I never said anything about other ppl accepting her or understanding her identity (who cares if they do or dont). Which, esp considering how Filipinos in the Bay Area have no prob embracing and legit representing hip hop culture, tells u thats wrong to assume. The Filipinos from the homeland are VERY racist against biracial black Pinoys, they are even racist to their own countrymen who are native/indigenous because they have dark skin. Filipino Americans won't have a problem embracing her, it's the Filipinos from the actual Philippines who are the racist ones.

They do NOT like black guys dating Filipinas, and I remember my dude's mom made her mixed grandkids cry with the way she treated them. Sad. And true she was an immigrant. I am imagining a white grandma, who might secretly be racist, but usually grandkids get a pass, like Obama. Ya gotta be a pretty thru and thru hardcore hater, to dislike your mixed family and openly treat them different. That’s a California thing due to our military culture, the military bases in the Philippines helped foster these relations. San Diego has lots of Filipino and Black folks and plenty of military bases.

This comment section is funny, if anyone has ever travelled to the Phillipines you would know that most Phillipinos have beautiful brown skin, with full noses and lips and very curly hair, many could easily pass as family members to people are considered black. While in parts of Cebu I could’ve easily mistaken some for relatives.

I’m Filipino and Black too and was my mom is Black “Dark skin” Father Filipino and Chinese. Always was told I look more Black..but me as I child I looked more Filipino.. I even had a little flat nose... as I get older I look so much like my mom. With mixed kids you never know.. My daughters dad is full Filipino.. of course you can imagine what she would look like lighter skin wide nose.. big bright Asian eyes with monolids. Curly silky non-kinky hair.
