Luigi is peak masculinity imo
He's humble and in touch with his emotions. He acknowledges his faults but gets the job done when he needs to. He's also very resourceful.
I think he's better than Mario in many ways, he just never actively applies himself.

Luigi didn’t actually die. When Simon crushed Death with the mace Death couldn’t collect Luigi soul so therefore Luigi didn’t die and all Luigi had to do is put his soul back in his body.

There’s also another funny moment from Partners In Time that didn’t appear here; it happens when the Bros. meet up with Kylie Koopa in the Gritzy Desert; while Mario is chatting with Kylie, Luigi has to chase Baby Mario and Baby Luigi-who in turn are being chased by baddies!
Seriously, when Luigi first notices that the Baby Bros. have run off, and he squalls “BABIES!”, I always crack up hysterically! And that’s before the zany chase scene starts up!
