umm Kelly, the reason Brooke is not at the top of the pyramid the week of an acro dance is because the pyramid is based on the performance the week before, not the week of.

OML PEOPLE if you even watched the dam show Brooke did an AMAZING performance last week to! Abby just hates Kelly! Seriously. Search up Abby and Kelly Showdown and you can see Abby getting in her face, Calling her a ding bat than Kelly slaps her and pulls her hair to defend herself.
It’s funny how the doctor didn’t even look at her hips but jumps to say “ok, your taking about some serious problems...” 😂😂😂
Sky He he’s a chiropractor not a doctor there is a difference also him having her bend over and move her hips in a certain direction that is enough to indicate if there is an issue

I feel terrible for Brooke. There was so much pressure on her in this episode, deciding whether she should listen to Abby or the doctor. Not only as a dancer, but also an acrobat, I can feel her pain.
Despite all the drama, she nailed the routine!
SERIOUSLY! Looking back on the seasons, I can't help but feel worried for Brooke's physical health... She really seemed to be placed in situations where she pushed her body past what was healthy, and I hope she doesn't suffer any issues now or as she gets older from doing so.
Ps did Abby's explaination make any sense to you? I feel like maybe it was almost logical, about the bone grinding down/getting caught since she was growing and such, but then she just kinda stopped making sense, from what I know of dance and anatomy... I kinda thought maybe the producers told her to say something that sounded logical, and she just decided to troll them by just making up some gibberish about grinding down your hip bones... Pretty sure grinding is a BAD thing, haha, which she seemed to indicate in the first part of her explaination, but then was just saying something about "gotta stretch it out in turnout etc [that sounds logical]... And grind the bones down"... That doesn't seem logical, or... Yeah...
Just wondering if what Abby said made sense to anyone else who might have a clue on the topic? I very well could be ignorant and just not know what she's trying to explain, she kinda had me at first, but then just... No idea what she was talking about, lol ;)
The chiro didn't actually say what was wrong or give any medical advice like I would expect (though they likely just edited the clip for it to be maximum drama), since doctors usually would say how long you should be out for etc, vs, "you shouldn't compete this weekend"... Like, can she compete on Monday? Haha (I know there's not usually competitions on Mondays, just amused by the lack of clarity *shown* on the doctors advice, it tends to lead me to think there may not have been a specific diagnosis at that time of why Brooke was having pain, but the producers wanted to show it as dramatically as possible... So I wouldn't judge Abby as harshly if she was just tired of the producers trying to stage things to look a certain way, and was just like, "uh, it's fine to dance cause... Ramble ramble ramble" haha... In later seasons, Abby is at least shown as being fairly consistent about following what doctors recommend, it really bugs me that this was shown as it was, even if it was all for show (and by that, I don't mean to imply that Brooke wasn't in pain, I feel fairly certain that she was, likely much more frequently than we as viewers were aware of... I mean, there's already plenty of pain in dance, even when it's done correctly and without injuries... So yeah. It just seems morally crappy to even suggest that a dancer or any athlete, especially a child, should ever be in a position where they have to decide if they should follow doctor's orders or their teacher/coach... That shouldn't be a choice, especially that young, you do what the doctor says, regardless of if there's a competition!
Sorry for the rant... Just really bugs me, and I hope you've never been placed in those situations! My coaches/teachers/instructors would ALWAYS make you follow doctor's orders, even if it meant reblocking something last minute or the group not preforming a stunt we usually would do, but couldn't do down that member or whatnot... They would NEVER let us even consider going against doctor advice! In college, there was one time before Champs, during a teammate's senior year, that she had scans done of an injury and found out she had torn something and doctors told her she should not preform, and she, as an adult, in her early 20's, made the choice to, uh... Not tell our coaches the full extent of her injury, idk if she actually lied, but she made the choice to not share all of the relevant information with them, because she had decided it was worth it to her to be able to participate in the last, final performance, potentially the last one she would ever get to do (just because usually people don't get to continue after that age and graduating college etc, ya gotta focus on "adulting", plus there's fewer teams available after you turn 22 and "age out" (indoor color guard)... I felt conflicted because I became aware of what the situation really was, and she was quite clear that she didn't want any of us to make our coaches aware, and we all knew that she was right, if they knew the true extent of her injury, they almost certainly wouldn't have allowed her to compete, since, in doing so, she significantly increased the damage from the injury, and needed surgery to correct it, and even worse, she (like most people after graduating) didn't have medical insurance to cover the surgery, so she had to be in crazy amounts of pain for... Heck, I'm not even sure how long. I also am not sure if she ever told our coaches, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't read this comment anyways, but it would be kinda awkward if they did and found out reading this... Tried to be as ambiguous as possible... But.... Uh... Yeah.
Anyways, she was a full grown adult, and I honestly can't say if I would have done anything differently... I most likely wouldn't have. Especially since she was fine once she had the surgery... And I've got all sorts of issues that surgery didn't even fix haha.
If we were younger though, I think I woulda had to tell our coaches even if she never forgave me (she's cool and woulda gotten over it, but still)... Plus I think if she was younger, her parents would have known (I actually think at least one of them did know, so I didn't feel like the moral obligation to tell was up to me, so that's good haha), but yeah. It's just... I really hope there's few coaches who would ever even consider pressuring a kid to go against a doctor!
(sorry for the rant, I got a bit carried away, lol)
I mean if Brooke's hurt she shouldn't just go to perform and Abby is never nice like that cos she never said that she was proud of her girls so imo she was nice when she was in season 1 and 8

I'm thinking the producers had that staged somewhat for drama, that and "why isn't she at the top of pyramid?".... Cause that's not how it works, haha, Kelly knows that, I don't feel like those things are stuff she would have *actually* gotten upset about, so looking back on it, I'm guessing producers had them play it up some.

They make the Arco-tricks look sooooo easy! I love this dance though! This is by far the best group dance that I have seen them do out of all the group dances they have done!

I don’t understand, kelly took Brooke to a doctor and than didn’t listen to what he said. Then what was the point of wasting money going to the doctor. I know it was to see what was wrong with her but they didn’t listen on what would make it better.
