Hey Scooter, thanks for being a great ambassador for Stinson 108 aircraft. Having owned a 10-A and a 108-3, I can attest that the 108 was a 'step up.' The 10-A, however, is a delight to fly. The smoothest controls of any airplane you'll ever fly. Push/pull control tubes with ball bearing ends.
The 108 was a step up for a personal family airplane. It allowed more seating and provided a car-like ride. Everyone who has flown a 10A says the same as you, it was a delight. Strikes me the 10A was a "pilots airplane" while the 108 was a family/business craft. I hope one day to get to fly one. Thanks for the information, I'm always interested in other pilots stories and insights.
