One thing I've never understood. Why is it considered bad if all somebody wants to do is live a meager life, relax and just play games for enjoyment? Where did this idea that you ought to be striving to become rich and famous come from? The point of life is to be happy. If video games provide that for you, why should somebody tell you you're wrong? I think it's pretty annoying for a group of already successful people to look back at those that are unsuccessful and look down on them for not being as successful as you were. Is it okay for Destiny to sit there and judge those addicted to games while he himself is addicted to League? Is it okay for him just cuz he's successful monetarily?
Because its not healthy for people to be addicted to something so intensely such that their whole life revolves around the thing they are addicted in, for this instance its video games. I feel like you have misinterpreted what these video game addicts live like. Like you say if you live a humble life and relax and play games is fine as long as your not addicted as this causes mental and physical health issues (making them unhappy) which is the problem these streamers were talking about. Its ignorant to just call them successful people looking down on unsuccessful people; they are major influencers to these video game addicts and they are discouraging people from trying to get to their position which is incredibly unlikely and, if failed, will leave them unhappy and in a bad position.
healthy enjoyment is usually accompanied by moderation. there are people and teens who flunk classes need to pass or graduate, because they would rather stay up all night to play league or cod, than do their paper. humbly enjoying games is clearly not what is being discussed, but unhealthy neglect of real life priorities because a person is addicted to a game.
Playing games for fun is fine, no one thinks otherwise. The problem is the addiction. The addiction is ruining parts of your life and making it worse. And also he isn't addicted to league. He's doing everything that he needs to do in his life and league isn't taking that away from him. If something you're doing isn't ruining parts of your life, then it isnt an addiction.

Regarding Joe Rogan, I think there is a reason to take issue with the exact thing Amouranth brought up. To act like one hobby is more beneficial than others is pretty silly. He also outright said you can do ju-jitsu and make a career out of it after 3 years, and I think people recognize false reasoning like that. Similar to her argument about it being more easy to be addicted, that's just not true. Anything is easy to become addicted and lose your life down the rabbit hole to, its all about your personality and how your mind works.
But there’s more hoops to jump through to fully enjoy sports like basketball and football. You need a team of other players that are willing to play and a basketball court that’s always accessible to you. Plus you’re gonna get tired much much quicker when you’re playing a sport than playing a video game. Video games themselves are designed to be super addicting to certain people, for every guy that plays a couple of cod matches after work, there’s another guy that carves out 10 hours a day in order to play whatever game he wants, even if they have urgent things to take care of.

I'm really surprised that during the entire conversation about how video games look that no one mentioned the fact that the graphics in both the PS5 and the Xbox releases was extremely affected by UA-cam's rendering of videos. Not only are the games not being played to their full potential because of the engines they are currently being played on but the quality of the graphics also gets affected by UA-cam rendering of the streams content. You won't be able to see how really good it looks until the specific game is being played on the console that it was designed to be played on with a proper set up.

I actually completely agree with train’s logic and see where he’s coming from. Not being a major Trainwrecks viewer, I am starting to come to terms that any time he speaks he will inevitably derail himself by trying to expand upon an off-handed statement. Always getting so close to his initial point, but never quite.
I get what Train says I thought about this for a while. The answer is a blockchain type of streaming website. The streamer would be in charge of their own server. It would be based off donations. Maybe a small fee for every streamer to be a part of the website and its upkeep. There would be general guidelines and a democratic vote to kick or warn a toxic streamer. Maybe eventually it would grow enough to entice sponsors.
UA-cam streaming has a massive audience that is larger than twitch and even that is not enough to entice many big streamers to move over. Twitch is still much better for gaming than youtube. Many big streamers already have exclusivity deals with twitch. For them to move to stream on youtube or your "blockchain website", they will need to uproot from twitch. Your website better offer a much better deal than youtube can, or it's not happening. Basing it on donations is laughable. Microsoft has big coffers, they made mixer, and it still died. Unless you have really big backers, it's not going to be enough. Unless you stay a small platform. But if you stayed small, no one would use it and it would die. Blockchain anything now is just a buzzword and a gimmick. It adds nothing of value. This aside, it doesn't offer anything particularly different from what twitch already has. And it has a bunch of negatives. If it was that easy to make competing platforms, there would be a ton of them competing with twitch and youtube now. It's not a new idea.

I'm really surprised that during the entire conversation about how video games look that no one mentioned the fact that the graphics in both the PS5 and the Xbox releases was extremely affected by UA-cam's rendering of videos. Not only are the games not being played to their full potential because of the engines they are currently being played on but the quality of the graphics also gets affected by UA-cam rendering of the streams content. You won't be able to see how really good it looks until the specific game is being played on the console that it was designed to be played on with a proper set up.
Infinite in some areas looks like an early access steam game. Especially in level areas not illuminated by the sun light.

I get what Train says I thought about this for a while. The answer is a blockchain type of streaming website. The streamer would be in charge of their own server. It would be based off donations. Maybe a small fee for every streamer to be a part of the website and its upkeep. There would be general guidelines and a democratic vote to kick or warn a toxic streamer. Maybe eventually it would grow enough to entice sponsors.
UA-cam streaming has a massive audience that is larger than twitch and even that is not enough to entice many big streamers to move over. Twitch is still much better for gaming than youtube.
Many big streamers already have exclusivity deals with twitch. For them to move to stream on youtube or your "blockchain website", they will need to uproot from twitch. Your website better offer a much better deal than youtube can, or it's not happening.
Basing it on donations is laughable. Microsoft has big coffers, they made mixer, and it still died. Unless you have really big backers, it's not going to be enough. Unless you stay a small platform. But if you stayed small, no one would use it and it would die.
Blockchain anything now is just a buzzword and a gimmick. It adds nothing of value. This aside, it doesn't offer anything particularly different from what twitch already has. And it has a bunch of negatives. If it was that easy to make competing platforms, there would be a ton of them competing with twitch and youtube now. It's not a new idea.
