I actually discovered OnlyOneOf through a clip about their “controversial” choreo during libidO promotions. I fell hard and fast for this group and they are now my ult of ults. I had the privilege of seeing them live in concert in San Francisco and the importance of a Kpop group openly supporting the LGBTQ+ community in that city was not lost on anyone in attendance. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
Found them through a kpop video because it had junji on the thumbnail and i wanted to 'know who the one with the long hair is' and then i watched libido and i was like wow!!! And then i watched the underground idol project mvs and i was hooked!! Like it was legit 1 am and there i was, crying my eyes out over some music videos from a band that i had only just minutes before heard off. I definitely think i was meant to find them because 1. they debuted on my birthday and 2. their message encouraged me so much. It fits perfectly to my own life situation as a queer person from a very religious background. I love them so much and i am so lucky to be a fan
I became a lyOn just 2 weeks after the end of underground idol and I truly fell in love with them They’re one of my ulti groups and I’m so happy to see the fandom growing, they deserve so much more Thank you for opening this channel and I hope you’ll be putting out lots of amazing videos!
This is so well spoken. They are so talented and brave and amazing its stupid. I love them so much, more than words can say. They are my comfort zone. And the fandom is full of talented, respectful, kind people, and I think OOO know that and that's why they love their fandom so much. My life is better because of them, I hope they know how appreciated and loved they are
Yes OOO are underrated… and SO IS YOUR CHANNEL! I can’t believe that, as of now, you have under 100 subscribers and are posting such informative and thoughtful content! Subscribed and lovely video, thank you for creating it! ❤
Yes! They are a very unique Kpop group. I love that they take risks and don’t make music just to fit in. I love that they take “controversial” themes and concepts and artfully create music and performances. Because of the points on this video (and more), they have become my ult group. I wish them all the best!
this video is so well made! thank you so much ❤ i discovered ooo just two months ago but i never felt more in loved and comforted by a bg before. they're really very unique and seriously they're revolutionizing kpop and i can't be more proud of it by standing next to them as a queer ly0n 💞
OOO are one of my absolute favorite groups. I agree with everything you said in this video. As a queer person, they make me feel so seen. There are SO many queer kpop fans around the world and OOO are really the only group directly addressing us in their music and art.
I think what truly sets onlyoneof apart from just an other artist who has talked about lgbtq+ rights or relationships, is that they actually talk about it. Like actually. It's not queerbait because that would imply that they are purposefully using queer implications without actually intending to talk about the topic. BUT onlyoneof do NOT shy away from what they are talking about in their music. they do NOT shy away from the fact that they are talking about being gay men and that they are literally singing about having gay s*x. and they understand exactly what they are doing. they are in no way hiding what they are singing about. lust is something extremely normal. they fully embrace the sexy concept in kpop in an actual mature way. and it's funny to me that they get any backlash because kpop stans love sexy concepts and love gay fan service, but as soon as a group like onlyoneof actually put their all into it, all of the sudden, it's perverse and disgusting. because obviously they have gay fan service, but they actually put a LOT of effort into actually telling the stories of lgbtq+ people AND they make sure to always advocate for the lgbtq+ community. and i genuinely love that. as a quer person who's enjoyed kpop her entire life, i was going to be here regardless. obviously i listen to a lot of gay artists too and consume a lot of gay media, but I really have come to enjoy ooo. i didn't expect them to be so talented and I'm glad it took a lil gay mv to make me stan them. because their discography is amazing and i love how as a group they operate. especially with their goal as a group to deconstruct what it means to be human and an idol. i love that they don't restrict themselves. I love many kpop groups over the years, but the ones who have always stuck out to me were the ones who actually had something to say with their music. again, i love my bubblegum pop songs and my idol songs that are just fun. But the ones that always got my full attention were the ones that had something to say an wanted the world to hear it. and onlyoneof is about to be a new group to enter my list and i'm so glad i found them. they're talented beyond anything i was expecting when someone said they were doing a 'gay concept.'
CRIMINALLY underrated group.
no one is doing it like them 🥰💕
TRULY.
