Idiotic. The only people who thought this was offside were faceless VAR officials (apparently there were THREE teams of VAR spotters working on this game). It's just not good enough. The millisecond the ball left o'hare's foot was NOT the millisecond when the Stockley Park Hawkeye line we haven't seen in public was draw between Wright and the Man U player's foot. The ref and linesmen didn't appear to have any thought this was an offside. The FA look really bad with this clumsy use of technology, and this is a multi million pound disaster for 'plucky' (sic) Coventry City. What a disgrace and poor show by the Sun for being so lazy about this.

This is why the adjudication should be changed from microscopic measurements to something more obvious. Perhaps if the offside criteria was the attackers standing foot in a var enquiry this would allow attackers more reward for their efforts.
The problem is the rules assume that the VAR process is exact and that's the fallacy. The two lines are statistically inseparable within the uncertainty of the measurement process. All it's possible to say is that he might have been off ever so slight more than he might not...

How was it offside? The wrong frame was used and he drew the line through bisakkas foot. The ref thought it was a goal, the lino thought it was a goal. the VARS rushed it and come out with the wrong decision, absolutely robbed.
