- Asmongold leads his first ever GDKP raid of Classic WoW in Naxxramas. The rules are very simple, people are allowed to outbid each others with more gold for the loot, at the end of the raid all the gold that has been accumulated will be split between all of the participants equally. Will the metaphorical god finally get his hands on some good loot and actually be PREPARED for Classic The Burning Crusade/Classic TBC?....

Most raids in classic are stacked with worldbuffs nowadays.

@@Muftaay Was just about to comment this. He pretty much only had Flask+Mongoose, and even looking at his armory he doesn't stack crit, even though he has Maladeth and 7% hit.

Has he acknowledged that he kept the gloves for the other classes? Was it possible on Classic to trade on the 2 hour window the binds when picked up items?
I still say Lich King Naxx is my favorite raid. I didn't get to hit it in vanilla, bc came out too soon after I joined the game: so I only hit naxx during lich king - and I loved it. Each fight had it's own mechanics and even trash would wipe the raid if people got stupid. I really really enjoyed it.

I'm the same but in reverse, avid WoW player, zero OSRS experience, and yet I still watch Framed, SirPugger, Link and Rargh, and tons of other OSRS creators. 😅
Edit: Oh yeah, and as people have said above, the TBC pre patch would be a great time to start. Slightly faster leveling, massive number of players leveling in the world, and just an overall vibrant leveling Community that aren't all sitting on their Tier3 mains in SW/Org, because they're all leveling their TBC alts.

Not gonna lie when I started playing wow again a yearish or so ago after a break since the launch of vanilla tbc, I really disliked this man & thought he was embarrassing, but I have come to really appreciate him. Thank you for the constant content & quick uploads to youtube cause fuck twitch.

@@Mitcheeta I mean did you see the kind of people he was playing with, count how many times he called for a dispel on faerlina, and still didn't get one, those are the type of people we call classic andys, the type of guys that prolly do lfr on retail, and then complain that the game is too easy never having made it past 1.4k rating, cleared normal or did a M+ above 8.
And now, they think they're the hottest shit on classic because they and their entire raid get world buffs and consumables, and bring in some cheesy raid comp to clear naxx in record time, when again on retail in a new raid, they would get curbstomped on heroic, because of their lack of awareness,dexterity,quick reaction and understanding more complex mechanics.
Also asmon just invited over some randos from his chat, no way in hell, you're going to clear 6 bosses in Nathria even on HC, let alone on mythic, with that kind of raid group.

I’ve played wow since vanilla, have hit glad in a few different expansions and have nearly cleared mythic CN and can tell you for sure that naxx is around HC level, you can make mistakes on LFR and normal and be fine
@@mrt4693 Hold up. Naxx the same lvl as hc? What are you smoking? Not saying hc is terrible difficult (especially if you compare it to mythic) but saying naxx is about the same difficulty is insanity. Just because Naxx bosses 1 - 3 mechanics are very punishing that does not make it harder than say something like Sire Denathrius, which probably has the combined mechanic of whole naxx on one boss.Of course saying LFR is harder than Naxx is stupid, given that LFR whilst it has more mechanics than Naxx, there is hardly any punishment for failing to do them.

Prwtty much people buying loot in a GDKP are the people buying gold. RMT fuels GDKP, which is why all the items are so high. Gold is approaching retail saturation points

I've trying to find some of those too, I need more gold for TBC, Black Lotus market is shit, got 310 herb can't ever find any, I sometimes just sit in SW and every 15 or so ask about GDKP runs, never get anywhere

Is it worth to start playing classic this late? Thinking about grinding to 60 and then getting gear from raids seem like an impossible mission

@@user-tw3es7gc7u Not necessarily. I mean, Warmane still brings in 5k+ to it's original realm after like 8 years of ICC. Easily 10k could be achieved on classic, they just need to merge realms together
It is worth it, but it is a ridiculously long grind not gonna lie. Also servers will not be as active as they were up till now, but im sure if you stick to the high population ones you won't notice a difference. Just see wow classic as a very long game that you can actually "Complete" unlike retail, and it has an enormous amount of content to offer you. Knock yourself out and enjoy the experience thats my advice :)

@@Roggay47 Yes they do, they also sell gear on most of their realms. The thing is though, they have 3 or 4 decent pop servers, but they lump all their realms together when they tell people their population numbers

@Andrew Stevenson Naxx isn't mythic but without any consumes and world buffs and actually stacked players with gear and good communication it isn't that easy either or at least it will be a long drag to clear.

@@Stahlreck everything in classic is a long drag to kill, that doesnt make it mechanically challenging. Classic raids dont hold a candle against normal raids, much less heroic or even mythic. Comparing this to LFR and assuming its easier is honestly correct, Naxxramas is just a lot less accessible.

I don’t play classic but was thinking about starting. Does every raid have this organised system were people bid for gear drops? Seems kinda annoying. So you don’t get a chance to actually loot any gear for yourself? It’s just all lootmaster and have to bid?
Its normally not paid, you just say what you want to get if it drops and then most likely get it or roll against another who wants it and ones no one has reserved are rolled for too

@@hellothere8812 ofc some guilds got different ways to do it and priority order for raiders etc but most likely you get good gear from raids on classic, atleast the older raids

As an old gamer who played everquest back in 1999 with a dkp guild, i'm somewhat confused with this new "gdkp" thing...
I mean, Gold Dragon Kill Points ?
How does that work ? You get to pay with both Gold and Points ?
No so u basically place your gold on items that dropped in the raid.
The one who pays the most for an item gets it. The money then comes into the pot which is split times 40 for every raidmember
Well, it should be called gbid, not gdkp, does not make any sense.
@@sperimalo8633 The concept is that dkp was replaced by gold and people that didnt bid during the raid would accumulate gold from the pot as they would dkp and be able to use it when they had enough. In practice, gold buying is funding the whole thing. So if you don't want to buy gold, go to a few gdkp naxx runs and don't buy anything and you will have a lot more (dirty) gold than you can farm by yourself.
How ironic is it that he always says classic is too easy but they kill 6/15 bosses

Ok yes, we all understand that it is ironic. However, he rage quit only a few bosses into heroic castle nathria. I have done Naxx and I am 7/10 Mythic castle nathria. If you have done even heroic castle nathria you will agree Naxx is much easier.

Love watching back on this and realizing how much more gold I had than most people. When Naxx dropped in classic I made over 40k just putting PB on the AH bcus I knew how big those consumes were. Plus, all the blotus I farmed paid off in the end and just doing gdkps and upbidding people to make them pay more was always fun. Now i'm just bored in Wrath and have 213k that I don't spend

Honestly I was surprised at the smooth GDKP until:
A: Asmon not allowing someone to bid for transmog reasons when he literally was thinking about it a moment ago + the whole point of a GDKP is you're bidding gold to buy whatever you want, not you're bidding gold to beat the other main specs.
B: I was pretty happy with how it was going, then Asmon legitimately considers ninja looting, he doesn't which is great but the fact that he was actually considering it and not like "Eyyy, should I ninja loot this bois?" is just sad to me.

@@erika7369 I believe its 3 items on mythic difficulty, which is set for 20 people. On previous expansion like cataclysm, without personal loot, it used to be like 5items on 25man raids and 2items on 10man. On heroic, some bosses additionally dropped tokens. So if you see now 2 items on 40man naxx raid, its pretty joke.

You know that he bring these fans together to make them work on the same official channel? instead on letting them working on multiple smaller channel that fight each other for view.
He also let them share all the money generated on UA-cam.
That's how it used to be, these guys now make content in asmonds name and get a big part of the money made by the channel, but not all. They also take down other channels making asmongold content that they already used, not the content they didn't use

stopped playing wow classic because of gdkps. Went in one for aq40 before naxx came out. Cloth gloves off cthun dropped and went for 24k gold. I had farmed my ass of to get 8 k and I was figuring I would be getting a drop that day. After bidding went over 8k (took 3 bids) then while it was going somone mentioned that 10k gold was selling for 280 bucks us..... I know the guy who won the bid as he was currently trying to rank in pvp. This guy was a gold buyer and the gloves went at an equivilent of 675 dollars us. GDKPS are the biggest fuel for bots and gold selling and not good for the game... I hhave also seen DFT go for 44k.... thats over 1000 us
