It's not a tight fade or a skin fade, but it is a fade. It's a 1 open at the crown and it fades into an open taper at the bottom. It's a very blurry/shadow fade.
I've been cutting my own hair for 8 years and don't go to barber shops anymore, but I would totally check these guys out just for the music and banter and environment! Unfortunately, I live in Northern VA and wish you guys weren't 6 hours away, but your shop seems like my kind of place.
I live in Massachusetts and im a retired barber. Im always impressed with the work that you guys do. I think im going to come by for a haircut at some point. Keep up the great work.
@@oeshkoer i knew that and John Cena comes from West Newbury. I used to cut his brother Matt's hair. He is a cop. I even cut John's hair once. I gave him his first high n tight.
Sam Nee guy doesn’t even grow hair in one spot (no hair follicles) that was previously covered by hair that was laying down. It’s called a high fade because it fades from 0 to .5 near the top. I’d like to see you cut someone’s hair. You can even see the bald spot before the hair is even cut
They cut the crown off if there is a cowlick that's too sprouty it helps the haircut come together rather than a nice cut on top and then the cowlick distracting from it all.
It’s a high fade, and the guy had a scar in his head. The fade is perfectly fine, you sir have no idea what you’re talking about. I have no idea why so many people thumbed this up. Probs just idiots thinking they’re barbers
Beardbrand works with so many great barbers. I’ve seen so many great barbers on this channel. Jarod and James would be two of the people I wouldn’t hesitate to let cut my hair and trim my beard. If I ever find myself close to their shop I will have to stop in and get a haircut.
For everyone talking about the bald spot on the back of the guys head, it was already there. From a gash on the head causing the scar. The hair cut was well done.
I like the way you cut tops for the same reason you mentioned. The texture changes the length anyway which works for hair like mine and his. I don’t like when it’s all perfect at one length because it sits weird for my head shape, texture works well for certain styles
It's not a tight fade or a skin fade, but it is a fade. It's a 1 open at the crown and it fades into an open taper at the bottom. It's a very blurry/shadow fade.
Great video as always.. Loving the vibe of your shop. Question for ya. For a home user, keep a beard tidy and also add detail shape, so, really close to the skin. Which clipper would you recommended to buy? I was looking at Wahl details or Andis T Outline but ideally want an adjustable one with a selection of guards and the ability to fit a T wide blade. . Thanks guys
This dude needed his brows trimmed. I wish he has not declined that service. Guys! Groom the ears, brows and nose, pleeeease! Lol Great job, as always. Love your technique and attention to detail.
Ok so here's more feedback from an anonymous person on the internet, you come across as a really nice guy who needs to be taking less notice of the comment section. Thanks for an entertaining an informative video.
I’m still in school these videos are helpful I’ve never tried the thinning shears on my short cuts but I’ve been practicing a bit of point cutting to soften here and there definitely helps seeing how you all shape the beards since we don’t learn much about it in Cosmo school !
I got out of barber school in july and I've been watching this channel religiously. Also find a good barbershop or salon near you that let's you shadow. I didnt learn shit in school, everything relevant I learned by watching barbers and asking questions.
For everyone in the comments he did say a one all the way up. You can tell the barber notices it might not work cuz he asks if he wants it tapered in the back
I honestly don't think it's a good idea to entertain commenters that are compensating for their own failures by jumping to point out a lack of technique to make themselves feel better. Every barber has a different method and as long as it comes out with the same result, there's no need to defend your actions.
I typically almost always try to go a barber who he himself has a beard. He’s more likely to understand the struggles, goals, pitfalls in growing/maintaining a beard. I know it a a generalization, but I feel as though clean-shaven barbers are not fans of the look and might purposely or even subconsciously sabotage/ruin a perfectly fine beard.
I would rather go to a guy with a beard to get a hair cut and a beard trim. Also I would let this guy cut my hair and beard or the guy that has the chair next to him on the same side. I wish that I was closer to there shop because I would go to these guys.
I live in a country where majority of males have very sparse to no facial hair at all. I haven't encountered a barber who has beard so it's very hard to explain what beard shape I want, and if I do, it doesn't tyrn out the way I wanted it. So i just do the beard trim myself and when i visit the barber, i just ask him to clean up what i did.
I feel as though he has the potential to be an outstanding barber, he just needs to work on his bedside manner. He’s a lil rough with moving the clients head around, and the borderline headlock during the shave. Slow it down and be a lil more conscious of the comfort of the client. 👌🏻
Would appreciate if you'd ask the customer if it's okay if you ran the razor on his cheeks. I hate it when barbers just do it without asking, not everybody likes a beard that looks like a corner table.
It would be fun to see all the barbers on the channel getting their haircuts
Dude in the chair seemed like he couldn't wait to leave.
I’m still waiting for the fade

As a fellow barber I couldn’t help but feel slightly uncomfortable the way my man just dived right in digging into that crown!
Exactly the back was not right, it showed the scar and the fade is sloppy, the rest of the haircut was good though.
That ‘fade’ was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Dude straight up cut his whole crown off and left a bald patch like it was nothing

It was not well done.

He did not blend that pretty well
Bruhhhhhhhh
Very nice job. The transformation was 👏 amazing.
Just because a person has a beard, doesn't mean he knows how to do a good beard trim.
The show is great, with you had a shop here in MA! 👍🏻👍🏻
This guy works too fast like chill tf out. I definitely would not be satisfied if I were his client

The crown choppers 😑😳
I would never let them go that high on me!
This blur could be nominated on 4backandsides in a heart beat. Ooohhweee
This is an undercut not a fade
Not a fade but also not an undercut. You should learn more about hair before making those statements lol
Muzui my bad.... it’s as ugly as an undercut

Is this a fade or just short on the sides and bacm?
that beard came out dope, great haircut either
Pop punk, beers n beards. I love this barbershop!

Sometimes basic questions can come across as rhetorical questions but obviously the guy has a high IQ
With enough experience and talent a barber can cut a beard well. My barber is a woman and I put my beard in her hands without hesitation 👍

What dose sea salt spray do?
It gives grit to the hair so when you style your hair it adds a defined texture look to the hair.
I like it. Bro.
How is that when I use my sea salt spray it gets foamy white lather in my hair it still works but I never see that on the videos?
Mike Ghost do you shake it before use?

Still he butchered the crown...the sides are not the problem...and those barbers in particular do that in every video i ve seen.

@@captaincod2658 it is fine he really is not thinnning at all. The good barbers on the channel and in general, they never run the cllippers that high.
