Since it doesn’t have any sensors yet, there is in fact no control at all. As for the moment the robot executes a program to demonstrate its abilities, performing a walking gait and a rolling locomotion with the same structure. Nevertheless sensors will significantly enhance its abilities in the future.
Very cool motion and it looks good at it too. I wonder how fast it can roll, perhaps with rubber tubing for durability and traction. Presumably it can slow down by reversing its rolling motions to prevent stress on its arms unfurling from a fast roll.
You could increase the circumference of the right circle (front right & back right legs folded) to steer left and like wise on the left legs to steer right

Very cool and amazing. I've looked at a ton of videos of robots lately and your robot is unique for sure. This is certainly a case of an elegant and useful design that started in the natural world. How cool. I fully intend to build a creature very much like this and load it with senors. If you would be so kind as to provide your CAD and code, I will take every opportunity to cite your interesting work and kind assistance. Like polsanok below, I also tried to message, but it was locked.
Is it possible to add a force field of some kind to it? and some laser turret guns?

Connect the end of claws and rubberize the outer peripheral flat structure so noise can be muffled and it behaves more like a tire.
