- Megatron - Chu Ishikawa (Soundtrack from Tetsuo the Iron Man)
Industrial opening tune to one of the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever! The story is about a man who turns into a metal monster after he is hit by a car. Some of the most trippy and unsettling special effects used in cinema - the music adds a lot to the overall atmosphere.
This is the first film I’ve ever watched where every single second was entertaining
"Moshi moshi"
I laughed when I realised that was hello from that very film. It sounds so inappropriately cute.
The movie was insane! Loved every second of it ❤
RIP CHU ISHIKAWA 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
"Our love can destroy this whole fucking world."
*motorized metal dick rides into the sunset*
"Let's turn the world into metal! That would be fun!"
The ending in a nutshell. I forgot crazy cameras and this sick track.
Also giant metal penis.
a movie that might be about the confused emotions of a repressed homosexual... i'm not kidding that's actually an interpretation... look it up.
@@PRESIDENT_LEMON I mean, it makes sense
GWAR: "Here in Metal Metal Land
Nothing ever dies
Except of course our enemies
And they're attracting metal flies
Here in Metal Metal Land
Everything is loud!"
The world is in metal, and it ain't no fun. It's maybe not so obviously gross, but ever so terrible as can be by now.
This movie really opened my mind a lot creatively. One of my favorite films ever
Totally. More people need to see it!
RIP Chu Ishikawa....
He died?!
yeah last december
Well that's sad to learn.
Really tragic...
he was also one of our musical inspirations.
RIP Chu
What was the cause for his death?
One of the best, if not the best, opening credits songs.
this song help me into the industrial music genres
Hmm can't tell if he made badass soundtrack using musical instruments, or an abandoned steel mill
it's this track that got me into industrial. the end scene where it's featured is the best end sequence to any film, ever made.
Exactly. This ending is master class.
Every day I go to garage, this plays in my headphones.
+Animus Silica Nice Nek0gami avatar.
It is, after all, INDUSTRIAL
Animus Silica Hope you don't run over a metal addicted man and then later fuse with him.
OUR LOVE CAN DESTROY THIS WHOLE FUCKING WORLD
i've always loved industrial music for how sensitive it is, and this is it at its most sensitive
2019 - this masterpiece was created in 1989...30 years... What an epic edited..2022 now...33 years, still epic
Wow! This is the most watched vid on my channel so far - thanks everyone, I'm glad you like it!
im glad this film is finally getting SOME recognition. less then a year ago, i could barely find any music on here form the film. now theres tons.
it's strange how i always found similarity's between this and akira, they're both in the cyberpunk, body horror genre, and they are both great influences to japans cyberpunk style.
And this was released the year after Akira
@@jbowDonDiego1380 Same name of the Tetsuo
@@ssss.wappled2418 Tetsuo literally means "Iron Man"
It's just pure coincidence
It’s more than pure coincidence. The AKIRA manga was released before Tetsuo. But Tetsuo was likely thought of in production for a long time. It’s not just random that people brought these ideas to life at the same time. I think of it more on some Carl Jung collective unconscious shit. Or maybe Tetsuo the iron man was slightly inspired by Akira, since the manga did release first.
masterpiece
Masterpiece. So much soul.
anybody know any other industrial artists like this bc i CANNOT get enough of this stuff
Nin's bullet man
Try Ishikawa's non-soundtrack work with his band Der Eisenrost
-Esplendor Geometrico
-Imminent Starvation (renamed to 'Imminent')
-Maschinenzimmer 427
-Einstürzende Neubauten (their early Records)
-Winterkälte
-Sielwolf
The best track from the greatest OST ever.
Thanks for sharing.
00:00 - 00:46 is salvia ' Fuckin terrifying. Amazing
I'm wonder if anyone has noticed this or know anything about this but Superbeast by Rob Zombie has a lot of the same percussive beats and a similar harmonic structure and does anyone know if he is fan of the movie and did sample parts of this song
9 years late, but I think these are common industrial elementals that many bands used starting back in the early 80s (Einsturzende Neubauten, Coil, etc) and by the time Robbie Zombie got his hands on it, it was common place (I think White Zombie had industrial elements in the early 90's too). Although I wouldn't be surprised if Robert is a fan of Tetsuo The Iron Man considering he's a horror buff.
Thank you so much for the upload - I really appreciate it!
This song is as epic as the movie itself!
Unlike some other people, I can partly agree with you. I know you're not saying it's "dubstep", and it clearly is "industrial", I think It's not hard to imagine that a few dubstep producers have been influenced by beats & melodies like this.Try Counterstrike's "Violent" for example!
Sone people call all electronic music (sans hip hop for some reason) “dubstep” in the same way that before Skrillex came along people called all electronic music “Techno”.
I remember being blown away seeing someone refer to “BFG Division” by Mick Gordon as “dubstep”. Can’t be helped though.
2021 here
This movie is my spirit animal.
@crazeeborg
It was a pretty cool, and very avant garde, film. It makes THX-1138 look like Sunday school, lol.(Although, personally, I do think THX is a better movie.) I d/led and watched it back '05, when I was deep into my whole high school, drug-using 'goth; persona, I felt obligated to watch the movie partially because of that, but it was an excellent piece of cinema, in its own, somewhat freaky, way.
Needs a blu ray release already!
Amo esta parte, solo falta recorrer la ciudad interpuesta a la velocidad
Amazing opener
It's about a metal fetish guy who gets hit by a car. He eventually becomes a cyborg monster who seeks revenge on the driver(businessman) and his girlfriend because they dumped his 'dead' body in a forest. The businman and girfriebd become cybermonsters as well because the metal fetish guy transmits the cyber virus to them. Eventually the businessman / cybermonster battles the metal fetish cyber monster then eventually join forces to turn the world into metal..
Yes.
another one i really like is "the sixth tooth" (from tetsuo 2) and "gryphis glaucus" from tokyo fist (by der eisenrost, one of chu ishikawa's groups).
Tetsuo Dance is also good
Who needs overestimated CGI and three-digit special effects, when you have unsettling visuals and an actual plot.
ok m8, I love this movie more than anything, but it barely had a plot.
it does have a plot and a meaning.
Guy who got abused by his father [who would hit him with a metal rod in his head till a piece of it got stuck into his brain and made him develop a special affinity with it] grows a psychological need to bond himself with anything metal. After getting hit by a driver who is too busy fucking his girlfriend and left to die by being dumped on a valley, decides to terrorize him with his metal powers till both are consumed by the metal.@@GabarytCWL
The meaning being, that the author was loathed by his own father and the movie is a big fuck you to the japanese burocratic society
@@jumpingman8160 yeaaahhh this movie is cool as shit
@@jumpingman8160 "the movie is a big fuck you to the japanese burocratic society"
That's a pretty farfetched conclusion
@@nautilus2612 you can read the director's own words on it online
They should totally develop and release a 4th film. Along with the franchises OST on Spotify!
Sweet
@badegg3210 Lol That's exactly why I loved Tetsuo: The Iron Man so much XD It was so different but unique. I really liked the music as well, thanks for posting this.
Talk about an understatement...
00:47 I sleep
00:52 Real Shit
God damn amazing track!
Better than the music today
Ren Noir Suzugamori Then you haven't searched hard enough, there's still great music today
Ren Noir Suzugamori That line is getting so boring.
Check out the soft moon!
I have the original mix of this song uploaded on here. Nice to see others uploading Tetsuo music. =)
thanks for the music.
Ahead of it's Time
I wish the stuff from the 3cd boxset with the actuall music from the film would be reissued. But for some reason they only reissued the remix compilation and that only in Japan.
Only thing I found disappointing in this movie was the lack of a TETSUUUUUOOOOOOO scream.
Critical Supremacy I mean you have the name in the movie and they don't scream it out!? the nerve of these people
KANEDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
TIGER MAFIA TETSUUUUOOOOOOO!!!
Listen this at the gym

"Your future is metal!"
epic!
Get' em!
@GreatestMKfighter yeah, know what you mean. Well, the movie was made in the coin-op generation!
Reminiscences of Solar Lodge by COIL.👍🔥
wow I never knew they existed - thanks!
@TomcatsLitterBox Well that's Japanese/Eastern cinema - so much extreme stuff that you'd never see in Hollywood :D That's why a lot of people like it, it's full of the unexpected.
I hope Tusk and this film get a crossover
2% have no taste in badass soundtrack tunes like this, I think this would be great for a tribute to TF Megatron lol just sayin'.
@badegg3210 also if you like chu ishikawa, BAAL of japan might be worth checking out. especially the track "dead rock enemy" which has a very similar sound to chu ishikawa.
I agree with you. And I agree with you even more than you managed to seek master Sigmund the lad in there.
かっこよ!
Transform and rise up.
Banner pissed off hulk tetsuo pissed off metal mutant weapon of chaos join the family of iron and be amazed with the powers of a god let our love rust this world and many others to come into nothing but space dust LETS GOOO(XXX)you ready ta ride cowbois...(V)
lol, yeah it's the story of my life!
yeah Industrial Music
that's incredible ) I become an industrial fan ))
@dawood88 hehe - from "Akira"? wrong film my friend :D
Although, both Tetsuo's transform in similar ways - strange connection!
@jono103 You're welcome - I'm so glad I uploaded this now, as it seem to have made lots of people happy!
i use to play it at parties
Cyberpunk!
Mind you, "mushroom clouds" or not, there are still some pretty explicit sex-type scenes - especially the part where he's got that giant spinning grinder "cock" between his legs and he screws/disembowels his girlfriend with it. Doesn't leave much to the imagination!
Epic
Megatron and bullet man..fuck yeah
@Username62752 no problem, glad you like :-)
Sounds like something from a fighting game, in my opinion.
brilliant =D
same story :)
So, maybe more than a coincidence, eh? Probably, wouldn't surprise me.
Japanese trent reznor
tront did the theme for the 3rd tetsuo movie
Nico The Iron Man Has A Sound Track Like This
@ninjaspiceattacks that sounds cool, I'll check em out as well - Cheers Ninja!
In that sense, it's autobiographical.
Kanedaaaaa
Any chance you can tell me where you got this? I can only seem to find imports from Japan, and the most reliable one (or at least the only site selling that I know is reliable) is amazon, and the only rating of this on there states that they never received it. But I reaaally want this song :D.
Might be a goatrack today
I still dont get why the all the 90s cd comps only had remixes
@dawood88 aw yea!
Can anybody tell me from which release is this version of Megatron and maybe where I can get it
@Nazartan1 You're welcome, no probs :D
You guys realize that this song shares the same name as the leader of the Decepticons!?
Considering the film tetsuo came out five years after transformers first aired, this may not in fact be a coincidence.
Shiniya Tsukamoto has stated his love for animated robots several times, if I remember correctly.
kind of funny considering the fact that the miachel bay films made him look like fucking tetsuo!
@BossHossGT500 I see remix potential. Oh yes.
@Nazartan1 No probs mate, cheers :D
@SovietNinjah no worries mate, cheers! :D
You clearly weren't paying attention. It's pretty obviously a giant mechano-wang.
ironically they are similar looking as well..
@patinadoresUSC09
Yep!! That's kinda what I was thinking ;-)
Cette instru :bave:
Captain Obvious to the rescue!!!!
@badegg3210 Yep but tetsuo is "a bit" more weird/insane.
@sargathan Cheers mate :-)
