Construction techniques are completely different in Latin America. Americans build houses of wood and shingles and have to replace the roofs every decade or so. Latin people build their homes with concrete and flat roofs and spend very little money maintaining them. We have homes in our barrio here in Medellin that were built 200 years ago and they still look the same. Mexico is the same way, homes are built to last.
sooo true! these houses last forever!
Architecture and Landscaping with Sara Burdick!! 😄

I happen to like the colorful houses
I love them!!!
Minimalistic..small. houses r da best houses 👍🏻👍🏻🍺🍺🤟
I really love the Colombian rural countryside living. This was fun!! Totally different than here. And i can tell you i hate not having a fenced-in backyard, exactly why i can't have a dog. 😢 great video. Hogar dulce hogar😊
thanks! yep, luckily my dog is much better but we are still building a fence
I'll bet that house is made of stucco and brick. The colors of the houses make walking outside happy. How can you possibly get depressed ealking around the neighborhoods?? 🎉
yea i think its stucco and brick also now that i think about it haha! yep, and its always so nice out!
@@SaraBurdick let me share this. It's 29 degrees at the moment, gray skies, and raining which will likely turn to ice. The trees are bare and the ground is brown. However I have 12 cardinals sitting outside at the moment. Yuck. So when you walk outside today send up a prayer I'll be coming your way soon. I need "happy" soon.
@@pattipetersen2323 hahahah!! come!
