❤ I still like to think Joni played it back on Vancouver Island.

Hi Connie, ...ya know, I've been thinkin' the same thing, wonder if she walked by the table of harps and other instruments and brushed the strings and frames with her curious fingers ;). Just found and bought a mountain dulcimer made by the same maker, look for some videos soon! How's your concertina-ing!!!

Hey Scott, it is leverless but I like to say clevermore because there's still so much you can do, and you don't have the hassle of flipping levers! I'm tuned in F on this song, and I frequently will retune the harp in different registers just depending on what sort of things I might need outside the basic scale, you'd be surprised how natural it sounds, no pun intended as opposed to accidental :-) I also modify pieces by avoiding the notes that I don't have but implying them other ways by making the chord just have some of the notes or putting other notes in there that fill out the chord a bit but don't actually give you the chord per se, I have to do the same with melody notes too, it's kind of a little game to see how you can get the piece and have it sound nice kind of the same way you do with a mountain dulcimer that doesn't have all the frets, I actually prefer it, and some of my all-time favorite harps are leverless, and I plan to keep them that way ;)
