Here I am about to throw my songs out to any playlist that would take them. Target the playlists I reach out to based on audience to avoid skips, which can be just as impactful as plays. I appreciate the insight!
Hi, good short video explanation. But there are lot more inside the algorithm. It makes also a desk research, that means, it search for significant info around the net regarding you as an artist and your music. For example, facebook, ig, tw, and other channels mentions, tags, etc. And the big question... how to avoid Skips? making shorter songs? it's sad nowdays that you have to make music less than 2:32min to be considered on several curators/playlisters, etc. I remember when Rush makes 2112 and the label said "you make one more record longer than 5min per song and you are out" and then came out 2112 an epic album with the length they wanted. Now it's completly different i know. But skips, how to avoid them if its not making shorter songs. Its hard nowdays. Cheers!
This depends. If you are making significant income from the UA-cam Partner Program and care about monetizing, then I would recommend driving fans from Reels and other social media over to UA-cam to watch your music videos. But if you are still working on building a fanbase, I recommend you put the full music video on Instagram Reels + UA-cam + TikTok (and other social media). When a fan is just discovering you for the first (or second) time, it's important to keep their attention and not drive them somewhere else right away. Time on profile (retention) is an important aspect to social media algorithms and music videos can be a good way to help keep people engaged longer.

Hi, I'm Todd
Interesting watch would be helpful to do a step by step video of how to get more views. I make music and I don’t know how to get the views I want.
