    The London Hammer is 19th century American but the Chinese Characters one is bizarre, it doesn't appear to have ever been man made, it is 270 million years old and the best explanation so far is that it is a natural coincidence... idk what to believe anymore lol.

    Those stone spheres really freaked me out because our TARGET stores have those in front of their entrances. Were they formed by Aliens? They had to be because they are too perfectly round for Target Employees to have made them. It is really scary because you have to walk past them as you enter and exit the store not knowing if they are monitoring you or if they are going to explode. Really strange.

    • @Bellinghamster
      @Bellinghamster 9 років тому +2

      Perhaps levitated them there like the fellow that built the coral castle in Florida moved his large stones.
      He would have giant coral stones delivered on a flat bed truck and insisted the drivers and everyone go away. One day some kids peeked and they saw him with his tripod with a box and he held some cone shaped things in his hand. Resonators no doubt.
      I stand by my comment that no Target Employees could have created them :O)

      Large rocks that resembled dinosaur eggs? Were the rocks that smooth and oval, or were the people who discovered them unable to tell the difference?

    • @lunavarion
      @lunavarion 9 років тому +2

      There's a huge difference between rocks and eggs, though. Eggs are round and smooth. Rocks have lots of jagged edges unless they've been smoothed by water.

    This totally reminds me of Halo's story. 100,000 B.C. AFTER millions of years of Ancient Humans becoming super intelligent and advanced, got into a war with another ancient race called the forerunners, and basically got sent back to the stone age. Even though members of the Covenant ( The alien conglomerate that faces the UNSC forces )worship forerunners, as it turns out, one of the races called the San Shyuum were actually great allies with humanity, but when they were also isolated, their memory of their once great allies faded. They eventually found forerunner artifacts and believed that forerunners were their gods. There's much more to it though. In the lore, forerunners and humans were created by the precursers. So, in Halo's lore, ancient egyptians are bitches compared to the more insanely ancient humans. And those ancient advanced humans are even bigger bitches compared to the precursors. It's like an endless cycle of more ancient races, being more high-tech and advanced. So, basically, 102,552 years after humanity basically had to start over again, is when Halo 1 takes place ( 2552 A.D.) In conclusion, the UNSC in 2552, and the Covenant are STILL cavemen compared to their ancient counterparts.

      EL LOBO Sorry, I couldn't help myself. What is "invoid"? I think you may have misheard or misunderstood the phrase. Also, and this is not just to you but to all the haters, believers and non-believers alike. Please please type more responsibly. Proofread your statements, try to use proper grammar. No one will take your opinion seriously if you spell poorly. It makes you seem uneducated and easier to ignore. And try to think out your argument and state it thoughtfully and calmly. I am quite thankful that we have an internet where we can all have a voice, but sometimes the tone of that sharing is embarrassing to us as a species.

      Jeff M well, we have far more advanced technology, but ancient civilizations had very good ways to do things that we can, like a calendar, writing, and mathematics. ancient tribes also did have better farming methods than people today. native americans actually invented corn by burying seeds of a certain plant with a dead fish and the nutrients from the fish actually turned it into corn. but id say that we are more advanced them them though.

    "An iron and wooden hammer, sometimes called the "London Artifact" or "London Hammer," found by local hikers in a creek bed near London, Texas in 1936, has been promoted by Carl Baugh and other strict creationists as an out-of place artifact. They maintain that the hammer, which was partially embedded in a small, limy rock concretion, originated in a Cretaceous rock formation (or an Ordovician or Silurian one, depending on the account), thus contradicting the standard geologic timetable. However, the hammer was not documented in situ, and has not been reliably associated with any specific host formation. Other relatively recent implements have been found encased in by similar nodules, and can form within centuries or even decades under proper conditions (Stromberg, 2004). The hammer in question was probably dropped or discarded by a local miner or craftsman within the last few hundred years, after which dissolved limy sediment hardened into a nodule around it. Although a brief rebuttal to Baugh's hammer claims was made by Cole (1985), Baugh and a few other creationists continue to promote it." Google is very helpful.

      That's a decent explaination. I started considering it entirely as well, but it doesn't account for why the wooden handle is turning into coal. My understanding is the process of wood transforming into coal takes incredible amount of time. There is the possibility it being a hoax though, and the whole thing was fabicated for some agenda.

    • @vexaris1890
      @vexaris1890 9 років тому

      Cynical Goldfish
      If the hammer was on the surface, the wood couldn't possibly turn into coal by itself; the transformation of vegetable substance into coal occurs around 0,5km depth for lignite aka brown coal and 0,5-2km depth for bituminous coal aka black coal and then 2km-3km depth for anthracite.

    We used to think the world is flat and many humans had cruelly died for not believing, as heretics. We used to think the Sun is revolving around the Earth and again, people had died foolishly. Plague was brought by mortal sins. Remember that one? Draught too...We used to believe and some of us still do in Creationism. Some of us are worshiping the Evolutionism. Since the dawn of humanity we proved wrong so many times that I'd encourage everybody to restrain from definitive answers and take everything with a pinch of salt because most probably (that's almost a promise) in a not too far future, a surprise of large proportions may pop right under our noses, forcing us to rewrite the whole damn history...It's sad 'cause we did that so many fucking times and we still don't get it.
    And since I'm here...I've always wondered what would happen if a bunch of large headed green guys would park their ship in Jerusalem, Mecca or Vatican and start asking for directions...

      Actually, people didn't think the world was flat. It was a known fact that the world was flat since the middle-end of the Ancient Greeks. It was only quite recently about a couple decades ago that the "we used to think the world was flat" thing was in the newspaper as a sort of, insult, for example, "We believed the world was round before you so why should we trust you now?" And the thing just kept on spreading and here we are now!

  • @superamigodeveyd613
    @superamigodeveyd613 10 років тому +18

    Ummm... a few facts?
    Stone spheres - are natural rock formations also found in Moeraki New Zealand and probably elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if the so-called "dinosaur eggs" are the same phenomena. Even if they are real dinosaur eggs what does that show? That we don't know about every single dinosaur... shocking news!
    The "Bagdad battery" was in fact a jar used to contain scrolls. It is typical of jars used for that purpose (including having metal pieces inside to wrap and enclose the scrolls). As for the acid contents anyone who has ever done any type of fermentation will know that this results in acids such as vinegar and acetic acid. A moist scroll enclosed in a sealed container would certainly create acid as it decomposed. In addition no evidence was ever found that they were ever attached to anything. But even if we jump to the conclusion that it was a battery so what? At best it would be a very poor one. Hardly "high tech".
    The Antikithera device cannot be called a computer it was most probably a very well crafted mechanical device that could have showed lunar or planetary motions. We know that thinkers such as Archimedes were producing sophisticated devices (many still used today) using the technologies and knowledge of the time. This device could have been produced using that same knowledge and technology and can be reproduced easily by hobbyists today (as has been done).
    The so-called London artifact is just what it looks like - an early American hammer typical of those used circa 1800. It has been attached to a much older stone by what is called a concretion - the solidification of dissolved chemicals such as carbonates. You can see this phenomenon anywhere water seeps through concrete such as water tanks, basement walls, and retaining walls. These concretions will readily solidify around objects leaning against the wall and can build up by several millimeters a year. The hammer would have been in place for at least 50 years, ample time for the concretion to form. The blackening is obviously from burning not coal formation - which cannot happen without high pressure and heat. In other words the supposed artifact would have had to be buried under tons of rock to allow coal to form and then later exposed by erosion or upheaval. If this had happened all of the wood would have been chemically altered.
    Science today is truly incredible I encourage all readers of this to explore the true wonders science continues to uncover. While the accomplishments of ancient cultures are impressive they don't come close to comparing to our knowledge and technology today. After all the bible says incorrectly that Pi = 3 [1Kings 7:23] when it is in fact 3.1415....

      Anders Liljeblad Actually I'm not claiming to know the unknown that would be silly. What I am saying is that in almost all cases these artifacts are very well explained by existing science - much of which is pretty obvious once you think about certain everyday facts, as I try to show. What I have posted are well-established facts that anyone who doesn't mind googling and picking up a dictionary can verify for themselves.
      The reason for my post is because I think too many people see such artifacts and accept the claim that they are unexplainable by science.
      I'll overlook your barely coherent English as it seems not to be your preferred language but your rude and dismissive tone is really childish.

    • @superamigodeveyd613
      @superamigodeveyd613 10 років тому +1

      Anders Liljeblad Perhaps a few more details would help:
      The most interesting artifact by far is the Antikythera device whose manufacturer and origins are uncertain, though most historians agree it was probably made by someone from Archimedes' school - possibly Hipparchos. What is known is that it would not have been technically difficult to produce at the time it is thought to have been manufactured [around 2BCE] and shows knowledge of no information that was unknown at the time as planetary motions had already been well described by many cultures and it tracks the movements of the same 5 planets known to the Greeks at the time. It is most likely one of several that were produced and then later recycled due to the high value of the bronze they were made of. Here is an account that describes just such a device. "A book written in the first century BCE [by Cicero], tells a story of Archimedes bringing a 'celestial globe' machine to Rome's Temple of Virtue and demonstrating to a stunned audience how it could describe the movements of the sun, moon, and the five planets. It could also predict solar eclipses and the lunar phases. The parallels are incredibly striking."

      Anders Liljeblad I don't know how you could so badly misunderstand my politeness in assuming your poor English was due to language rather than ignorance. I'm not sure which part of anything you have said is intended as irony [which is when your intended meaning is the opposite of what you actually say]. I don't know how anyone who doesn't know you could detect irony in your post when they don't know your views and you give no clues to your intended meaning or that you're being sarcastic.
      Plenty of people watch such things and think "I can't think of an explanation for that off the top of my head so it must be magic/aliens/god(s)/conspiracy, etc..."
      And no you're either wrong or being sarcastic, science is all about truth and reality, not about toying with wacky ideas for things already explained.
      I'm glad you won't be replying you have added nothing worthwhile.
      Just be aware that google translate may not convey the meaning of technical explanations.

    I love how so many people are so stunned by most of these finds. Humans are smart, do you honestly believe that no one could figure out how to make things earlier than they were popularized. In older times, people didn't have the best means of communication, some of the smarted people could have discovered some amazing things and never be able to spread them across the world.
    Most of are inventions come from very organized, and large societies. Why? Because of the strong ties with other countries and/or are notorious for conquering, both of which spread ideas from place to place. Just because someone invented a calculator doesn't mean they wanted to sell it or share the idea with the world.
    The world has been full of people for thousands of years and only now do we find so much innovation, and that's because people have an insensitive to share what they create with others, AKA money. With the means of communication we have now, we can build on one anothers ideas to create amazingly complex things faster than ever before.
    Everyone needs to calm down over every "impossible" find in history, step back and think about who we are and how different people can have the same ideas as others without knowing anything about one another. All i'm saying is it's not so amazingly unlikely to find technology so long before it spread rapidly throughout the world in history.

    Wait... #6 The Voynich Manuscript... none of which has EVER been translated...
    You said it "mentions space and nature figures which weren't known at that time".
    The word "mentions" inherently means that some has been translated.
    You might want to rephrase that.
    "Through study of the drawings it is believed to have referenced space.....", etc.

    • @thebel89
      @thebel89 9 років тому +1

      Some words of Voynich manuscript have been translated. Stephen Bax is currently translating it, but it takes years, because it's written in combination of languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Egyptian, Latin, Ancient Greek, possibly English, German etc. Who ever wrote the book, must have known all languages. Some plants have been already identified, such as water lily and coriander. And at 3:00, on the right, that diagram presents compass, with chinese and western zodiac signs win yin and yang symbols, 7 planets, and outer ring with ancient gods(?). The weird thing about the book is that some words have been repeated 3 times in a row, that could have some special meaning.

      nic nicholas NO the hammer shows that creationists can easily mislead people who don't know anything about geology and don't bother to spend 5 mins finding out. Jaroslav Záruba has posted about this below.
      +Conrad Strubhar Radiocarbon dating is NOT used for dating things that are millions of years old and is only used to date material that was once living.
      In other words you do NOT use it to date rocks or dinosaur bones.
      It could be used to date the wooden handle of the hammer but creationists have never allowed this (I guess they're not so sure of their claims about it).
      If you use any tool inappropriately you'll get a large amount of error - try measuring the width of a hair with a ruler that's only marked in inches!
      Creationist claims about huge errors in dating are either:
      1) From old papers when the science was still being developed.
      2) Using specific methods to measure inappropriate timescales.
      3) Quoting error results out of context, such as readings due to contamination.
      Why take the word of people who need to believe that the earth is young over actual scientists who have done the research and are open to accepting whatever the facts actually are?

    • @nicnicholas6820
      @nicnicholas6820 10 років тому +1

      I never mentioned Carbon dating-I said dating. And I never speculated the age of the Earth-Religion doesn't need to believe the Earth is young-They just do out of stupidity, the ones that do. You argue against things I haven't said-like ya already had it written down somewhere. Smooth.......

    • @rejectfairytales2110
      @rejectfairytales2110 10 років тому

      Go back and look at the post - the 6th line down starts +Conrad... so it's only the top part that was addressed to you. This is obvious.
      NO the hammer is simply an example of a limestone concretion encasing a recent artifact that was laid against much older rocks. People who have spent lifetimes studying geology agree that this is the appropriate explanation.
      What you say is like finding a mobile phone glued to a dinosaur bone and then saying the only possible explanation is that dinosaurs invented mobile phones!
      I guess you've never read a BOOK of fairytales then... or the fairytales of the bible.

    I think today we underestimate what the ancients were capable of.
    Just imagine what more could have existed (or exists) out there... that we just didn´t found yet, or simply dind´t survive until our days.

    It was mostly discovered in the 1980's. Though there have been suppositions before that. People had long thought that is was on Mt. Ararat, but it was actually on one of the sister mountains. It was mostly buried and slightly crushed and the wood had deteriorated away at the sides. But they did find fossilized droppings, fur, and antlers in the belly of the ship. They had also found iron fittings.

    2- THERE ARE 2 TOWER IN IRAN THAT THEY HAVE DISTANDE OF 100 METER, BUT IF YOU MOVE ONE TOWER, ANOTHER TOWER BEGIN TO MOVE TOO, AND NOBODY DONT UNDERSTAND HOW IS IT POSSIBEL THET IF YOU MOVE ONE TOWER, OTHER ONE BEGIN TO MOVE WITHOUT ANY CONECTION BETWEEN THESE TOW TOWER EVEN UNDER GROUND, AND IN IRAN THEY CALL THESE TOWER, " MENAAR GONBUN " OR MOVEMENT'S TOWER'S.

    Those stone spheres could have been used as a primitive form of currency. I remember reading about a similar case from some ancient Melanesian society. Families would keep them on their land as a sign of wealth, and sometimes exchange them for goods.
    Also there's nothing overly unique about the Piri Reis map, it's an amalgamation of many different maps, including those by Columbus himself. It doesn't show Antartica, but rather a "terra incognita" which was shown on many maps of the time. It's a way of saying "we have no idea wtf lies here", which if course would be the case back then.

    I defintely agree with the fact that there are SOOOO many things that us humans do not understand and that there are some discoveries which make us question our current knowledge of the human race's evolution. Simply unfathomable.

    The myth busters made Baghdad batteries before on their show.They actually worked,but really slowly.They considered that the batteries were used to extinguish pain,the same thing as acupuncture,just with electricity.

    But a paleontologist in Moscow questioned the authenticity of the reported discovery.
    "Unfortunately, it's not true. Dinosaurs laid small eggs," said Valentina Nazarova of the Moscow State University's paleontology department, adding that dinosaurs probably never lived in the mountainous North Caucasus.
    "Dinosaurs didn't lay eggs while jumping about like mountain goats," she said.
    "If they want to create a legend for tourists, they should have said the eggs were laid by a mythical Roc bird," she said, referring to a giant bird that features in the Arabian Nights tales.
    "I am sincerely sorry for them, but I also wouldn't want to go against science."

    Incredible. I want to thank the creator for making these videos. Really mind boggling and intriguing. I think that there are so many things we have yet to understand. Why rule anything out? That hammer one is particularly odd. There just cannot be a logical explanation with current knowledge, but it's absolutely fascinating! There's a grain of truth in every myth.

    I was impressed with that early energy source. But some researches shows that these vases probably were used for the conservation of some unknown object; maybe a sacred writing. In other cases they probably used these 'batteries' in a muscle stimulation process. Or maybe they've tried to understand electricity a little...

    Good video. But what's all the strange words? Dissemined --> disseminated? Passionated --> passionnant? slow amounts of electricity-->low amounts of electricity? Overall, a great video. Especially liked the one about the Chinese characters and the imbedded hammer. Really mind blowing.

    Researcher John Cole pointed out that the rock concretion could have been the result of dissolved sediment hardening around the hammer, something which can happen in a relatively short amount of time; Cole also concluded that, judging by its style, the artifact is a 19th century miner's hammer. And that was #1.......

    270 million years ago, the earth was known to be called “Pangaea" ps: sorry if that's not how you spell it. It was also known to be called a “super continent” ୧༼ಠ益ಠ༽୨

      True it was 250 mill years ago though and they where all a big super continent till sea floor spreading and continental drift set them apart want proof South America and Africa fit perfect together

      +TheDramaticLYNX What I would like to know is, if Pangaea was one solid continent then what was on the other side of the planet? Could this be the fabled Atlantis that so many have searched for? As Pangaea spread apart into the continents as we know them, a continent could have existed but would/could have been subducted as the tectonic plates shifted.
