fun fact about bajiquan's foot stomp is that you don't actually make loud stomp purposely with your feet to make explosive momentum, it's the other way around. you move your body and shift your weight so fast that your foot just makes a loud stomp. if you try to stomp your foot harder to make it louder, you just won't get optimal momentum from swinging your leg higher before stomping. it needs to be compact and explosive without excessive movements, you shift your weight and snap both of your leg and elbow forward together as fast as you can. afterall it's a martial art based mostly on dash-in attacks.

@@richterdennie7874 @PaMuShin an advantage is only an advantage if it is utilized by one party and not the other. Like every person who has grown adept at any discipline, pulling your opponent into your discipline or “playing a game you’re good at” or “playing by your rules” or is the first and most fundamental condition in winning any contest. The same logic applied in with the baji vs tai kwon do fight and also applies to close vs long distance fight. So using this logic you could say “style does not matter, what matters is how it is used and who is using it.” This would be correct in a 1v1 fight, however in the broader perspective of actual martial arts (the art of war) this does not hold as much weight because of simple tactics like a striker repositioning against a grappler with a back step or the employ of additional forces utilizing various positions and ranges where any wrestler or jujitsu master is easily overcome with getting stomped or stabbed while he’s busy on the ground with you. This is why although not absolute, the general rule of “range” or the “I can reach you, but you cannot reach me” will always be considered an advantage. Fist will outreach the elbow and the foot outreach the fist. Or in the case of weapons knifes
This elbow attack is really useful and powerful. Its uses the same principle as how taekwondo punch, using only a small area on the knuckle. Also similar with karate. Actually its a deadly blow, a karate punch can injure a person. Thats only how many pounds of weight. This elbow blow having a very small area and the whole body weight on it can really be fatal.
Totally correct! Elbow strike shouldn’t be done by total part of elbow, cz elbow joint has some sensitive portion, and vessels which will be painful for sure. rather strike with pin point where epicondyle of humerus lies and this portion of bone is very strong, even one man with average practice can break small wood with much less pain, but this strike will be feel like a medium iron hammer punch type of dangerous to opponent! But i think it can be practice alone, with a pin point hard object which i had done without knowing how devastating cz pain i felt was much less! & demostrating to friends(for request) in reading room by strike in the midpoint of partition of big table, big sound occured, big table (8x6 feet) shaken and went behind about 10 inch! Lucky that there were not so much people and the strike wasnt even that hard
Very good video, as all Kung Fu styles there so many details to make a technique very effective , the way to semiclose the hand & bend the wrist is key as align the elbow and the shoulder. This is a whole body strike, very nice. Muay thai has a similar elbow strike called Spear elbow, but works in a slighly large distance. Please keep share so good content !

肘ありルールの格闘技でこれを使ってる人を見てみたい…
自分は格闘技も武術も何もしていないから吉成くんとか使って欲しいな…
Just fantastic....how a simple technique can be so powerful....just fantastic....hah.
