between _Nurture,_ _fishmonger_ and now this EP, this has been a really solid year for music this is such a tight seven tracks, and basically all of them have grown on me a lot since the project first came out I feel like you’d be intrigued by dltzk’s album _Frailty_ if you haven’t already heard it; it’s a really neat blend of emo, grunge, and post-EDM aesthetics
thanks for the comment! Ive listened to Frailty, and i think its pretty good, but I didnt enjoy it as much as many others did. I did a thorough review of it on RYM and AOTY, so if you want to read it, heres the link: www.albumoftheyear.org/user/shazzy/album/418876-frailty/ I would change the rating to a 70-75 though, the album grew on me quite a bit. Maybe I'll do a video review of it as well sometime!
@@shazzyrv that’s fair! i enjoyed it a fair bit, but it more so makes me excited about a sophomore album i think the album kinda peaks with “movies for guys” and “kodak moment” and trails off a fair bit in the second half, but the best moments are pretty phenomenal I’ll go check out your RYM now; literally just made an account there like a week or two ago, haha
@@lucythegray yes, im very very excited for what bigger projects zeke's gonna release next! my profile is pretty barebones to be honest, not much to find that i havent already made a video of lol
i love the parts in the review where you just play the songs and vibe, it's fun to vibe out along with you haha. ALSO i loved how you were talking about how Loansharks isn't your favorite, but then when you started listening to it you couldn't help but vibe out so hard hahaha. I agree with almost all of your takes here- this is an instant classic. I felt the same way about Loansharks at first,--- i wasn't totally in love, but now (around 200 listens later HAHAH), i love it as much as the others. The GABBY START VERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the gabby start verse. That verse is FUCKING AMAZING. Not only are gabby's harmonies PERFECT and creative and beautiful, but lyrically the verse is personal and real. gabby start's lyrics are direct and to the point, and i was also blown away by the sincerity and vulnerability hidden in the metaphors of devon's lyrics on this album also i am personally inspired by how devon just casually obliterates gender on this thing. She is so powerful. The whole project is gloriously queer.
sorry, already listened to it D: i reviewed it in text though if you want, i sent a link somewhere in the replies of this comment section if you wanna check it out:)
