Great suit! You explained it perfectly about wearing men's fashion; once I started wearing what made me feel comfortable my confidence soured! It is great living a life of authenticity! Thank you for the video!
Sharone Brown then just go to her page twitter.com/harto (while you are logged in) and click on "follow" ;) i dunno how to send pictures, i guess you upload them and then put @harto into the text?
randomtrucks no problem, I just find it that even if I don't know you, why not give out free complements, hugs, and cookies. (: it should be my job. 🍪🍪🍪 not enough people get complements, and it sucks.
The journey of Hannah is so awesome. Seeing her be so cool and just comfy in her own body and clothes now, is so satisfying! Be you Hannah B!!!!! We luh you.
im glad hannah made this video cause while i am a straight girl, i LOVE guys clothes and thats probably becuase my parents dressed me in boys clothes from birth because i was so tiny as a baby and they didn't make baby lady clothes in those sizes at the time. this makes me feel better about the way i dress. thanks hannah!
Hannah I just wanna say that this video right now is helping me a lot cus well my sister just had her prom and she was all dressed up and she looked ducking gorgeous and it's my prom next year and my parents keep going in about what dress I should wear (I've never exactly been the girly type so they're trying to get me hyped up about it) I keep telling them I don't wanna go to prom when the truth is I'm nervous about wearing a dress or even just anything girly cus it's just not me. And they don't understand that they keep saying stuff like "what if it's harry potter themed" or "we could get one with a marvel print" and all I can think is : it's still a dress. So I hope to show them this video and see if they understand the only problem is if I turn up to prom in a suit everyone will probably start talking about it and I'm not good with being in the lime light , I just don't like it especially with the kinda kids in my year at school cus they're all so judgemental and they might not understand it but anyway yeah this video has given me a little more courage to speak out and say that I don't wanna dress how they want me to dress cus that's just not me . I don't think my mum will ever understand that tho cus she's always hated how I dress she try's not to let on but I know and it annoys me cus it's who I am and I don't wanna change how comfortable I am about my appearance just to please her cus even tho I love her I need to be able to love myself (anyone else smelling cheese?) but yeah I just wanna thank you cus no one in my year is really like this and I thought I was weird but this video shows me I'm not
Idk if this will help you, but it helped me a lot when I realized this: people will always find a reason to hate you, no matter what standards you conform to. So, just be you, and make you happy. The sad reality is the kids at your school may never be happy with you, so it doesn't matter what they think. Impress yourself. Feel good in your own skin💖
I relate to this so much. I still feel uncomfortable when I go out and dress more masculine because every other girl around me dresses feminine and I feel self concious as the odd one out. Slowly getting more confident and I really admire you Hannah :) I automatically feel better when I see you doing you and rocking it, it makes me remind myself that I can do it to. Awesome video and definitely do more please :)
TRANSCRIPT: 0:00 [singing] I’m so fancy, I’m a rainy(?) top hat. 0:04 Who are you- what are you trying to- who are you trying to impress? You guys! 0:09 [camera shutter sound] 0:11 This week on my drunk kitchen. In honor of fashion week, we’re not in a kitchen nor is it fashion week. This week on… 0:22 Hey guys, so a lot of you have been talking about what a great and amazing style icon I am, but I haven’t always been so fancy, so I’m going to take you guys on a brief walk down fashion past as I show you Hannah Hart’s… 0:40 [clock ticking sound] 0:42 Pictured to my right is me enjoying San Francisco’s own Yuri night, which is a night honoring some astronaut guy. At least, I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. As you can see I’ve done- delicately tucked an alien into my chest like it’s bursting forth from me while I bust out some sweet dance moves! Pretty sure this was the year 2006. Hard to say. 1:05 This next look comes from my co-op, which is the communal house in Berkeley where I lived. We were going out to a drag night, probably. I was still in the closet at this time. But I’m beginning to think people had some subtle hints. 1:21 This next look comes from Hannah Hart 21st birthday circa 2000… How old was I when I turned 21? What year is it? 2014, 27, minus 6. Anyway as you can tell, this is a beautiful silk dress that is being, uhm, highlighted by the white accents of the toilet bowl and the sheer enthusiasm of my inebriated ecstasy. 1:46 Next. Now we’re leaving college. As you can see, I’m drowning my life crisis woes in gallons of potatoes and binge karaoke. All I know is that later that sweet plastic axe turned into a sax as I did the solo to some song. [Hannah making saxophone sounds] Like that. 2:12 Moving right along. Now I’d like to take you guys to My Drunk Kitchen: Episode 2. Episode 2 happened while I was actually on graduate school interviews in London, but I didn’t go to those interviews, and, instead, went to Morroco with a bunch of friends, wearing that same shirt as previously featured. Woah! That body language isn’t the body language of somebody who’s showered recently. That’s somebody who hasn’t showered in, ohhh, I’m going to say a solid 6 days. You gotta feel good to look good kids. And a big part of looking good is bathing. 2:45 The next picture that popped up was this one from Christmas. As you can see, I’m still donning my beloved pattern of plaid, while rocking a beanie that yes will later get peed on in New York, so. Never over it! 2:58 Moving right along, so the streamy awards, in this photo, I’m clearly somebody torn between two fashion worlds. Do I go the feminizing route of the leather pants and the heels or do I embrace my true love of mens wear with the undone bow tie that sweet sweet vest and my cool, crisp white shirt? Which do I pick? I don’t even know. As you can tell from my gesturing and facial expressions. [slide whistle downward sound] And that’s it! 3:28 Those are all the photos I had. So what’s the point of this video guys. I’ll tell you right- 3:32 And that’s it those are all the photos I had on my laptop that I screenshot, so what’s the point of this video guys? I’ll tell you what the point of the video is. 3:40 [emotional music starts playing in the background] The point of this video is that I always thought I didn’t have an interest in fashion at all. Mainly because I didn’t like to go shopping for dresses. I thought high heels were uncomfortable. And I felt uncomfortable and more insecure in my personal self every time I dressed up for an event. But the truth was not that I was so deeply uncomfortable getting dolled up for a formal event. No. I’m actually super superficial. I just like mens wear. 4:03 [default ringtone remix playing] 4:36 Here’s the point kids. Maybe you’ve had a hard time finding clothes in your style. Maybe you’ve felt pretty insecure about the way you look. Be patient and be kind to yourselves in that process of discovery because at the end of it, the number one message is to look at yourself in a mirror and say you got this dude or lady dude or dude lady or lady lady or y’know whatever you are, you are. Just don’t fuck up other people. 5:05 dididididi. If you guys like this video, click like and let me know, and maybe I’ll do more fashion tips and tricks from somebody who has no idea what they’re talking about. [muffled laugh] Mwah! Have a great day.
Dat montage doe. I'm currently wiping the tears from my face. Hannah you are just the most majestic of dapper creatures. May the cheese always be with you.
Hi Hannah, I know this is an old video so forgive me. First off thank you for sharing those pictures. I just really wanted to thank you this video meant a lot to me. I've never felt comfortable in any clothes but since I've started dressing the way I want I feel a little more at ease in my own skin and its pretty simple " I just like menswear" Its never been easy to explain that to my family and friends and I have been bullied most of life because of it. SMH, I don't know why what I wear bothers others so much. Not that seeking approval is what I'm into. I'm happy being me. You are champ! Many thanks for all the great advice, laughs and wisdom your videos bring.
It may have taken a little while but I defiantly believe that you have found the right style for you Hannah! It takes a while for everyone and it may change a million times in the future but right now, it's amazing! X
You are incredibly awesome. I hope you wake with the knowledge every morning that you are an incredible person. No matter how humble you are, I really do wish you nothing but the utmost confidence in yourself. YOU ROCK.
PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE FASHION VIDEOS! I love menswear- its comfortable, it fits better, and I just personally like the style of men's clothing better. However, I still have trouble sometimes deciding how to put something together
So I actually didn't realise before that she went to UCB, and since we're basically the same age, I am now freaking out at the idea that we were attending the same school at the same time... *cries quietly*
You're awesome! I support being yourself with all my heart. Personally, I'm really girly and refused to wear pants at a young age (when it was cold I would wear 2 pairs of thick tights). I say if you like men's wear do your thing! You have actually inspired me to wear more athletic skirts instead of the shorts all my friends wear!! Thanks Hannah! Cheers to being your self! I wish you would come to Alabama sometime and spread your awesomeness down here!
I have never worn anything particularly feminine sine I was like 7 (I'm 14 now) and my parents keep assuming I'm gonna change but NOPE. Like ew tight clothes, I just don't feel comfortable in them. I just stick to baggy shirts and hoodies that're actually intended for men.
Same, I just can't stand wearing right shirts or skirts or dresses or short shorts, and I don't think it should be looked down upon just because we don't feel comfortable wearing what most girls wear.
I have always loved menswear the most too. Thank you for sharing the evolution of your style. Mine is way more embarrassing, and continues to be such, even though I am a fashion designer. It's complicated. I think you look great though, and it doesn't really matter what you look like because your personality always shines through, which is way mo beta than fancy pants.
Goddamnit, Hannah. As a dude who recently moved to DC from the midwest and is struggling with this whole men's fashion shit and not wearing free clothes from college to work... you just outfashioned me hard.
I just figured out that I like menswear too, which is why I've always had a hard time with clothes. But it's a bit different for me since I'm straight...
Hannah, you look so fantastic in your new clothing! I absolutely love it and it "suits" you very well! (I love to make the puns as well). You're such an inspiration to me and watching your videos always make me smile. I love you babe!
i relate to this BIG TIME. i dont feel entirely comfortable in most stereotypically female clothing. certainly i'll throw on a dress for a wedding (but my taste in dresses is specific and unpredictable), i want to look cute for that, but day to day i just wanna be comfortable dude, and that's more of a sporty/tom boy look. jeans & t-shirts all day. and its taken me 25+ years to come to that realization. finding your style is a process and it continues to be one.
OMG I thougth I was the one!!! I'm almost 14 and I was thinking why can't you be youngest!!! But I'm not gay, I bisexual, so Idk if a gay girl would date a bisexual one? Idn
I tooootally feel you, I grew up with that "on the fence" with ladies & mens fashion.. I feel SO good wearing nice dress pants & a button up shirt! Always wear what makes you feel HAPPY & CONFIDENT! I LOVE your video montage, your personality shines through on everything you do !! :D And through all the people you meet! ~
My mom hates that I wear men's clothing. Though when I dress up, I wear women's dress pants and a button up shirt. But for the purpose of shorts, most shirts, shoes, some pants, I prefer the way men's cloths fit me. They always fit my body better than form fitting women's clothing. Even when I buy jackets and hoodies, I buy men's. It drives my mother insane. I'm 19, and she insists that one day I will learn how to shop in the women's section.
if you are making your own money shop in whichever section of the store you feel the most comfortable in. maybe she freaks out cause your her only daughter maybe? I don't know just let her be then
Hannah Hart, no matter what kind of fashion you don, you rock that shit! Recently I have realized you look more comfortable in what you wear which, in mine and the majority of people's opinion, makes you infinitely more attractive!
Kipper Clothiers are such a talented company. Thank you for introducing me to their beautiful suits. I'm in love with yours! Also donated to the kickstarter cos they're awesome!
Hannah..You should develop a suit line for women! I love suits, but every time I buy one I have to spend a fortune having it altered to fit my curves. I have found more modern style oriental suits for men look pretty bitchin' on women (perfect stemwear for girls not wanting to be femm or full stud..but something inbetween); however, when I order a size to accommodate my larger breast..I have to spend a bunch having the waist altered. While I like menswear, I also enjoy showing off my curves as a woman..but most fashion designers have yet to create line of clothing that addresses both desires. Just saying..I bet if you invested in producing a small line like that, it could potentially take off.
Hannah you make me feel so much more comfortable with my style (that constantly changes) I truly look up to you even though I actually look down when I met you :D
Omg Hannah is dapper as Fuck and dresses better than most people I know. Ladies and gents take note!! Also Hannah I love you, love love love love love you!!!
Hannah your new suit looks awesome! Kind of reminds me of the 10th doctor, in a very awesome way! Please please PLEASE do a lookbook video on your more casual clothes and where you normally shop because I agree you ARE one fashionable gal!
And now I have Baker Street stuck in my head. It's one of my all time favorite songs though, so I don't mind. It was actually the first song I decided to learn when I started playing sax. Hannah looks good in that suit. I love the colors she chose. I really need to get myself a good suit. I've never liked wearing girly clothes, especially when I was forced to as a kid. I find men's clothes to be more my style, and more comfortable.
My life in a nutshell. I remember going to my formal in a big dress and heels and feeling like absolute shit. Everyone said I looked great but I felt like a baby fawn running around like an idiot. Now I wear more androgynous clothing - still semi feminine but I never wear heels or dresses. Just ain't my thang jangalang.
I only recently have broken away from my jeans and oversized hoodies that I wore to hide my insecurities and embassies dresses and leggings and fun girly stuff and I feel happier and more comfortable with myself now than I ever have. And if people think I look bad, well that's not really for them to decide now is it.
i feel this to some degree. i'm genderqueer so i like to wear both men's and women's clothes and my mother isn't very supportive of that. my best advice is waiting it out until you're old enough to buy your own clothes and not have to answer to anyone else.
You could stealth get some clothes from the guy's section (especially works for shirts) and throw them in the cart and act like they're girl's clothes.
I love 'male' fashion, and those threads you got are killer. I'm a weird mix of tight pants, heels and male button ups (I don't rock a vest or bow tie though, maybe I should invest?) but that's my style and I love it. You rock you and I'll rock me and we'll be classy all up in here!
"How old was I when I turned 21?" I burst out laughing
LibertyLikes I ask myself the same thing sometimes
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Hannah in a suit.
Amen.
+Hannah Rose IKR its badass. XD
+Hannah Rose She looks AMAZING.
Being inVESTed in your clothing really SUITS you. HATS off, Hannah!
perfection
nikkidarling You should be proud of that. x) That was Puntastic(I tried xD).
Stefney Lucas I won't lie; I am stupidly proud of it. :D
nikkidarling I would be :P
My brain just exploded
Loving that Hannah can literally dress in a suit and still manage to not look butch. Also loving Hannah in general. Okay, bye now.
Ahhh did anybody else think that their phone was ringing ????
MacDaddieMc I use the remix as my ringtone, so yeah ^^
Jacob Doran how do you find this remix?
Seeing Hannah wearing that suit... it's like I both wanna wear that suit and also BE that suit while she's wearing it.
Women in suits are the greatest
I've never seen a more accurate comment tbh. She looks stunning :)
"How old was I when I turned 21?" CRYING :'D
I thought i was the only one who noticed that lol
I'm in love with your hair.
And your cheekbones.
And omg who looks that good in menswear?!?
She is so pretty...
IN THE FACE.
Hannahs flannel game rivals that of a Winchester. That suit though, suits you so damn well!
Great suit! You explained it perfectly about wearing men's fashion; once I started wearing what made me feel comfortable my confidence soured! It is great living a life of authenticity! Thank you for the video!
I am little new at this You Tube ...definitely older lol.. How do I send a picture or follow you on Twitter? Please advise? Thank you!

This may be one of my favourite videos ever.
I think we can confirm that Hannah's flannel game is, in fact, too strong.
You should bring out a line of women's suits! :)
Hannah in a tank top though, man.
*sweats profusely*
PS care to share any fashion advice (or even just what you like) regarding man clothes on mans?
Michael Ashburne She's so perfect. I can't even.
Hannah in a suit 😍 she's a blessing.
The journey of Hannah is so awesome. Seeing her be so cool and just comfy in her own body and clothes now, is so satisfying! Be you Hannah B!!!!! We luh you.
women in suits are the best things ever. and you are no exception.

0:00 [singing] I’m so fancy, I’m a rainy(?) top hat.

0:11 This week on my drunk kitchen. In honor of fashion week, we’re not in a kitchen nor is it fashion week. This week on…
0:22 Hey guys, so a lot of you have been talking about what a great and amazing style icon I am, but I haven’t always been so fancy, so I’m going to take you guys on a brief walk down fashion past as I show you Hannah Hart’s…
0:40 [clock ticking sound]
0:42 Pictured to my right is me enjoying San Francisco’s own Yuri night, which is a night honoring some astronaut guy. At least, I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. Hi Hannah, I know this is an old video so forgive me. First off thank you for sharing those pictures. I just really wanted to thank you this video meant a lot to me. "How old was I when I turned 21"
The statement you made at the end about just being yourself is so wonderful
"Whatever you are, you are. Just don't fuck up other people."
As someone who has only very recently felt comfortable enough to wear what they want, that being almost exclusively menswear, I LOVE THIS!
Tfw you want to add more menswear to your wardrobe but your parents won't let you *cries*
It may have taken a little while but I defiantly believe that you have found the right style for you Hannah! It takes a while for everyone and it may change a million times in the future but right now, it's amazing! X
I LOVE MENSWEAR! The problem is that women's clothes are too cheap looking, whilst men wears are stylish classy and easy to pick.
Your hair is on a whole other level in this vid. Like.....the best level. Like you just beat every other level.
"Just don't fuck up other people."
I think we could all learn a lot from ol' Hannah.
You are incredibly awesome. I hope you wake with the knowledge every morning that you are an incredible person. No matter how humble you are, I really do wish you nothing but the utmost confidence in yourself.
YOU ROCK.
I will take Hannah singing Fancy as a tribute as well! :P
I think that you have transcended the limitations of mere fashion and entered the sublime realm of personal style. Yay, personal style!
You look so beautiful 😍
*drawing rainbows everywhere 🌈*
PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE FASHION VIDEOS! I love menswear- its comfortable, it fits better, and I just personally like the style of men's clothing better. However, I still have trouble sometimes deciding how to put something together
UC Berkeley-era Harto or "I've been drunk in SOOOO many of the places those pictures were taken."
Go Bears & Go Beers!
So I actually didn't realise before that she went to UCB, and since we're basically the same age, I am now freaking out at the idea that we were attending the same school at the same time... *cries quietly*
baretoedgirl UCB will always mean Upright Citizen's Brigade to me.

Hahaha what happened to the editing at 3:30?
Thought it was just me!
Maybe some drunk editing? lol
Probably xD or just trying to confuse us!
I demand new My Drunk Editing videos...
I love you babe!
can you do a video playing ukulele?
Oh my god. I would never have thought this, but now that you've mentioned it I can't stop thinking of anything else. That would be awesome.
i relate to this BIG TIME. i dont feel entirely comfortable in most stereotypically female clothing. certainly i'll throw on a dress for a wedding (but my taste in dresses is specific and unpredictable), i want to look cute for that, but day to day i just wanna be comfortable dude, and that's more of a sporty/tom boy look. jeans & t-shirts all day. and its taken me 25+ years to come to that realization. finding your style is a process and it continues to be one.
I'm in love with your skin and the fact that you seem to have no body hair at all, hahah
I heartily endorse the donning of more vests. Hannah rocks the vest.
Your so cute Hannah oh my goodness. I'm literally so much younger than you and I'd still date you dear god
OMG I thougth I was the one!!! I'm almost 14 and I was thinking why can't you be youngest!!! But I'm not gay, I bisexual, so Idk if a gay girl would date a bisexual one? Idn
Don't worry. I'm 16 and crushing lol.
Alba Hernandez I thank GOD I found you guys...I thought I was the only one.
Alba Hernandez Of course a gay girl would date a bisexual girl. Don't worry lol.
Alba Hernandez And I was already worried about crushing on Hannah cuz I'm 19 XD
I'm the same. Almost every shirt I own has come from the men's section. Even my sneakers!
if you are making your own money shop in whichever section of the store you feel the most comfortable in. maybe she freaks out cause your her only daughter maybe? I don't know just let her be then
Hannah Hart, no matter what kind of fashion you don, you rock that shit! Recently I have realized you look more comfortable in what you wear which, in mine and the majority of people's opinion, makes you infinitely more attractive!
You look amazing in the tank top and the menswear. I'm suddenly feeling very Hartosexual. You're so sweet and cute.

Kipper Clothiers are such a talented company. Thank you for introducing me to their beautiful suits. I'm in love with yours! Also donated to the kickstarter cos they're awesome!
Menswear is awesome 😄🎩
That suit is REALLY nice, and so is the outfit you were wearing before you changed!! Gosh, so stylish, Hannah!!
Custom suit FTW :-)
This was insanely helpful Hannah! I too enjoy mens wear and always have. You are so inspirational!
dapper as fuck
Props to Kipper Clothier for such a brilliant concept, as well as their beautiful clothes. So like, very need.
"how old was I when I turned 21?" oh hannah
She's actually the cutest thing, and I love her suits
What is the name of the song that starts at 4:03 ?
Omg Hannah is dapper as Fuck and dresses better than most people I know. Ladies and gents take note!! Also Hannah I love you, love love love love love you!!!
Hannah is basically a baby Ellen
That's exactly what I think😜
Potentially one of my favourite videos of 2014!
Goddammit Hannah you look finnneee
am i the only one that is really loving your hair in this video?? it looks awesome and shineyyyy
Ahaahaha, "how old was I when I turned 21?!" xD
This was just... just so great. Also babe, you look SO GOOD.
Hannah your new suit looks awesome! Kind of reminds me of the 10th doctor, in a very awesome way! Please please PLEASE do a lookbook video on your more casual clothes and where you normally shop because I agree you ARE one fashionable gal!
how old was i when i turned 21?
You have become one dapper lady, Hannah. I can't get over it.
Mens wear is HELLA more comfortable than female attire.
I only recently have broken away from my jeans and oversized hoodies that I wore to hide my insecurities and embassies dresses and leggings and fun girly stuff and I feel happier and more comfortable with myself now than I ever have. And if people think I look bad, well that's not really for them to decide now is it.
And you look damn beautiful in menswear.
You are soooooo cute! Especially with your little lisp that sometimes is and sometimes isn't! :D You're literally adorable! ♡
You really pulled of the suit
I'd pull that suit right off...;)
^^THAT WAS SO SMOOTH OMG
I love your hair!!
interestingly enough, I have a similar sense of fashion :)
Well then I adore your style tbqh
reminds me of baby ellen DeGeneres
This was my first Hannah video . AND I LOVED IT.
One word: UNF.
Movie Magic MAGGIE!!! Loving the Cameo!! Glad to see shes doing well!!!!! Also loving the face at 4:16-4:17
I like boys clothes more than girls clothes and I'm a girl but my mum won't let me get it and doesn't want to admit that i like it! Help please!
i feel this to some degree. i'm genderqueer so i like to wear both men's and women's clothes and my mother isn't very supportive of that. my best advice is waiting it out until you're old enough to buy your own clothes and not have to answer to anyone else.
suncutie12 Thank you so much!
You could stealth get some clothes from the guy's section (especially works for shirts) and throw them in the cart and act like they're girl's clothes.
Magic Penguin True that would work i'm going to try it out
I love 'male' fashion, and those threads you got are killer. I'm a weird mix of tight pants, heels and male button ups (I don't rock a vest or bow tie though, maybe I should invest?) but that's my style and I love it. You rock you and I'll rock me and we'll be classy all up in here!
Perfect woman.
NO. at the streamies you looked amazing. I loved the heels and waistcoat/vest look!
I will never get over how hot she is.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating: Hannah, you are adorable.
