Nidri Lefkada, Greece - Νυδρί Λευκάδα, Ελλάδα

Nidri (Nydri) is town on Lefkada island situated 17km southeast of the Lefkada town. The city is ideally located halfway between Vassiliki village and Lefkada town, and ferries depart from here to the neighbouring island of Kefalonia. It's also a top-notch destination for private yachts in the Ionian Sea and the assembly point for the annual Ionian Regatta, the biggest yachting event in the Mediterranean. The sea is pretty calm, which makes Nidri a perfect place to learn to sail. There are numerous eye-catching attractions to see while yachting, such as a beautiful seashore and innumerable islands like Onassis’ private island, Skorpios. The area of Nidri attracts a significant number of tourists from the country and abroad each summer, fascinating them with vast vegetation with olive trees, pines and cypresses, as well as clear blue sea and beautiful sandy beaches. The place offers unique opportunities for outdoor activities, such as swimming in the famous waterfalls of Nidri. The town has a lot of facilities, including taverns and restaurants, to enjoy a tasteful Greek or international meal. For drink, tourists can choose from a wide variety of cafes, music bars, and nightclubs open until early hours during the summertime. There are plenty of shops as well. Accommodation ranges from affordable rooms to luxurious hotels.
