Can the damper pedal being adjusted roughly 5mm above the strings affect the touch weight of the keys? In addition to this what if the damper comes up about 3mm above the strings when only playing the key?
Hello, I hope you don't mind me asking on this video but I couldn't find any other videos related to my question. I am restoring an upright piano and the hammers, although in good condition are a little dirty. I was just wondering if you have any recommendations on how best to clean them to get them looking respectable again? I don't want to adversely affect the tone of the piano! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Peter
