I’m not always into these segments, but this one could have gone twice as long, I’d be fine. These two, and the random subjects that came up, just *chef’s kiss*
Fire alarms: I’m an electrician and install fire alarms and they must be sited at the highest possible point as that is where the smoke and heat will go to first. You should with modern regs have a silence button and standard switch height somewhere in your home. Most still don’t have it but it’ll slowly be phased in nationally. UK here.
Disaster responder here - Smoke detectors are placed as high as possible because smoke rises - high placement allows detectors to pick up the earliest traces of smoke in the air. It gives occupants the longest possible time window to escape. If the detector were within easy reach, the smoke is already low enough when it does go off to be inhaled and to incapacitate occupants before they have time to escape. No shade for not knowing that - it is one of the most frequently asked questions we get. We wish they could be lower, too. The difficulty in reaching them means batteries don't get tested regularly or changed after we smash them off the ceiling to stop the beeping. BTW, don't skip testing every month assuming the beeping will tell you when it's time - you could be away from home for a couple of days, blasting music through speakers and headphones that block it out, or not realize that you or your elderly loved ones are hard of hearing - it happens all.the.time! Try adding it in to something you already do every month, like the moment you send out the rent, test the detectors. Or tell your kids they get to an extra dessert or hour of screen time or $5 if they remind you to test the detectors the first of every month - they will never let you forget again!
I so want Florence to decorate my house 😮 imagine it would end up looking like an Austin Powers lair with the lava lamps and colourful toilets and I DIG THAT
I too would like to know why toilets are usually a boring white colour. I once went to a bar where they had toilets of different colours in each stall. It too made me so happy to see (and use!) a neon pink loo. 😅
only problem with the older lava lamps is that they worked from the heat generated by a halogen light bulb. These are no longer made and have been replaced by LEDs which generate v little heat and dont work for lava lamps.Having said that, Im sure there are models out there that somehow work with LEDs.
I would like to know what films that guy is watching that have all these "charming Labs" in them....?? 🤨I can only think of two off the top of my head and one of them is "Marley and Me", which is about a dog where, literally, half the movie is about him being the most massively destructive dog in the world! 🤣I feel like Simon is actually thinking of Golden Retrievers and taking it out on Labs, which just makes his fixation about them so much funnier! 🐶As Greg indicates, Labs actually don't tend to be that smart... so, they really aren't used in movies all that much. Granted, they ARE, like, the most popular dog in the US/UK but, I think you really see them more in life than you do in the movies.
Tbh, I just lump Labradors and Retrievers into the same group. I may have been thinking about golden retrievers but I think “I hate Golden Retrievers” has less of a ring to it?
I once met a chocolate labrador, which learned to be a helper dog. The he tried to bite me. 😅 My yellow lab "saved me", she protect me with her body, and she get the bite.
Because they knew he would be very angry if they asked such a personal question. Also, he said in a recent interview that he was nervous when he did this date with Amelia, because he wanted it to be good, and that she reassured him at the end that it was very good. So if it was scripted and they were just performing, he wouldn't be afraid that it was not good. Also, these interviews were probably shot before the date was out, because Andrew looks a bit different now.
I love all dogs, therefore I love labs. I get that some people dislike things because they're popular so I can kind of get it, but we're talking about dogs. There are no edgy dogs.
Exactly! A friend of mine had one when I was in grad school and it was a black lab. I have known someone who Fosters them until they are old enough to go to school (because training in essence starts from when they're puppies). Same thing, it was all labs. Maybe he is trying to make chocolate labs out to be different from other labs, the way people say orange cats are supposedly chaotic.
Simon here. Pleasure to talk to Greg, Florence and Andrew about my controversial unpopular opinion. Sorry Labrador lovers, you’ve had your time in the sun and we need to have more dog diversity in pop culture!
Just here to say Labs are cunning, greedy little pigs. They have mastered the art of food thievery. You fell for their act! 😂 Though I do agree we could be showing other breeds some love, too. Mutts for the win!
I loved how Andrew came out with his rebuttal so strongly that I would worry for your safety if that conversation was face to face. Also I think your opinion is trash, Simon 😘
No problem at all, I’m a teacher and would love for all of my students to achieve highly. But the Labrador is not just the straight A student. He’s also head boy, captain of the school rugby team, and plays grade 8 piano.
Imagine if Andrew’s Peter Parker/ Spider-Man appears in the mid credits scene of Thunderbolts with Florence’s Yelena. Or maybe in Secret Wars. That would’ve been totally wicked epic indeed. Also, imagine if they both gets cast in a new Martin Scorsese’s A Life Of Jesus film with Garfield playing the Son of God and Pugh as Mary Magdalene. Hopefully it’ll be either 2hrs & 40mins long or maybe 3hrs run-time, and gets distributed by Paramount Pictures
Depends how fatty the lasagne is. Mint sauce works best with lamb because the vinegar cuts through the fat. If the lasagne is fatty from all the cheese, and if the mince isn't lean then mint sauce should work well.
@@MsTriangledepends on the lab, we have a fox red lab who is from working breed she has a little bark and a chat at anybody and anything she meets after the 1 or 2 barks she’s quiet 😂 Your general labs black and yellow are super mellow dogs as they get older
@crookieee I wondered if he was trying to make the chocolate labs out to be something special, the way people say orange cats are more chaotic. My friend in grad school had a black lab, and he had to be sent back to the school where she got him because it was the late 80s and inline skates and skateboards where it becoming more popular. The school had trained him about bikes, but he kept going after people on skateboards, which was a no no add hard for her to avoid living right on the edge of a college campus
5:41 The fact that she is still on the phone 😂 they totally forgot
Yup!

This might be the best Unpopular Opinion topics and guest altogether

Perfect chemistry these two, absolutely love that and we for sure need more of this even if it’s just platonic it’s so fun and nice to see
When they were talking about the mint sauce, Andrew mentioned something about Chicken Nuggets and I immediately thought about Amelia Dimoldenberg 😁
Same
he lost it when Florence put out all garlic everything on his face HAHAHAHAHA knowing the previous episode about him being not a fan of garlic
This was an awesome episode! 😂
Andrew and Florence are honestly the definition of ‘Immaculate Vibes’. ❤
"What are the edgiest dogs?" 😭😭😂😂
This is definitely one of the best ones for a while

pls florence going on a shopping spree 😭 she's so me
Dream pub trip right here. These 3 would be a blast 😂
This is sooooo good!!!
This was a delight
Great guests and great unpopular opinions!
Mint Sauce on chicken was a favourite of mine as a kid, much preferred it over gravy.
0:32 na na Florence Pugh lol 😂😂
Wonder if she would sing that to a baby lol 😂
Florence is just filled with unpopular opinions, isn't she? This is why we love her!
A couple of the edgiest dogs might be the basenji or Siberian husky. Or maybe komondors and Russian borzois.
I so want Florence to decorate my house 😮 imagine it would end up looking like an Austin Powers lair with the lava lamps and colourful toilets and I DIG THAT
I never thought I’d love Florence more…and then she goes and talks about colored toilets!
Such a good duo! ❤❤
Florence is lovely
When Andrew started talking about neon lights on the wall in your house, I had a vivid memory of "hello there" being turned into "hell here"
This video was hilarious when I first saw this and I never expected that shock of anger from andrew.
I own 5 lava lamps, 1 candle powered one, I’m obsessed with the them

andrew telling simon to do one hahahaha😭
7:32 bless Andrew, we were all thinking that
this is gonna make me buy a lava lamp
Same hahahaha
Yes to neon Mushrooms Florence Pugh ❤️
I love this show! When I see an unpopular opinion I click!
Bjg Dip Energy would be great name for AGs dip restaurant
That sounds like it belongs next door to Bob’s Burgers.
2:12 shout out to hummus bros, what a nostalgia trip
I don't think I've ever watched them talk about 1 thing for a long as they talked about lava lamps.
Poor Mercedes got forgotten 😂😂
In Australia, nearly all guide dogs are labradors...😂
Same here in the UK but he’s right you very rarely see chocolate ones. Mostly golden…maybe the odd black one.
Sounds like Simon needs a hug.
I’ve never heard someone campaign for more dog diversity in movies lol
How did no one quote “hot sauce in my bag - swag”??
7:30 I laughed so hard

How can you hate on lab's 😂
They had lava lamps on the home plant of the daleks
The best one of all time. The Tom Hollander one is a second.

I'm totally up for trying mint sauce on lasagna. Not sure if I'll like it, but hell yeah for an experiment!

I thought they were talking about golden retrievers, and I was 100% on board but labradors are the perfect dog
How are they still on a promo tour?
they promote on UK radio The film is released January 1 in the UK
Different countries have different release dates.
How did no one take the opportunity to interrogate Andrew about if he is actually now going out with Amelia Dimoldenberg????
Because it was a bit they were doing for promo. Not real 😭
remember when andrew said he didn't have amelia's number during the chicken shop date? i quite strongly believe that he still doesn't have it

The dog diversity line is what made it for me, I couldn't help but chuckle but then after thinking about it I slightly agree.
Diversity in dogs. Jeez woke gone mad! Half the time they have a dog that’s a mix of everything in films.
Florence please make this and let us know what uou thought perhaps on your socials please
Unpopular opinion: there's no problem with getting straight A's. And I didn't even have them.
Amen!

They aren’t saying there’s something wrong with it, they’re saying it can be annoying seeing people being perceived as perfect (like Labradors are)
My first thought as soon as that was mentioned
Omg RIP HUMMUS BROS
I was LITERALLY just thinking this morning about how much I hate Labradors.
Wait what did they Bleep? i dont remember Andrew swearing
I really dislike Mintsauce, but I honestly CAN Imagine it working on Lasagne... Call me Crazy xD
High five to Mercedes about lava lamps!!!!
You can have lamb in lasagne... it's normal
Florence Pugh is obsessed with Lava Lamps!
Mint sauce on chips?
I think golden retrievers are more overrated. I imagine you can't say that in Engeland, but I stand by it.
how is florence not wearing a vest with pockets,
Simon is a nutter.
Labs are brilliant.
Mint sauce on chicken …..Noooooo Andrew 😂😂😂

I've owned labradors, they are not boy scouts, bottomless pits and love to wreck gardens
Simon can get in the bin.
I completely understand Simon’s point about labradors
This world is not inclusive. All the designs nowadays includes neon lights, not epileptic friendly at all.
Florence is a little too enthusiastic about lava lamps lol. They're alright. Can take or leave them

Weird people. Suspect behaviour. There's a a reason why labs are often chosen for guide dogs. They have the best temperament
