A Church is registered as an Incorporated Trustee because it is presumed that the main goal of the church is not for profit. Its more or less like an NGO. While a Ltd by guarantee is both it is for the purpose of promoting sports or agriculture etc for the benefit of others but unlike the IT they are allowed to do business and make profit just that the profit is not allowed to be shared among trustees. A church cannot be registered as Ltd by guarantee

I'm sorry I don't practice in kenya so I can't advise you on the procedure for registration in kenya. I practice in Nigeria so I'm only familiar with Nigerian Laws.
