I was waiting for your video. I have one Marco just sent me. They do come fast from Italy to the US. In person the deck is beautiful. A work of art, and the cards feel so nice in your hand. You really do have to study them, a bit like the Paris tarot, to see what is going on. So many choices as well, with the extra cards. I love the deck. Thanks for the video. I'll wait for your side by side.. Carol
Thank you very much Carol, isn't it fabulous?? It really is beautiful in person and really, the side-by-side isn't fair since there's no comparison. BUT, it's awfully nice to have a 2nd chance to show the deck again with more commentary. I hope this video persuades a few people to buy this very special deck. Thank you for your thoughtful response. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity It is difficult to capture the color on camera. The vivid colors and beautiful tones. Even the way the faces are painted. It really is an art lover's deck hands on. Looking forward to the commentary. Thanks!
It really is a real treat! I'll be doing another video on this deck in a day or two. A 2nd chance to look at it and talk more about it. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
Love this version, specially the coins pips. Very interesting. I have the mass market Estensi Tarot made fr9m Giordano Berti for Lo Scarabeo. He chooses to complete the minors and maybe sime major with images of the Schifanoia Palace in Ferrara. Is a beauty piece of art but i will expect pips instead
Yes! You are correct about the pips of that deck. It's a wonderful deck. I bought that deck years ago when I was in pursuit of historic decks. All of the art in that deck is magical! Thank you for watching and commenting on my video. ~ Marilyn
So glad you shared this! It's definitely in my top 5 favorite decks. Maybe the French conflated the Hermit card because, getting it from Italy, the Italians started doing it first? Who knows 😅 Also I love how the Moon card is very Medieval in style, as back then the sizes were not realistically proportioned and whatever was considered most important was depicted as bigger. So the humans there look a bit short compared the other cards (that depict people), which may signify "little humans, big moon because the moon is what's important here". I also love how evocative the pips are, especially the courts.
I'm so happy to hear you're as enthusiastic about this deck as I am! Yes, I rather like how the concept of the sun, moon, and star are presented in those old decks pretty straightforward. They also show the ways the celestial bodies affect humanity, people working at day, or night, through their professions or common activities. Thank you for watching and sharing your insights. ~ Marilyn

@@CaseyMay54 All that is true. I'm very excited to be able to share. ~ Marilyn
It's a beautiful deck, Marylyn. Looks like Marco's version is a completely different experience than the mass market. Thanks for sharing.
It is, but even when all I had was Marco's Gamecrafter version, I was thrilled to have it. As always, thank you for being here. ~ Marilyn
Looks like a nice deck 😀😀
I'm glad you think so! Thank you for watching! ~ Marilyn
Lovely true works of art
