One of the best videos on EDG champs. This video covered their team the most out of all the others I've watched, and really looked into their journey not only highlighting player-wise, but as a team, with tactical and team-building insight. There's a saying that improvement is not linear. People said it was a 'slump' and the 'end' for EDG, but I've always said that 'slump' was them improving. This trophy was a long time coming, but they definitely deserved it this year.
Props to you, bro. This is by far the most thorough analysis of EDG since they entered the international stage. I've seen videos that were sometimes a bit inaccurate, but this one’s the real deal. You even provided evidence of the incremental changes they made, with before-and-after comparisons of their gameplay, showing how they improved and whatnot. I also liked that the video wasn’t just about KK-you highlighted the strengths (and weaknesses) of the other members as well. That said, I wouldn’t mind if you made a video focused solely on KK. Just saying, in case you plan to make one in the future. Afterall, he is the GOAT. Anyway, I agree with you on a lot of points-especially how EDG trusted the roster they had at the start (with Smoggy) and made a few adjustments to address what they lack. Building and maintaining team chemistry is an invaluable asset. To add to your video, I’d like to emphasize the impact of the IGL change as well. As someone who watches the minimap a lot, I think Nobody’s calls had a huge impact, supporting the team’s individual mechanics. Their calls, especially in that last round at Sunset against SEN, were spot on. Smoggy did a great job sealing the deal. It truly shows how much EDG has grown from their losses earlier this year. It's just like that 5-26 never happened. In my opinion, the turning point was their match against PRX. That win boosted their confidence, helping them dominate through the grand finals as the top seed and eventually take it all. At least, that’s my take after watching a few minutes of their translated documentary.
Man you're my favorite Valorant UA-cam analyst as you don't go over rounds, but concepts as a whole. Never even got into Valorant but you're content always makes me feel like a tactical genius (yes I know if I actually tried to play I'd be like a deer in headlights but I can dream). Keep up the awesome work, and I'm excited to see if 100T will recognize your skills!
Love the analysis. Pointed out a lot of major ideas I had when it came with the direction of EDG. As soon as I saw them back in 2022, I thought they had the potential of the former DRX squad; excellent team play and quick executes. I was a bit skeptical swapping out Haodong since to me he was China’s MaKo, but Simon was definitely the missing puzzle piece. Great video
he also left out a major input in that rumor at the time, being that prx used the comps of the teams EDG were going against and mimicking their play-style which is really interesting to know because this might be a game changer for prx going into next season and figuring out their role issues
whats really interesting is that its actually therapeutical and helps alleviate the pain from excessive movement in his arm, definitely a game changer for him because he's had those pains for a while. iirc he was a fencing player
EDG’s Kayo, Sova, Cypher, Omen comp is so strong, it literally has everything you need. Play making, info gathering, flashes, counters, delays, lurk, it’s almost like the dualist position is going to become just a flex spot in general where you go hey man you’re good at the game play whoever you’ll be the most cracked with.
This video really shows how qualified Platoon is for a francshise coaching position. In my 3-4 years of looking at valorant esports content. Platoon is the only one that I believe has the eyes for it. His insights are a quality asset that a top coach should have. The original head coach After said in the post-match interview of the Shanghai Masters that he could not verify the strength of his playing style in CNvct. Therefore, most netizens believed that he was evading responsibility. He was attacked by a lot of public opinion and had to retreat to the background. In addition, Newcomer s1mon was actually recommended by after.
It's unfortunate that he was a part of so much of their team's development and was let go at the final moment, but he definitely deserves credit for a lot of EDG's progress over the years! Hopefully he finds a good role next year.

When everyone doubts you, you get used to it, but you eventually work hard to silence everyone. What a great story. EDG may no longer be strong in the future, but this championship is of great significance
This might sound condensending, but I honestly don't have high or really any expectations for either EDG or China as a region next year. I saw EDG play the best in the finals and played at possibly their peak performances. However I still feel like teams last year such as Heretics/SEN/Lev/G2/FNC/GenG had higher consistency and expect them to have higher peaks in the future. Outside of the final, I felt like Heretics showed the best gameplay overall and feel like many other teams are upgrading this off-season. I doubt this year will really be a turning point, but fear that EDG is going to fall off to even worse positions in the future. Especially with this year being so volatile with agent/map changes, it really evened out the floor for China overall.

Without G2 I do not think EDG would win VCT Champs at all, especially if they came up against LEV like when they did vs FUT. No offense but EDG pre-G2's loss is a completely different beast than when they were beating Team Heretics in the finals, and without that G2 loss I think Team Heretics (prolly LEV is more likely tbh) would of been crowned VCT champs instead of 4 times losers..
