
Can you give the dimensions of the fuse/relay block? I’m almost ready to order this.
I'm sure this install would be helpful😁👍
Yes absolutely, thank you.
no link on the video to run the wire to the fuse box
My fuse just blows. Cant seem to fix it, every time it just blows
Completely rewire the line. Could could be shorting along the way
Do you know if you are able to swap out the fuses or should they just be left as is? Great video 👍🏼
Not recommended to change the amperage of the fuse.

Although this doesnt show my canopy rack, here;'s what I did. ua-cam.com/video/hd1173u-OJg/v-deo.html
what accessory fuse did you use for the add a fuse to the switch panel and what amp fuse did you use?
I explain it in the video. Supplied a link and everything.

@@calebwooldridge242 They also make a 8 gang set up and the newer bluetooth controlled panel as well.
Well done Would have been good to see how you wired into the switch panel.
Ya, I lost a few clips and just ran with it. If you can make it that far you'll be fine, lol.
@@Beacon_Offroad No worries. But I really suck at electrical work.
@@mikemorgan4670 that part is super straight forward.
@@Beacon_Offroad 👍
Great video, how did you set up the add a fuse. Was it a 10 and a 15 fuse.
Thank you, I used a 10a fuse.
Thank you for setting this up. About to install one similar. Is the relay box waterproof? And what shop are you working out of?

@@Beacon_Offroad Thank you for the quick reply and the info. You make some awesome and informative videos, keep up the great work!
What size bolts for the aluminum bracket to bolt into fender?
Sorry it’s late:
M8x1.25
Are you worried about hitting it with your knee or leg when getting in and out of the truck?
Not really, I gave it a test run first and it's working good.
So the add a fuse, fuse tap...whatever won't fit into any of my fuse slots and I pulled one of my fuses to add to the add a fuse and it wouldn't fit...????
Wrong size add a fuse. Get the right one and youll be good.
I can't seem to get power to the button controller. I get power to the actual switch 12 volts but no lights turn on the controller.
Thank you, I used a 15a.
