I highly recommend playing her with warp stone. Also you can cast your wall while swapping. So the combo goes 3-4-2. This way when you hit enemies with the kinetic carbine shot first, it is a guarenteed swap combo -because you don't give the reaction time to enemy casting wall before swap-. (you should spam your wall after casting the ult and if you are too close to the enemy it wont work, it works best when you are at least 10 meters away from the enemy.) 19:08

But I feel like the live commentary has more energy and banter which makes me as a viewer more excited to watch you as a person, and I feel like it gives a better thought of the micro moment to moment decisions.

Yes, when you hit rejuve, the candle minions get bigger and stronger temporarily. The reason I like your live commentaries is because your genuine first impression is a lot more fun rather than after the fact. Listening to you freaking out, or pogging off during great moments is enjoyable. But that's just me. And I'll watch the vids either way.
I found you via Deadlock since i'm borderline obsessed with it atm but I prefer live commentary but I could see how it would be difficult at times to stay locked in whilst doing it.
11:14 Paradox wall doesn't actually stop bullets, it simply delays them for 1 second. Excellent for dodging, terrible for structures since it doesn't actually do anything.
Hey Mast, I’ve put a lot of time into Paradox myself and explored a lot of builds with her. With double barriers I prefer Veil Walker for the extra 300 spirit and bullet shields instead of Fortitude. I also really like slowing bullets early on instead of mystic shot, just allows you to stack more shots and damage from the combos and they can’t escape as easily after 4. Been loving the deadlock videos!
I like mystic shot for the burst, since the 3 is a bullet it also works on it. I find stacking spirit is not as strong as bullet damage mainly since the 3 only scales movement speed off of spirit and not damage, I get slowing hex and other on use purples to help in team fights or catching.
Paradox does a lot of damage in laning phase and I feel is one of the strongest. You can use your 3 to stun the enemy in your 1 and get half or more of the grenade damage on them. The grenade also amps damage by 5% each tick, which does help your gun damage as well. Another good place to grenade is when you see them doing punches, as they get locked into the heavy before being able to dodge out.
As a Paradox player, although I'm here late, you will slow down when you aim if Carbine is active while airborn. It also costs 1 ammo, why you can't fire it while firing. You also can wall Haze ult, just shots go through it after a moment and they were bouncing off the Wraith to hit you around it. Hopefully clears a though things up that seemed confused on
Live or Post is just fine man: live free Mast. You do you. I’m a former Smite player (8+ years) who is now obsessed with Deadlock. It’s so fun.. I really wanted to like Smite 2 but I still really can’t enjoy it. Not sure if it’s a timing / development thing or if I’m just completely over it. Wraith and Mo&Krill are my favs so far. Speedy Fleetfoot burrowed Mo is a hilarious thing to behold

I think the interaction with the 3 is based off of this logic, you charge the magic bullet in your chamber and fire. So if your mag is out, there is no bullet to fire. If it functions as a normal firearm and you havent fired the shot in your chamber after taking the mag out, i feel like it should still let you do it. The devs might just not know that, or it might be more of a battery situation so the moment you take the powercell out, you have no base energy to supercharge. Just my thoughts.
Should try to parry Abrams after the shoulder charge. There's a good chance they go for a greedy heavy melee and the stun will wear off fast enough for you to parry. Especially early game when a good parry can net you an easy kill. I think a mix of live and post is fine. Both have their upsides.
Hey Mast,you robably know this already but if you want some good cheese, going echo shard and range/duration on seven is very enjoyable. If you time it right too they just stand still during the second stun so it looks like they just gave up and went afk. Its not necessarily good but its extremely fun

Any reason you decided not to use warp stone? I think it’s one of the best items on paradox because you can warp right after an ult to get back to safety. Warping through your own 2 to reposition is also a cheeky move at times. It ups your gun damage too so generally fits in with your game plan.
Doing a live commentary while playing Paradox of all characters is wild. Played better than I ever can on her though. As for live vs post, while I'm learning a game I prefer post-commentary so I can hear exactly why you made a decision and what factors led to it. Once I'm in and/or done playing a game, live commentary is genuinely more entertaining. I think your audience is casual+ (just playing the game but incorporating tips and tricks they hear) so live is more likely the better option but I don't know your analytics, just going off of the comment section. Also yeah, as long as someone has rejuvenator, the minions have much higher health so they can push lanes while you're using the Rejuv to team fight. I also just realized that, I don't think they used to be chonkers but I'm not positive.
Might have been an argument for staying with the yellow guardian -- not to keep it alive, but simply to deny the souls when it died. Just gotta be confident you can get out before the two laners collapse on you.
When sliding, you have infinite ammo. It doesn't take ammo from your current mag until you stop sliding. Doing this on the stairs in front of the guardian basically extends your mag by a couple bullets/bursts so you can get more damage out on it.
Deadlock player here. I enjoy the live comms more personally. Just feels more personal and less “so here I remember this happens” idk if that makes sense. I watch both but these are more, how should I say, focused on the game and the ideas you have in the moment? Idk. But they’re both enjoyable in their own ways. Still haven’t run into you yet and I’m pissed.
No active items? Thats the big tell with Paradox mains vs. a new Paradox. Her abilities have a long ass cooldown, adding a few active items make her a lot stronger. Also, the Combat Barrier and Enchanters Barrier have a 1 min cooldown once emptied, so, the Veil Walker item is almost necessary around the 15-20 min mark n for instant refresh. Her mobility is king. Also, live commentary is better. There are enough people who just talk over their recordings. Live commentary helps because it shows what you were thinking and how to approach situations, vs using hindsight.
I'm a smite viewer, this cool too but I'd like to see a smite video every now and then though but I do understand playing something else that's fun other than just the same game
I think I prefer post commentary, because then you can focus more on your gameplay and make fewer mistakes. Doing live commentary either the gameplay or the commentary will suffer to some extent because it's impossible to perfectly multitask both. But it's better if you do the post commentary right after finishing the match because if you leave it too long you'll forget what your thought process was. I enjoy the live commentary too but I think post is better :D
Can someone Explain me why nobody uses the right click time slow when you are charging your 3 on Paradox? MikaelS also doesnt use it, is there a specific part that i miss for not using it?
Honestly if you can do a mix of both that would be best, have some live commentary and some post match commentary explaining macros or thought processes that you didn’t express in the moment
I personally prefer the live commentary on games, even though it might mean your performance in the games may suffer a little as you're learning and developing at these early stages of Deadlock's lifecycle.
I also thought tiktok was cringe but its pretty unfiltered by large corps unlike facebook insta ect so you can hear a lot of diverse and unique voices more easily which is whats cool about it.
One problem with the Live commentary is unless you catch a mistake while you are doing it there are no corrections. Not very good for teaching imo. Example around 22 mins when you try to contest the walker. It was basically full health but you didn't do much to prevent them from killing it. Also think sometimes you are a little too busy talking/explaining and miss a lot of whats going on in the game like at 16:30. You miss 3 players rotating towards you on the map
I absolutely preffer live commentaries, and the comment chain you mentioned saying post-commentaries are better, aside of the main comment, is kinda toxic. This is called "live" for a reason haha - To me, the post commentary is "dead" and dull. I much preffer the "in the moment" reactions and thoughts and laughter than that.

Your wall(2) doesn't actually stop bullets, it delayes them by 1 seconds. So putting it in front of objectives does nothing.
