For me, the sad thing is I grew up in the 70's in a very diverse neighborhood. Whites, Blacks, Asians, Mexicans and others. We had our problems, but no one was racist. Occasionally we said things that today would get us cancelled or even fired from a job. But we all took comments directed at us as they came. If you were upset about what was said, you spoke up, discussed, apologized and moved on. I grew up in a town that was 99% white. Never experienced hard racism other than as a child from another kid. and that was in 20 years of living there. We made jokes all the time about race and I never thought more anything of it. I had some good ones lol but yeah. Everyone was super friendly for the most part.

I'm afraid of being dismissed as racist, because I want old-fashioned values back. Anything associated with Christianity is dismissed out-of-hand, or assumed to be racist. Tom puts the truth out there! I was gtowing up in the civil rights era. I was shocked as a young woman thst everybody segregated themselves! We have to come together more- ALL RACES!

Yeah I'm 53 and this song has become my favorite. I haven't listened to rap much since FatBoys, RunDMC, Whodini, etc. Rap got kinda dark for quite a while. This will probably go down as one of the most influential songs of this generation. Its too real to ignore and they simply will not be able to cancel it because everyone will listen to it anyway because it has a slammin beat. Nova is a genius and Tom....Mad respect for standing up for the message.
