It's a real shame that Romance Watson never received the promotion or publicity he deserved. He could easily have held his place in a roster of fine singers. I stumbled upon this song entirely by accident, and that "by accident" says a lot for the failure of the music industry to promote its talented people.
None of Watson, Gene Stridel or Nancy Wolson were Van McCoy productions. I have to think Van recorded it himself, and he probably also had one of his own artisis record it, as well. All of the 3 known releases aere great in their own right. But, I'd like to hear what Van, himself, did with it (Kendra Spotswood?).
I toured overseas with Romance years ago! I had no clue about his recordings. He certainly was kind and talented.
Christ not heard this in 30 years. Bradford queens hall late 80's What a record. Thanks for the memories and KTF brother
Great track from Stafford, Top Of The World All-nighters.
Yep...bang on...covered as Henry Jerome if memory serves 👍
Romance is totally AWESOME!!!!!

Noah Reese Romance has his place in music actually. He is a gospel legend in his right.
Nice, my kind of groove!!!
Another underground record from the great Van Mc Coy.
