Shoebills are actually quite friendly towards people, so you could technically have one and it won’t try to send you to the hospital. I do agree they look really awesome, there is many photos of them that makes them look so menacing and it’s awesome! Although they might be expensive to feed as they are carnivorous. Police might not like them as with the right acoustics their beak snaps sounds like gunshots. Also could you imagine someone breaks into your house and see that dinosaur looking bird staring into their soul, pretty sure they would turn around and run away
Yeah, I believe the biggest issue of having a shoebill as a pet would be your neighbors calling the cops every now and then. And God, or whoever you want, forbid to have a veteran living next door
Petition to get Spite a shoebill. All in favor say yes! I for one condone the choice to get this silly cerberpup a dinosaur. Birds are certainly wild! secretary birds are cool, but ostriches are super mean! I love animals and I love Spite so two things I love in one video is always awesome!
Fun fact: Birds are actually dinosaurs, all of them are. Birds are avian dinosaurs. The non avian dinosaurs are extinct. So yes, regardless of what shape you are eating, dinosaur nuggets.
You know what I just realized? If Mumei is an Owl VTuber, then she’s missing an important owl feature! Rotating her head 180°! Then again, she’s half owl half human, so I guess that feature is off the table.
18:52 that is an illustration of the elephant bird, the kiwi’s closest relative though now extinct. Looks very similar to the Moa which was another massive ratite but based on NZ before they were hunted to extinction. It’s theorized the Moa was also a food source for the Haast’s eagle. Basically calling NZ the land of birds sells it short considering what it used to be like before human intervention.
The only bird that could remotely lift a human is a leopard and they are not birds. They can carry almost 150kg, though, which is over twice their body weight. MFs have carried young rhinos into trees, not babies, *YOUNG* rhinos!
@Zimon_Sombie I already know about them. I should've clarified or been more specific about the birds. It's not every bird. It's just when I watch movies about things that fly amd swoop down and grab people. One thing that makes me just a little bit uncomfortable is how amazing the eyesight of a bird is. They're all the way up there and they can see us in amazing detail but we can barely make out their silhouettes sometimes. It's awesome AND intimidating. I do love birds, though. They're gorgeous animals.
@@TheJerseyDevil13th Meh, there're only 2 birds you have to worry about swooping down on you and they're crows and seagulls. The big ones are scared shìtless of humans, mostly, because they remember us shooting their grandpa with 100's of tiny pellets. Eagles, owls and hawks can cause harm but rarely do, crows and seagulls, on the other hand... They're intentional a**holes! Thank God, we don't live in a fantasy setting where stuff like Rocs exist, or just a few million years ago when Quetzalcoatlus was still alive...
That’s not even the dumbest ecological defeat Australians have faced. When trying to stop invasive rabbits from migrating west, they built a massive fence across the country. Problem was, no one building the fence had any idea those rabbits could very easily burrow under it
Hey Spite, so funny story for you. A friend of mine is only a year old than me(30), and yet she is only 4'6", and she is gonna be a mom in 2 mouths. She is going to have Quintuplets!! She already looks like she swallowed six huge Watermelons and a small calf!! at least the kiwi can't have more than one egg at a time!!
Brazil also has free health care and the only dangerous part, at least when talking about anumals, is up north 😌 As for human danger, just stay away from Rio, São Paulo and most states above these two. In sum, go down south 🤷🏻 And just in case someone else from this hellhole reads this. I live un São Paulo, born and raised, so I can talk smack about my state. The others is just a matter of watching the news or, which is my case, knowing people from each and/or having been there more than a couple times

One of those things where you ask "Yeah, they're a good pet. Are you a good owner?"
I want this as a pet!
Pit bull named Princess: “Finally! A worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!”
I actually had a pitbull named Princess as a pet when I was a kid. She was really chill and just an all around good dog.
Sushi really needs the Buck Beak treatment from Harry Potter to be pet i love it. Lol
Spite: who needs the sky when you can stream from inside?
Chat: she speaks for the people
The Shoebills look like they're 2-3 evolutions from being Chocobos.

Yes
Fun fact the Loftwings from Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword are based on Shoebills
Fun fact:

It makes sense why chicken nuggets come in dino shapes!
Yay… Casual Geographic and Spite
*Birds. The one animal I envy.*
Yes mere mortal envy us your avian overlords
What size? Big? Small?
Reincarnates as a Kiwi😭😭😭
What kind of bird would you like to be if you had to choose?
You know what I just realized? If Mumei is an Owl VTuber, then she’s missing an important owl feature! Rotating her head 180°! Then again, she’s half owl half human, so I guess that feature is off the table.
Isn’t it 270
Shoebills are not only my favorite bird, but my favorite dinosaur. And, yes, they are definitely friend shaped.

The shoebill reminds me of the one from the Classical music anime 'Classicaloid'
That anime got me to like that genre of music
Underworld vs high sky flying
I'm not scared of birds, but I do sometimes have this really stupid irrational fear of being carried off by one. 😅😂

@Zimon_Sombie Thanks for making me feel better. 🤣
@@TheJerseyDevil13th You're welcome, bud. Don't look up California Condors, btw...

Sheesh! I’m not even 5min in and we’re already off to a good start! Never thought I’d see Spite, of all people, wanting a Shoebill Stork. 😅
1:17
It is a dinosaur, just like all other birds
We don't need sunlight where we're going!
Famous last words😭
Well birds ARE dinosaurs soooooo
I can't tell if she noticed what happened to the duck in the final scene. Did she make any comment on it at all?
Australian Healthcare isn't free.
all birds are dinosaurs
There was 2 emu wars. Australia lost both.

@@CuriousGuyOnline Didnt that happen in several countries?
Loving the reaction content Spite
Casual Geographic is such an entertaining watch and that narration tho
Shoebills are the inspiration for Loftwings from Skyward Sword.
So much tasty, potentially fryable food in one video
The only birds I'm cool with are ravens and crows they bring you stuff for food
… should I tell em?
Don't tell Spite about dolphins 😅😂
Little late to the party on that one my friend
@DarkNeroInfinity Wait, has she already watched the video?!
Just started watching and I remember this guy and he's hilarious...
14:40 Those big birds can snatch up small dogs? Spite, you are no longer allowed outside without a harness. Can’t risk you getting yoinked
Well birds are sometimes wild crazy stuff 😂XD
If I see that bird am going the opposite direction
I love birds
Australia might have free healthcare but is also the place you'll most likely NEED a visit to the hospital.
the first bird would make great nuggys
I saw a Cow in the thumbnail but its not in the video 😿
Spite learning about borbs

People have gotten too used to seeing friendly animals in Disney animations… yeah, animals aren’t like that.

Fuego vid❗😂
So, Spite, ever played skyward sword? ; p
Yay birds!
❤😂😂 you're funny
The shoebill Stork just bothers people because it's what many other birds do at a large enough scale to be disturbingly noticeable.
