Some people aren't as expressive, but that doesn't mean that they aren't having as much of a good time. However, I agree that it's nice to see people smile during these laps.

You are missing out and thank you gor your humble opinion😊. An Astra owner myself I can say these things handle superbly. Highly tuneable the OPC Astra. Great chasis for modding.

No, he is used to that driving habit. In Aargau, most people sleep on the left lane, while i pass on the right, legally. They are too stupid to recognize where they are on the road, and where proper space for progress is. And a gazillion of horsepower doesn't improve that. I saw him driving and wasn't surprised at all.
To be honest I didn't expect that from this car, I'm not the biggest fan of Opels but this one is a proper machine, really well set up, no problems with overheating. It was going and handling like crazy. In fact it was handling and flying so fast in Misha's hands that the BMW owner got some kind of a syndrome haha

Yes the BMW driver was not very good, but maybe he was just not experienced with driving on the 'ring. People are too easily critical of 'ring driving and 99% of the people who criticise have never driven on there and would be much worse themselves. Also, the amount of hate directed at BMW in general just because of one poor driver shows that people are stupid. The BMW was not the 'slower car' you silly fanboy, Misha (and he is a brilliant driver), only caught him when the BMW was slowing for traffic, and then backed off to let Misha past. Misha in that same BMW would have disappeared into the distance verses the Vauxhall.
Fun fact.. they made 835 cars to celebrate the “then” lap record it set at Nurburgring for front wheel drive hatch.. 8 mins 35.. although they didn’t celebrate the record much as whilst the cars were in production it got beaten (I think by a renault)
Astra OPC was always the underestimated underdog in the Hot hatch medium. I had a 2014 Astra J OPC and after all these years i think it is still one of the prettiest Hot hatches any time arround. Nice Nurnburgring Edition BTW. Seems lots of fun. Nice driven btw.
Sad I couldn't be the first to bring you a MK5 VXR/OPC, but glad you enjoyed it so much! Mine is only 304bhp / 450NM but standalone ECU so flatshift, proper antilag toggleable with a switch etc. Hopefully I can make it there next year!

I used to have one of these cars years ago. The most fun I’ve ever had in a hot hatch. All the drama and noise you’d wish for a 240bhp fwd car of the 2000’s. Great fun and sounded tremendous
In South Africa we love Opels... Delta even got the green light from GM to build a race spec Opel kadett T GSI cams headwork ECU exhaust suspension k&N filter then a kadett with a Calibra 2.0 16v Turbo with 6speed for south africa only
That issue with the breaks is normal by this car it has a emergency brake system. Which pull the pedal to the floor and the abs has its full pressure. I have the same car and it's very bad because it's feels very strange when it kicks in. It doing this when you are on the clutch very early. When you are not on the clutch it dose it way later.
He said its one of the best hot hatches hes ever driven. A car that is about 15 years old. This is the reason there is a new segment of hot hatches aka hyper hatches

Tremendous car truly. I've always liked Opels, but being from the states I just get to observe them from afar. You really showed why this model deserves its namesake.
Nice astra :) For the brakes, i had the same issue with my ZAFIRA A OPC, had to brake hard, then put the foot off, the brake again and could feel the abs, was strange but stays like that 8 years long until sell it, but still in the family :) those engine give good sensations
Only £4000-£10k for a relatively clean example now depending on mileage (although above £4000 they will all be below 80k). Pretty much the best value hot hatch going imo, but I'm biased since I have a whole UA-cam channel about them 😅

One of the main reasons I got one,piper exhaust sounds insane although sound inside the car is nothing like outside.it’s a fun fast cheap to run maintain & mod,missing with most modern cars now

Same for the Vectra, their OPC models looked amazing back then. Hell even the Astra G OPC facelift looks good to this day.

The Astra is a bigger model, same size as opel astra. This corsa is a called a nova if I am correct.
