I have the 40….and yes I go to that more than the others as well …I have EVH 100 watt 5150 3 and I always go to my spark I absolutely love the all the options and learning curves that come with it..thanks for the vid and keep rocking brother…
I just got a spark mini to practice with. Wow! what a great sounding amp, I just love that little thing. I downloaded your presets, pretty cool stuff. Thanks for doing that.
What I love about my Spark mini and Spark 2: compact and grab and go capabilities. Can get a satisfying clean and crunch/lead tones. However! Still they are practice amp level and my real amps/pedals are hard to beat. However! Laying down tracks on ipad -logic pro-using Spark 2 is super easy and building an army of tones/tracks such as your video here is obtainable. Great video man! One of best demos so far! A few features not mentioned: Control X BT pedal 150.00 killer...use as loop pedal, stomp pedal , presets...wirelessly. Also, to repeat the digital interface capability. Use ipad/laptop and DAW and use Spark 2 for audio interface.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you like the song. Yes, it's definitely one of my originals. I really love playing that one a lot. It's a challenge and it's a lot of fun
you can use the tuner without the app on the original Spark. I do it all the time. You have to hold down. The tap tempo button and then all of a sudden all the lights light up and you have a tuner right on the front of your Spark. or the top rather.
Hell yeah Jarrod!!!!! I’ve been keeping my eye out cause I figured your demo video was gonna happen. Awesome!!!! I just got mine delivered yesterday, this was perfect timing!
Great video Jared......I was an early adopter of the original Spark 40, and pretty much have all their products in the Spark line. I think the Spark Go is even more fun. That thing is so small, I can stick it in my gig bag.....I use that one the most I would say. So funny....here is the guy on UA-cam with a wall of some of the best boutique amps out there, and he primarily uses a Spark! But, same is true for me. The Spark Go is so small, it sits on my desk all the time, plugging into it is trivial for instant practice session!
@TheChicagoTodd thanks for commenting. Always good hearing from you my friend. It is hilarious that I use the spark more than I use all of my amps. It's the truth though LOL. It's so handy and I absolutely love practicing with it. All of the features make it so easy and convenient to practice and I can honestly tell you that this thing has definitely made me a better guitar player.
Mine just arrived and I think it’s going to be a great upgrade from the original Spark 40 . Definitely lots of wonderful tones . Whistles and bells that the original model didn’t have. This will be idea for my home recording studio and practicing guitars etc. ❤
Thank you for this review. I have been debating on upgrading, Like you I have the spark 1 and actually use it for my acoustic performances at small restaurant bar venues but it has no line out and the 2 does so that would come in handy. Also the two has a built in looper with drums which I use now with separate pedals, this new amp would eliminate all of those worries. Also the 2 is 25 percent louder 🤘🏼 fantastic review man. 🎶🎵🎶. I think you convinced me.
All the Spark Amps sound great. I don't have the Spark Cabinet. But I have all the other ones. The problem I have is not the Amp per se but with the App. Positive needs to modify there apps so that I can move the pedals around the chain. Some pedals sound good after the amp and some sound good before. I wish they would feature a pedal like the Drop Pedal from Digitech. So many songs are in Eb, D Standard, that kind of pedal. Also, I would like a separate folder so that I can create a setlist, so that if I am gigging, I have my songs all laid out. I think an Upgrade to the app is in order. Just my two cents.
@@TONEWARSgearshow I have a pair of the headrush 112s, the fender FR-12s and 2 Spark cabs. I use the spark cabs in a wet-dry-wet with my Astro 20 and the axe-fx. Something about cabinets being wood that sound better to me. However I do have my Spark 40 connected to the Spark cab using the power connector and audio cable. The cab itself POWERS the Spark 40! It is insane. The sounds are really good out of the amp with the cab. It does keep up with a heavy hitting drummer.
Sounds good man! I recently got the Hotone Pulze. I think you would really enjoy that amp and it be good to hear your thoughts on it. it’s a real shame they haven’t added any new amps or pedals to the Spark 2.
The one thing I hate (HAAAATE) about the Spark I is that you have to use an ancient USB output interface (the one used for printers) in order to connect to your computer. I’m sure they improved the I/O on thIS new one.
Hey, great review as always. Really cool. I have a question for you, I have the Spark 1 (the 40 obviously), and I just got the Spark 2. I was thinking of selling the Spark 1. If you had the Spark One would you keep it? Do you notice a difference in sound between the Spark 1 and the Spark 2? Thank you.
Sounds good, cool solo... Have you ever tried a Marshall DSL1? I've seen a few guys like Ola demo it and it's wild how big it sounds for 1W. The clean channel sounds awesome too, even though I (and you) don't really need it, but it's there. Might be a cool video to demo
Love the sound! I know you had great presets for the Spark 40. Because of the different FRFR speakers and amp modelling sounds, would you please be able to either tweak them or create new ones optimized for the Spark 2? Thank you! Loved the song, by the way!
Thanks for commenting. I borrowed this one from a friend. I don't have it anymore. I'll see what I can do in the future if I get my hands on the spark 2 again. Honestly, I don't really think any tweaking is necessary. I think they sound great either way.
@@TONEWARSgearshow Thanks! The part at 2:21 really takes the song to a new/cool dimension. You mentioned you used the Insane amp with the tube drive and the digital delay. How did you dial low, mid and high EQ? Cheers!
Man, I really wanted to like the Spark but I bought one off Amazon and it sounded terrible to me. The worst part was the off axis tone. I understand most guitar speakers don't sound as good when not standing directly in front of the speaker but with the Spark, as soon as you walked 10-15 degrees to the left or right, the tone went from sounding just OK (IMO) to a terrible sounding AM radio type sound. Maybe I just got a bad one but that was my experience with it. Sent it back the next day.
Thanks for commenting. Yeah, you might have gotten a bad one. I've had no issues with mine at all. I play it in my living room and on my deck and I'm typically off access with it as well. And it sounds fine to me. I just use it for a practice amp and I think it sounds great for that and exceeds expectations compared to other practice type products

Bull crap....still the bass has not been corrected. The EQ/chorus mess has still not been corrected. The Cabinet is a joke! One channel with a switch for XLR or 1/4". PG is a joke.........no more of their trash! I returned the cabinet. Tone is sub par. I have a fishman mini that's almost as loud as the 120 watt cabinet and it's 60 watts. PG sells garbage.

Your control of "on/off" effects is next level good. Adds just the right amount of "color." Adds to the riff and doesn't become the riff.
