Good job buddy on the fish .but I will say those fish are just to selfish for not telling the world to hit that subscribe and like button!! Can't wait for more videos brother
Thanks Wizard of Fish! I really appreciate your continued support.
The way you talk to the fish is the most funny thing I've ever heard. Thank you for making me laugh my butt off!!
So cool with the live scan. I think it shows you to wait on the bite before you real down on them. As Always great video.
Another great fishing trip Justin! Really interesting one today with the baits. I've never fished with chicken and we don't have Skipjack in SC. I will have to try that chicken in my waters and see what happens. Great job today brother keep the good stuff coming! 👍🏻
sorry for not commenting yesterday when I watched this video Justin but man it's another awesome video. my favorite part was the two flatheads you caught. all in all as always I enjoyed the entire video. keep them coming. best part of my day is when I get to watch your new videos
OH LORD!! Something done froze over! hahaha
Haha!!! Anything for a click right lol
Stopped another video soon as I got the notification of this video your by far my favorite you tuber to watch justin thanks stay safe out there
I always stay until the end of your video’s. Keep up the good work and keep them videos coming.
Your tip on how to just be patient with the circle hooks is a good one. 👍
Listening to your commentary, makes me feel like I’m fishing with my dad! 😂😂 love it.
keep putting out the good content love all your videos
Catfishing where I fish is weird. I hardly ever catch anything on cut bait, it'll sit out there for hours with no action. Chicken works pretty good, but hotdogs? That's magic. A cheap $0.88 pack of hotdogs is a day of fun.
Same here
I went catfishing today for the first time. Gonna have to try hot dogs next time I go!
Soak the chicken or hot dogs in fruit punch koolaid and watch what happens add in a little strawberry jam and they strike often
@@douglastice302 Yeah I've done the Koolaid and Jello thing. Both work great.
@@271yaks Don't do hotdogs if you're casting. They're pretty soft and tend to fly off easily. You can manage it if you chill them, that firms them up a little, and use a gentle cast.
If you're on a boat and just dropping it down though? Go for it.
I got to agree with that scenario, I'm going to use cut skip Jack, cut shad cut bluegill or even fish with them live to get my bigger catfish. I've taken the challenge of chicken liver and chicken while I did catch a quantity on both I got the bigger ones on chicken liver. It helps if you put the chicken or the chicken liver and cheesecloth sacks then put them on the hook. That was still an awesome video Justin I definitely enjoy seeing somebody catch the big ones when I can't, you're a damn good fisherman and me and my family enjoy your videos, catch a gollywhopper for all of us
Liked the video instantly before watching, ive been waiting for a video like this. Your a great entertainer
Ive been waiting for you to do this one!
You're so awesome!!! Thank you so much My brother!! Your videos are the highlight of my day!! God bless you Justin!! Stay safe and healthy!!
Thanks for the video,always appreciative.
Love the videos buddy. Interesting concept of chicken vs skipjack. I’d be interested to see how skip compares to gizzard shad.
Those houses in the background of this spot are beautiful. Those owners are sitting right on a honey hole. Good catches as usual Justin!!
Thanks for sharing Justin nice video action, Enjoyed very much be safe
When I go for eating sized cats here in Indiana, I use chicken breast soaked in either cherry Kool-Aid or stuff called catfish nectar. I’ll find some grain barges and use a little float and cast it right against the barge. Works like a charm every time.
Nice video mister Justin love your videos keep up the good work and go catch some more big ones
I did a similar experiment with shad. I did a double rig with shad and chicken on the same line. I used 6/0 on shad and 3/0 hook on chicken. Chicken got far more fish but shad had all the better fish. I use chicken mostly for taking the grandkids out now.
Always stick around to the end last 2 took me a day or two to finish cause I’m doing some fishing of my own for a bass tournament online but great video as always
Love the live scope fishing. Great fishing
I'm still here love watching you catch and call the fish
you don't know how long I've been waiting for this video from you 🤣😂🤣
Looked like another good day for u Justin. I hate using chicken unless I am using treble hooks. Holds the chicken better. Thanks for taking me along brother….
Got to say I love the legendary Bill Dance hat fits you good fella now if we could get you to put together a good bloopers video
I have had the same results with chicken breast and cut bait. Get a lot of bites on chicken breast but my bigger fish come on cut baits. Another awesome video
Thanks for the content
great video, nice fish.as long you're having fun it great. yes going to smaller hooks, would help the hookups on the chichen.but you would starting catching your beloved channels lol. stay safe.
That skinny fun size you got when you moved sure was a pretty blue. Glad to see you had so much action though that had to be a fun time
In the winter months I always have chicken on a couple of my rods alongside mostly cut bait. Almost every year I catch my biggest blue in January or February on chicken. When the water warms up I stop using chicken because in the warmer months it’s pretty consistently a dink bait where I’m fishing.
I was here to the end for ya Justin. Weird bite or not ya got another fish that’s what counts. 👍👍
The world is coming to an end … Justin using chicken ….. no way 😂
Justin out there spreading salmonella to the fish lol!! Great video as usual. Was really cool seeing them on the fish finder swimming around the bait!
That shit was funny
Fun Day in Kitty land, nice size on the Skippys. Well done Justin. Thanks for the entertaining Video.
When you can''t get skipjack try a chunk of skin-on salmon from the store. It works for me here in central Missouri.
Probably works well. Over here in NC that salmon would be too expensive for fish bait! We don't have skipjack in my area either. We do have lots and lots of bluegill/sunfish though.
That's a good idea Salmon is oily
@@bluesdad54 where in NC are ya
@chunkymonkey -- up between Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
thats how they r in ky too the longer they play with it the more chance u got to catch em i love flatties bout as much as u do bubby lol keep on keepin on an God bless the family
I subscribed to your channel about a week ago and I’m really enjoying your content! You’re the man buddy… I wish I could swap that Tennessee hat for an Alabama hat but you know I reckon we can still be friends… Lmao just messing with you… Tennessee is looking good this year! We drift the tail waters of the chickamauga dam with chicken breast… Basically as soon as you see or feel a little bit of tension on your rod they have it in their mouth so just go ahead and ease into em and they’ll hook themselves… I know what you mean about the flatheads though. They’ll play with it forever before they commit to it…
Thanx for another great video
Flathead grounded from a Nintendo. 😂😂😂😂. My coffee just came out of my nose!
Try tying the chicken on the hook with some line. I catch multiple fish on the same bait all the time doing that. Great video, really enjoy your channel.
I would love to see you try a zoom tiny super fluke. for crappie. I love using the gulp minnow but zoom will help you catch the bigger crappie.
Your welcome and I identify as a frustrated fisherman. Great video as always Justin.
Great video Justin I am Going fishing tomorrow at a local reservoir fed by 2 rivers..it is a bass lake..but it has shad. And I know it has to have big channels..going to fish a 60ft spot..with live and cut bait..🤟😎
Thanks George! Good luck tomorrow!
Skip jack to the left of me chicken to the right stuck in the kayak with you! Ya I already referenced this but I know Justin knows what it is.
Great Video ❗
Well I fish in central Kansas, I used live bait , minnows, bluegill, green sunfish, crayfish, leopard frogs, also use goldfish too the challenge with leopard frogs and live bait Justin.
I've tried the chicken breast before and I didn't care for it for the same reason and you said you mainly catch small ones if they don't strip your hook. But like always I enjoyed your video TY
That first fish missed🤣🤣🤣 had me rollin
I'm newer to catfishing. How do you set up for bank fishing on the bottom?
We don’t have blues or flatheads in NY. But a lot of people up here use chicken liver. I use cut bait or live shiners.
Awesome video buddy
Thanks!
Love those flatheads!
Yet another bonus fish. LOL
Caught a flathead on oatmeal one time while carp fishing.. Blew my mind.
Justin, I understand your reluctance to downsize your main hook for chicken. Would it be worth tipping that stinger fly with a small piece of chicken? Or would that only run you out of chicken sooner?
In any case, another good video! 👍
The stinger fly hook size would definitely be more appropriate for chicken
Watching while fishing on the bank using live bluegill don't get much better than that.
Lots of good fish. I wonder how South Carolina cats feel about chicken.. Chicken liver works but it comes off the hook too. I live near lake Keowee and lake Hartwell
Fishing with Colonel Sanders. Well.......it does work though. I do think you need to spray those baits with some Gas X . LOL Thanks for sharing Justin!!
Love the flathead
Thanks Keith!
I have been successful on cut bait on the Tennessee
We went to North Carolina and couldn’t get a bit on cut bait. A Local said try marshmallow 😏
And we caught quite a few blues 😁
Great video
Thanks!
Thank you so much Matt!
Awsome vedio thinks for sharing
You should try jello chicken too I've met a couple guides that swear by it
I think the bonus fish swapped out on ya... definitely a flat and about 10 feet from the top the blue came and stole the bait
😆
Wondering the shallower channel,,or creeks they run or chill in,Fer the season...THERE.
Have you tried raw shrimp we catch some nice ones on it and we also used chicken breast for a long time it catches anything lol
Of LAWD , Justin trying chicken, get em brother
Kool aid chicken gets me cats everytime
No skipjack here in east TX. So shad and bluegill. Ive seen you use live bluegill have you ever had luck on cut bluegill? They seem go bleed out to quick.
I don’t have much luck with cut bluegill here but I hear it works well in some places
Flatheads in the coosa river down here in Alabama don't hit that softly. They are more aggressive than blues when they hit. And fight ten times harder
Hey bud this is Josh from Statesville n.c would love a hat good job on sum great fish
Thanks Josh!
vid idea; a topo map of any general midwest reservoir where you believe nice blue/ flats would be located in each season of the year. That would be really helpful. Maybe you already have one? thx
I do use chicken but I put some cooking oil on it and minced garlic then soak at least over night before using. I have caught some really nice fish. It is messy and smells to high heaven. I catch fish when nobody else around me are catching fish.
Ive caught quite a few flatties on chicken breast in the spring
Lol great video start lol happens to us all lol
What do you do with your fish if your keeping them
Great video.. should use powder Kool-Aid with the chicken. Get a big sandwich bag put the powder in chicken in then shake.. you should try it
He definitely identified as a flat head!!🤣
What pound and what kind of line are ya using... for that matter what rod and reel thanks.. new sub
The video description has the answers you seek
Love the vids just went catfishing last night I fought a 30 pounder
What is that red line you use
Justin your video commentary gives me a good laugh. How about maybe trying raw liver on your hook?
Started this then had to cut grass. Now time for a cold beer, cold shower, then finish this video 🤣
I see alot of people use chicken and jello to keep the chicken on the hook I haven't used yet looks like it works from what I've seen though
I’ve heard chicken marinated in garlic is good bait I’ve tried the hotdogs with garlic and jello , but no luck
You weren't skunked and that's always a good thing. 👍
I've been wanting to try something out on catfish but I'm not sure whether it would work or not. What do you think about using plain cod liver oil on chicken or whatever? Not sure if anyone has ever tried it. Do you think it would work?
I doubt the oil would stay on the bait before getting washed off especially in current
@@KayakCatfish
What if you left it to soak overnight or maybe even a dough bait? I'm really thinking about trying it. Here in my area, small town south central Pennsylvania, most people use chicken livers and the other usual stuff. I was just thinking outside of the box. I'm going to try it out I guess. Never know. Good luck on your next outing and I'll be watching. 👍
Hey Justin you’re talking about the chicken breast coming off pretty easy off the hook. I was wondering have you ever tried using chicken thighs. They seem to have a little bit more firmness to Them. But I live in Arizona I’ve never even heard of using chicken breast. Let me know OK.
I only use chicken breast
is that live scope?
Never thought I would see you do chicken
2018 was my best year I fought a 20.5 lb blue cat and if you happened to look me up on FB keep scrolling it's in between middle, you might have to do it slow
Justin, We don't have Skipjack in my part of Texas. I have thought about ordering Skipjack oil and injecting some chicken, Thoughts?
I doubt the oil would last very long especially in current. Might be worth a shot though
Perfect video for my ? Why do you think flatheads take the bait down easy and slow and the blues just crush it? I’ve always wondered that and I’m wanting to hear your 2 cents on it!
I’m not sure. I wish I could figure out a way to trigger the flatheads into running with the bait though. It would improve hookups greatly.
What is your go to hook size
Next live stream I bet you still get asked why you never use chicken! Lol
Hahaha!!!! Guaranteed
My dad used chicken as bait if he didn't have any cut baits and he would always soak the chicken in salt water over night to tuffen up the chicken so it doesn't fall apart + most fish like catfish like the taste of salt and catch cats a lot, but his best bait was chicken livers ...
