You are so incredibly down-to-earth, Father Dave. Like Jesus, you speak and offer stories and examples that common man can appreciate and understand. What an incredible gift you are to us - your flock. May God bless and protect you and provide you the strength and energy to persist in your world-changing ministry!
Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever been told happy Ash Wednesday. More than once. I believe people are starting to wake up. Praying. Have a special Lenten journey father Dave.
Had to come back and rewatch this, Fr. Dave. Shared it again this year with even more of my table brothers at our Regular Joe's Men's Prayer Breakfast group (you'll remember, we're the guys who also do the "Holy Smokes" nights - cigars and brewskis - where you and your pipe are always welcome, lol.) Thanks again for this much needed kick in the ASH during Lent reminder.
It is so nice to see so many people coming back to mass! 🕍 Ash Wednesday mass, last night, was a full house, overflowing with the Holy Spirit & God's L♡VE... it was uplifting & it's been a long while since I felt such unity! 🙏🏻 Thank you Lord for our Country, the ☆United States of America☆ where we all live in a democracy and have freedom of Religion! ❤️ 🤍 💙 AMEN
I couldn’t get ashes yesterday as I was traveling from Orlando to Newark, both flights had delays. My intention was good but God must have had other plans for me. He said I needed more oncology training to do my best work. I can still say my prayers where ever I am, in the air, driving and in my home office.
Thanks, father Dave…I love the way you explain things and drill them into our heads…When I was a kid, the Baltimore catechism was drilled into my head. My poor head, too many drills! I was waiting to see if a crowd of people would surround your car, kind of like the sermon on the mount? The sermon in the car!
Fr Dave you never cease to amaze me with your poignant words in the homily. Thank you for this it enables me to question myself regarding my path to our Lord and Savior. I'll continue to recall the four things necessary to be saved that I may one day enter heaven.
So true i work in a care home and death is not just for the sick and elderly even the people or i myself thanking God for life he has given me and my family
Wish you were my Parish Priest. God bless you FrDave from across the miles in Johannesburg South Africa. Watched this video and others, you made, so many times. Now I feel better. Thank you
Father Dave, there are many truths in here that hit me square. I appreciate your candid speaking and real-life examples. Thank you again for keeping the pulse of humanity grounded in spiritual principles. Your approach is open and gentle.
Oh my goodness! I finally got the pop quiz questions on the last round! Haha😂. Anyway, so grateful for you stopping by my device for this message. Often, the day AFTER Ash Wednesday-is when I need inspiration. And you were here. God bless.
We were their last night. Our grandson was very attentive to your football segway. I loved the interactive reinforcement on how to be saved. One of the best Ash Wednesday Homilies of my memory. Thank-you.
Thank you Father Dave! During Covid we would watch your mass from time to time. Today while looking up a how to video, this video was listed as next. So Diana and I watched. Thought it would be cool if you did this everyday for lent. 40 days with Fr Dave. Thanks again. Miss you at St Marys, but know that God has you where you’re needed. Hope you are well.
wow need major half time adjustment in my life... .Thank you for the reminder and opportunity to hear what I needed to hear. God Bless you and your girl Craiglee and Thank you
What a great surprise this was! Made treadmill time fly by. Love that inlet too God bless strengthen you and keep St Martha's + Virtual Team in the Palm of His Hand. God bless u and Cragley
Thanks, Fr, Dave, for always explaining things clearly, using examples from everyday life. Thank you for showing us that God and His truth can be found in everyday life, even in popular culture!
Beautiful inlet very serene enjoy your quiet time and homily prep there received my ashes as well as a piece of the mass host cragley loves the Subaru hehehe god bless!!!!!!
Your words and delivery are incredible! I learn a lot more about my faith and myself after listening to you. Your analogies really bring it home to me. Thank you so very much…please keep it up.
Great Ash Wednesday homily Fr. Dave. We had funky weather here in Minnesota yesterday. I watched our Mass livestream. The parish will give out ashes this weekend. Thanks for the tips on how to monitor and give myself a 'restart' or "adjustment". Cragly looks pretty relaxed in the back seat. Prayers for a Blessed Lent.
I missed Ash Wednesday as I am not feeling well lately but your Subaru is the next best way to celebrate Ash Wednesday!!! Love you Father Dave n your cool 😎 modern ways that are to me a throw back to when the Catholic Church was changing into guitar Masses n banners n new songs etc. But I STILL LOVE the original Latin Mass early in the morning 🌅 n all the pomp n circumstance that accompanies the old fashioned Mass!!!
Hello Father Dave, and thank you so much for celebrating Mass with us!Your homily...well let's just say...as a former High School teacher,I give it an A+++ !!! I just happened upon your videos after becoming very frustrated with my usual which recently started having advertisements pop up during Mass! So annoying! I found your Mass and especially your homily very insightful, inspirational and somewhat entertaining with your several quips interjected which broke up the monotony but also related so well to the gospel, our everyday situations and the present world events. You truly held my attention, speaking to my heart mind and soul! Your very down to earth persona made me think perhaps that Jesus would speak to his apostles and the people in the same manner therefore holding their attention and getting His point across to them...as you also do.God bless you as you continue to deliver God's word in a way that is relatable to many! Love your car episodes with your doggie! ❤ Theresa from Trinidad California
Thanks Father Dave for bringing me back to my faith. Thinking God has a sense of humor because he sent out a "strange" Catholic priest who makes me laugh. So, the door opens and I'm thinking of going to mass because I want to go to communion. The last 3 cars I've had are Subarus👍 Current car is an Outback that has a 3.6R engine. The cars name is Trinity. I have to confess it's not spiritual. Named it after Trinity from The Matrix. 🤣 Also, I love dogs. Our dog Raj has cancer. Sucks, but we're dealing with it. God bless you!
Father Dave, great Homily. My grandparents used to live in Pt Pleasant. I was a kid my grandfather take me to the inlet all the time and watch the boats. I was waiting for you to mention sudden death in overtime:).
Father Dave I really enjoy your videos. When you said do you love your mother in law I was like Oh boy! I have a rough relationship with her to put it mildly. I'm working on it! Thank you for your videos.
Hello Fr Dave thank you for your extra videos about teaching us about Lent and what we can do Bless them Change me. Thank you for the four ways to change us during Lent and serve God. Thank you for the great viewpoint. There is only one God / God is supremely just rewards good and punishes evil / inGod there are three persons Father Son and Holy Spirit / Became Man for us -suffered for us - died for us - rose for us - for us to be saved by God - Fr Dave you are Amazing 🙏🏻🙏🏻
