Went to the emergency today. I used this inhaler for the first time, but forgot even after the doctor told me! I am very happy to receive your advice from the UA-cam. It really helped me a lot and everyone will get benefit. Thank you very much sir.😍👍😊

Thank you! My daughter has been taking quick breaths that has caused more flare ups. I was able to show her this and she saw how slowly you did it. This helped!

Thank you. I really prefer the Autohaler. But the medic now has given me Easi-Breathe.

Just completed my first complete 200 dose of this new device, sometimes it gave an indication I had inhaled the drug, sometimes it didn't, sometimes it went off as I lifted it up, sometimes when I was re-fixing the top when it came loose. I really don't know if I actually had the regular dose prescribed. Towards the end I tried storing it upright and this seems to have helped, the following inhalations were all successful. However, will try and get the old one on next prescription.

      Hi
It sounds like you are unsure if you are receiving the correct dose of medication when using this inhaler. To check if you are, we would encourage you to make an appointment with your practice nurse. They will be able to observe you using the device, suggest any changes to your technique, or offer an alternative device.
If you would like any further advice or information please don’t hesitate to get in touch on our free phone number 0808 801 0899

To use the inhaler you did not remove the top cap. Don't you have to?

Do u have to shake it?

    • @CHSScotland
      @CHSScotland  4 роки тому

Thank you for your comment. It is important that you read and follow the instruction leaflet contained within the inhaler packaging before use.
As the medication within the Easi-Breathe inhaler is in a suspension the general advice is to shake the inhaler vigorously before use.

Hi Joan, thanks for getting in touch. If the device stops working you can follow the cleaning instructions supplied from the manufacturer. If the device still fails to work you should ask for a replacement from your prescriber or pharmacist. Thank you.

Same here. So do you spray it or not? Take it in or release it all. So confusing.

    • @CHSScotland

The Easy Breathe Device is made so that the top does not need to come off when taking the medicine on a daily basis.
The device has a flip down cap where the mouth piece is. If you relook at the youtube video at about 4mins 47secs the gentleman in the clip shows you this. He then shows you how to take the required dose.
The cap should only ever come off - by rotating it gently - if the device has not been used for more than two weeks.
If you have any worries about taking your inhaler please see your pharmacist for help.

These things are dangerous in my opinion, if the patient is having a bad enough attack that they cannot inhale deeply enough to activate the inhaler they do not get a dose at all.
The only option is to remove the top completely and pump the canister manually, sound familiar? of course it does that is how inhalers have worked for years.
I would rather waste a dose by pumping manually rather than use these things, i have come in on my grandmother on the verge of passing out because she couldn't get the easibreath to operate.
I removed the top and got her to pump in manually and Voilà she was breathing normally again within minutes.

Thanks for commenting on the video. We would highly advise that the difficulties you are describing that your relative has with using the easi- breathe needs to be discussed with the doctor/healthcare professional.

Mine packed up after 4 days just wouldn’t work. Had to go back to the GP for a repeat prescription. When it did work I felt I wasn’t getting anything out of it. I hate it.
