kagip 2017 sold it 2 years ago and got a RAV4 Hybrid. There was nothing wrong with the Verso but it was a 2L Diesel. I really like the rav4.

@@kagip Its very good, easy to drive and handle and the Toyota safety features all work very well. Got the car for 2 years and I like to drive in sport so my AVG is at 6L/100km. Which is very good in my opinion for a 197hp car.

Are you joking? there have never been any VWs that put fake leather on the dash? Name one, please. I do know that Lexus CT put fake leather all over theirs with fake leather seats too. What do they call it? NuLuxe? What a joke! Carpeting is hopelessly industrial in the Toyotas too. Ok if you don't know how to take care of your possessions. That's fine. True, Toyota reliability has a good history, but lately I've been hearing many bad things, especially with all these recalls.

A rather attractive option , though cramped in the back although reliable and practical enough for an Easy Drive, Long warranty and strong dealing and loads of spacious cubby holes...ok what about the car, now! LMAO :)))))

You didn't mention that the top glove compartment can redirect aircon so you can keep your butties or drink cool.
Seats are beautifully comfortable and with panoramic roof open it's a joy to drive.
Satnav is a waste of time. I use my phone instead.
Hey they should bring the verso back as a 7 seater SUV it would sell like hot cakes and would be easier to live with than the highlander or fortuner
Reliable ? It has the BMW 2.0d engines , very unreliable and massively expensive to maintain and astronomically expensive if the DPF, EGR or Cam chain goes and they do ....do your homework .....good luck

I just don't get Toyota, they used to be so good. I have a 94 Corolla and it's doing great, 200k kilometers and not a single serious problem. I've never even touched the brakes (neither calipers nor discs, they're still from factory), they're like new. Interiors are pretty good too, all around soft plastics and no parasite noises.
Now they just have cheap and ugly shit.
Europeans are so lucky to have a manual option in almost every car as compared to we Americans.

57.7 MPG is absolutely a load of bull, 2.0 TDI does no where to this figure. More like 32-35 MPG

Sadly I find that to be true for many Toyotas these days. All of them good cars, but I would not want to own one. This is not true for Supras or GT86'es of course.

Where do you get that new VWs are terrible on reliability or that their interior quality is questionable? I think you're just making things up to defend your own Toyota biased opinion. Well, you can keep your hard, brittle plastic and tinny doors. (BTW a review on a new RAV4 showed the plastics getting very easily scratched within a few weeks. So there's your durability)
And that interior may be useful, but It looks so cheap. Especially with that super dated looking touch screen and center mounted guages? Those should have disappeared with the first gen Toyota echo/yaris.

Peddles feel weird and light
well maybe because us spec cars don't have to have side repeaters (ie indicators on the side of the car usually on front wings sorry fenders, or in mirrors which you know also as mirrors), repeaters are required in the EU
I remember Toyotas when they rusted, the paint faded and the upholstery cracked, and they handled like shit, but that was in Australia, I know they have improved but the memory somehow lingers? lol
Usually like Rebecca and am interested in the car she is reviewing, but.. I did not come here for the Verso.
Good looking lexui? Look at the ct200h, the hs250h the ES with its misaligned "hourglass" grille, and the new IS is just plain horrendous. It looked good on the GS, but tacked on on every other model.

I hate cars with foldable tables in the back. Most of them fold out in a way, so when you put an arm of the table, it retracts and your beverage or other food item fall to the floor. So stupid and stupid...and did I say stupid!
They are much better than 10 years before, true, but the standards have gone up as well. None of the new cars are actually bad (ok maybe some Protons or something and Jeep Wrangler), but comparatively, say, a Fiesta is a better car than Opel Corsa, but that doesn't mean that Corsa is in any way bad...
Why do Toyotas leave me cold?

This car has the worst interior door handles i have ever touched.
They are tiny and cheap n nasty. Doors are thin and flimsy.
Some plastics look dreadful.
The screen is small and low resolution (I've used it before) and the interface is is slow and sloppy. Just look at that that font.
