I envy Elizabeth. She saw this great ships in real at her time.
To think the Queen went from this to reviewing a few rowing boats on the Thames
The tradition was too much
We run out of money helping to save the world from fascism. Fat lot of good it's done us.
Some of these ships had only a few years to live. Graf Speed, Royal Oak, Marat, Glorious, Dunquerque...
Graf Spee only had two years left to live scuttled after the battle of the River Plate .
And dont forget theres a japanese ship jlining this spithead
De_ BritishMan yeah, at 4:03 you can see her, she was the Ashigara.
One of my grandfathers was on the Royal Yacht as seen here, the other grandfather (who I never knew) was lost when HMS Royal Oak was sunk in 1939.
I wish our Queen would rule forever. I will cry when we lose her as she is a link to another great era.
Where was the Hood in this? She would have been a nice addition to it.
As memory serves she was there, she just doesn't turn up on camera. The fact that battlecruisers are specifically pointed out by the narrator gives it away, as Hood was the flagship of the battlecruiser squadron and the entire squadron was there.
Wait, they didn’t mention IJN Ashigara??
All of those beautiful vessels lie now in the bottom of the ocean, standing the test of time.
Most were scrapped after ww2
I was disappointed that there was no naval review for the coronation of King Charles.
My father was aboard the USS New York BB-34.
100 ships? Now we've got 100 sailors
King of UK.
God save the King !
