Rooney is one of those players who don’t seem to be aging at all.
Reason being that he already looked like 35 year old when he was seventeen.
Kauppisen Arska 😆
Kauppisen Arska 😂😂😂
Kauppisen Arska 🤣🤣🤣
His head looks like a fishcake
Brilliant
It’s interesting to hear from somebody who actually experienced his management style.
coming from someone who liked him...supposedly....
I think he should just keep his mouth shut.
Hi Jose
@@michaelmccarthy3807 Hello Jack@ss
His argument was self-refuting
A lot of people forget how a Jose treated Bastian Schweinsteiger when he came in after LVG was sacked. Threw him in the reserves plying in the U23s and started only a few cup games. Even Martial had expressed his frustration when he was forced to give his no9 to Zlatan. Not surprised to see no one sympathysing with him on social media after his sacking.
Yuri Ismael exactly. These people seem to have short term memory
What about how pep treated schweinsteiger everyone forgot about that too
Thunder Snake is this about pep or Jose? Is pep losing games week in week out, but blaming players and calling them virus? Lol
Hmm actually yeah he his lol
Even I almost forget Basti played in MU
He also fell out with Ronaldo and casillas at madrid, he doesn’t like players with egos, even though they deserve to have one
He fell out with hazard in chelsea too lol people are acting like pogba was the problem but it wasn't. Jose was
Explain why he loved Ibrahimovic so much then ?
because his ego is even bigger lol?
14,000,200 Views loved him? He left him out completely after his injury and shipped him out asap
probably because ibra actually performed and worked hard, pogba drop a 3/10 performance most games and thinks he's balon dor worthy
The streets will never forget his bicycle kick against city.
Or his hairline
Shinned it... 🤣😂 nah was a banger
Or the fact he is Everton
shinner
@@mohsen8sabahi balding Rooney was prime
Translation: Jose didn’t massage our egos enough
He actually said he wanted to know why he wasnt picked. He wanted to be critiqued so he could go away and improve on it. It's actually Tue opposite to pleasing his ego that he was asking for fool
@@slimjim5392 that's bs, only 11 players are selected and no manager would ever go to rest of 8-10 players to explain them his decision. That's too much expectation, if a player thinks he could have been part of team, the player himself should contact manager and not otherwise.
Agreed 100%
Actually managers do... they manage the squad not the team..thats how u keep players onboard
@@pragyanshsingh6093 sir Alex Ferguson did that
Wayne can't work it out? "Zlatan was scoring goals and I wasn't" :)
Blame Jose, easy!
@@vincentvries9854 jose didnt tell him zlatan was the big signing and started scoring goals i guess..haha i love rooney though
I'm no Mourinho fan but frankly it's a joke how it is acceptable to everyone that players "weren't happy" and wouldn't play for him.
Thank God someone has said it. It is inexcusable that players, particularly ones earning that sort of money, could act in such an unprofessional manner. They have effectively been throwing games and the supporters who pay to watch them should remember their comduct. People saying they were not playing for the Manager, well they should have been playing for Manchester United! These are boys, not men.
Well that's the modern game, were players grow up in a bubble and have absolutely no idea what it's like to be a normal person with a normal job. Too much money in the game has ruined it.
@@adobdebunkology5671 modern game? brian clough and leeds springs to mind
Same thing happened at chelsea, madrid and currently going on at spurs, he poisons dressing rooms
@@elvisleeboy it’s not throwing away games purposely. It’s psychology. People who like their managers fight for them and give 110% . They go above and beyond for them. The people who don’t just do what they can like giving 90%. Its psychology
Would have Rooney now over that lump lukaku
For me he is the most overrated signing of the PL
@hahasucker555 Lukuka will score dozens of goals when he moves to Aston Villa.
I've always said Lukaku is overrated!
Would swap him for arnautovic
Colin S just watch now as lukaku bags 25 goals this season. I’ll come back to this
So the players weren't happy with Jose and that means it's perfectly acceptable for them to under-perform for him lol? A lot of people who have basic jobs don't like their boss yet they still do what is required of them, and they're on peanuts compared Man United players! Roy Keane was spot on when he said modern day players are weak human beings.
Roy Keane is also stuck in the past. Motivating humans is a science..not all about money!
Who said it is acceptable?
They perform in 90 minutes. Its a short, tiring, and big pressure momment. Any personal problem can affect their performance and audience exacly can see it. An employee with same pressure do their job but nobody see it. And who said they doing it well.
And it’s not the manager responsibility to motivate the players and not to insult them ?
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 spot on and wells said.
Took a long time, but finally people realized that Jose wasn't the problem. The United players with egos way bigger than their talent are the problem
Exactly
Right man
TRUE TALK BRO
@Fart Squirrel utd getting relegated along wit Assanal
I like Mourinho but alot of the blame still goes to him he had to resign from Real Madrid cuz he feel out with Casillas then eventually Sergio Ramos n Cr7 then also feel out with the Chelsea players in his 2nd spell it can't always be the players fault his man management isn't the best and hopefully his people skills improve
The problem with Jose is that he thinks that the players would give their absolute best on the pitch because that's what he witnessed when he was coaching inter and porto. In inter and porto the players were willing to die on the pitch but that's not the case nowadays.
It's not really his fault that some players don't want to work hard under Jose, for instance Dele Alli or Pogba have to be culprits in it. Dele Alli in particular had the chance to recover himself under Mou and reach the levels of Sneijder of Inter, but then he faded away even worse.
It's no coincidence that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as new manager bags 5 goals in his debut.
Agreed
well said.
Yeah , lets see how long that lasts
James Wayne no
And on his old ground where he once managed. The players often weren't playing for Mourinho.
What Wayne said reinforces my view that ManU was full of Prima Donnas at that time. Prima Donnas, including "has beens", like to be cuddled and praised. Jose just fail to be that kind of manager.
Well said sir.
I love Rooney but he was done long before mourinho, any manager with sense would have gone for Ibra
While his average performance wasn't as good as Ibra's I think most fans would prefer a current form Rooney over Lukaku.
Rooney may not had the technical qualities as other world/top class strikers have, but I always admired how Wayne was such a hard worker on the pitch and he had a great vision and amazing passing abilities that reminded me a lot of Scholes. I would have converted Wayne into centre midfielder no doubt.
@@trichkid1536 Lukaku is so underrated, watch when he comes good that final season at everton was amazing. He is a shell.of his former self right now. Needs to drop some lbs quickly.
@@somallo2180 Rooney has the technical abilities dude... he's a world class striker.
Why are people missing this? He said he knew it was do to his form
rooney answered his own question didnt he ? he knew himself he was under performing and hes an experienced pro so why should mourinho need to mollycuddle him
spot on
That is the most eloquent I’ve ever heard Wayne sound in an interview.. a career in the media beckons for our greatest ever England goal scorer 👍🏻
Easing Rooney out of the team was one of the best things Jose did at united. Rooneys legs were gone, could no longer do it at the top level and deep down Rooney knows that.
Proof that players run clubs in some ways no wonder man united can’t keep a good run going
after watching all or nothing : tottenham , can safely say jose isnt the problem . it might be scripted into some level . but the facts was laid there crystal clear.
Without watching all or nothing: Tottenham, I can safely say Jose wasn't the problem.
Look how Tottenham play now. They just sit back and waiting for counter attack. It won't work for MU, because SAF had done attacking football for 26 years, and it is difficult to change.
@@SuperRphp Spurs currently sit sixth and are below United. Park the bus Jose they call him.
Marinho has proved that the players at Man Utd are total rubbish he one 3 cups 2 in the league yet a player like Wayne Rooney can come on a show and say things about him are a utter disgrace
Shut up
Udayan Koshal truth hurts ma friend
Rooney played under Sir Alex.He knows who is better at man managing.
@thefleece 2 don’t think so fergie says what in the dressing room says in all he was good no doubt then turned into a fat lazy rat
It was so odd, at Chelsea (1st spell) & Inter, the communication between Mourinho and the players was one of his biggest strengths; he was loved unanimously by almost all the players who would’ve taken a bullet for him.
I’m not sure if it was mental fatigue but he appeared to be less approachable and started to turn on his players after his time at Real.
The irony is that he called Wenger “a specialist in failure” when all things considered, his Arsenal teams near the end of his tenure were at least equal to Mourinho’s (in his last Chelsea season/during his time at United).
I think it’s proof that remaining relevant at the top for so long is very very difficult in an ever evolving game. Maybe that’s why he started to appreciate Wenger more when it came to the end of his career.
I think he's a one trick pony and is frustrated at the realisation of that.
@@geoffreynoonan4334 those players could take it though, they had Zanetti hounding them on the pitch asking for their all and mourinho was the same in the dressing room that's why it worked. Terry & Ivanovic were the only ones who could take criticism on the chin and Terry was barely the player he was anymore. Compare that to Inter Who's first 11 could all take it Cesar, Lucio, Samuel, Maicon, Chivu, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Milito, Materazzi, Motta and Stankovic. Every single one of them players would give tooth and nail to win for their team
Lol, not. Even in his time at Utd José's achievments were greater than Wengers in the same time period.
Unforgettable the best 10 of united please bring him home we need his experience
Mourinho’s English was probably too good for Rooney! 🤣
This comes up after Pogba's interview yesterday. Interesting.
Rooney's legs had gone jose didnt need to tell him.
Rooney is under-rated. His problem is he was that good as a teenager that I think people genuinely thought he would become an all time great. He peaked early and had lost his pace and some of his aggression by the time he was past his mid 20's, and he changed his game. But he was a world-class player for a few years and nobody can take away what he achieved.
He is an all time great?
saulgoodsall NO
@Harvey Smith No he’s Not. Shrek was the most over rated England player before Kane. Neither were close to Shearer

Players are soft af.
That's why Man Untd just ate 6 from the COYS
True af

How's spurs getting on now me old pal?
Players should still shoulder some of the responsibility. I'm a Liverpool fan, I love the turmoil engulfing Man Utd, but this situation is bigger than Man Utd because it can, does and will happen to any of us at some point.
Player power shouldn't be as powerful as it is, Iv heard some pundits say "its cheaper to axe the manager than half the squad" thats bullshit, the same players will still be there for the next manager, they could fall out with him too and then what? Ask Sunderland fans for your answer.
Darth Pepe I completely agree. The manager is the manager no matter his attitude. I still backed Jose but I was losing faith and with pogba and Jose going back n forth and him trying to get other players to turn on mourihno it was completely childlike especially his post when mourihno left.
@@hectormorones8733 Agreed
@@hectormorones8733 What about Mourinho's attitude? He brought it all on himself. Constantly slagging players and from the start of the season mocking the club. "Not even worth watching" when on preseason. Yeah maybe he had a point, his team wasn't worth watching.
mobius drummer he was just being tough on the players so they can improve but I agree he could have gone about it another way. I think pogba instead of taking the criticism like the other players did he decided to be that rebel student and throw a tantrum right back. I don’t want any drama in the club and I think no matter how good pogba is if mourihno left he should have also.
@@lukegregg5944 nobody's arguing that none of the fault is Mourinho's, we're arguing that the blame should be distributed to all guilty parties and better solutions should be presented than simply sacking the manager.
Let's say for arguments sake Man Utd hired Sir Alex as a liaison/advisor between manager-board-players, and he brought Jose, Pogba and Woodward in to bash their heads together to reach a compromise, would many United fans be opposed to that? Rather than sacking arguably the most successful active manager in the game?
Just saying...
I respect Wayne Rooney a lot and it's true communication is very important. I feel like Jose M. Will come back from this even better. I wish both parts good luck.
Jose's ego just grew and grew as he had more success and eventually it was his ego which destroyed him. Communication is Day 1 class 1 of the good manager's hand book !!
Stop. He took that team as far as it could go, 2nd in the league, won the Europa. Utd would kill for that now. The players were trash and Rooney was past it at that stage.
Board said no to him buying a CB but were happy to dump £80mil for Maguire
Rooney knew why, he said it himself he wasn't playing at that level
Jose was never the right manager for man.utd. The only time he should have been considered was straight after sir Alex , but even then his philosophy did not fit in with man. Utd,s philosophy on football, and Rashford might never have been given a chance
sreddi83 bottom line is he spent as much as city and yet fell so far behind them
Neutral Observer. It’s easy for guardiola signing for big clubs and win things and Jose has been good with struggling clubs and brought it back, United board didn’t let him have some CB, he will come with something with Tottenham
I don’t like Jose Mourinho but this was personal from Wayne. We all could see Wayne couldn’t start for United anymore with Miki Pogba Mata he didn’t need telling why! Lol

Legend wazza 👊 👊 from the Gambia 🇬🇲 smiling coast of West Africa mamaland 🇬🇲
Having see the JM videos of him coaching Spurs it was clear that he was trying to remedy what had happened at Man U. However, not sure the players were taking on board his ideas as they looked uninterested or didn't understand and ultimately had another trophy less season.
Fact Jose won 3 cups his first season and came second only to a fantastic Man City. What have they one since? It's the players not the manager and the owners not supporting him 100%
To me Rooney is a Man Utd Legend. However, I do remember at some point near the end, it was frustrating to watch him and fans like me wanted his wages off the books and the signature of a top player in CAM because Rooney didn't take on players or do 1-2s to run in or long shots. It was always a safe pass to the wing; no guile. With his passing and vision, people wanted him to emulate Scholes.
In my opinion, he should've rotated with Zlatan. The latter was too old to play every week in the EPL and UCL. Mourinho mismanaged the players. Zlatan got injured and Rooney wanted to leave, so we ended up wasting money on Lukaku who was also overplayed.
From the start Lukaku was at least 5 kg overweight if not 8.
Last years in MU where very weak by Rooney. He lost speed.

I hope United's board has learned their lesson. I always felt selecting Mourinho was a desperate and miscalculated decision.
イアン / ian 飯テロ I wouldn’t say desperate. I think they genuinely thought hecould take the club forward. But it was hugely mistaken and a degree of foresight would’ve allowed them to see that this would’ve happened eventually. It always has with him. It happened at Chelsea when he fell foul of the board and players, he was driven out by the Italian press and everyone involved in football there apart from inter themselves when he was with them, he fell foul of the players and board at Madrid, he fell foul of the players and board at Chelsea AGAIN and the same thing has happened at man united. His attitude has cost him his job more than his actual management.

They were.
'Please the coach'! wtf is this? they were parking in there last third of the pitch for the last 2years daft
It's all about happiness man it's kinda like life really.. Mourinho brought the happiness for a short time but at the end of the day he just had to go the club was going stale and Manchester United don't need that..

I agree, if they don't perform because they don't like the coach or their relationship with the coach deteriorates, they ought to be sacked or transfer listed.
It was refreshing seeing the United players play with freedom
Roon should have played deep behind front three with backs running on. He was a natural midfield player with vision. He never had great vision of what was going on behind him, very few forwards do have this ability. but he had all the other skills. He could have done a lot more if used well in his last 3 years at United as captain, leader and game planner.
its clear from solksjaers early interviews that he is gonna allow player power and egos to dominate his future selections.. he admires the players, and is happy for linguard to take the penalties if he wants as long as nobody is upset about it... the united players are gonna enjoy this for a while- and get results, but only in the short term
Aged really well

True
people complain they are overpaid and spoiled, then also complain that they want to know why they aren't playing. So they also can't show any passion? Bottom line is a manager needs to get the best out of the players.
Wayne Rooney is an absolute premier league legend, from an arsenal fan.
I'd like Wayne to return to utd as a strikers coach he can help our forwards to become even better with his knowledge
tbh 52% of man u board n fans never wanted Mourinho as their manager. they still decided to hire him and despite knowing his methods they wanted him to work their way. everybody wanted him to use young players, play attacking football and win trophies straight away. he played attacking football, used young players and gave them 2-3 trophies in his 1st season but he was still criticised for finishing 6th. So he decides to go back to his methods, n guess what? It worked, they managed to finish 2nd and FA cup final but was still criticised for playing defensive. This season, most of his players weren't with him during pre season. The players he wanted weren't bought. the players who returned after world cup came back with a shirty attitude n stopped playing. The only person who worked hard for man u was mourinho but hez the one who gets sack and blame. that shows how ungrateful man u board nfans are. Everyone's happy now that the players (traitors) who were limping a week ago played attacking football. they threw away points to get manager sacked. And Rooney, who was praising Jose a few weeks ago now questioning his methods. Well done!! ManU hv finally decided to become next Tottenham/ arsenal. Attack attack attack but no trophies.
Very very bitter truth. I don't think the current United (from mgt to the squad to the bench and to the fans as well) has what it takes to get back to the top.

Pep was in my opinion the man for the job back then, but he’s got his people running the lousy neighbors that it made more sense for him to
Go there. I am glad it is over though, watching United play under Mourinho was frustrating and painful, hopefully Ole has a good time as manager and gets to stay, my only worry is his lack of experience and probably knowledge when it comes to signing players.

ZLATAN is still playing , still on 26
The biggest problem in Man United dressing room: Paul Pogba
It's always hard for a manager being compared to sir Alex.
Several interviews during the season of Wayne saying how great Jose was
He is having a laugh isnt he?? He never told me why i wasnt playing. Zlatan was scoring goals and plahing well and i wasnt and i wasnt playing to my usual standard. Answered his own bloody question. Lying
Only worry is Ole subbing in Fellaini
Darkhalls why wouldn't he no jokes aside felleni is a good player and would thrive under s better team

Of course he would sub in fellaini. Man u were 4-1 and Ole will want to see, in the shortest space of time, how the players will play for him. 4-1 up gives him that freedom.
Use your brain.

Crazy to hear Rooney admit he wasnt good enough, wasnt that long ago when Moyes was in charge he was saying the team wasnt good enough and was gonna leave
wayne rooney is the new wayne rooney!
Jose doesn’t bother explaining things to players who are over the hill and beyond improvement. What would he have told Rooney, that he needed to regain his speed from a few years ago?
Jose would've told Rooney he did not want a hard working player. He wanted a giant up top on his own and that he'd rather play Felaini than Rooney.
Exactly, Rooney was all about all action running, work rate and aggression, once his legs had gone he was a shadow of the player he was before - how could he not know that for himself when everyone is watching him struggling around the pitch and going missing in games. He didn't really take care of his body in the same way as other elite players (like ibrahimovic who still had the physicality to replace him) and paid the price of a shortened career at the top level.
It's still in my mind how Jose destroyed Ricardo KAKA :(
Ya mou is getting karma for it

Here after watching the Spurs documentary. Rooney is right, for example Danny Rose didn't really know why he wasn't playing, and was frustrated. Ofc Rose isn't that good anymore, but Jose prob could've made it crystal clear why and tell him to find a new club.
"I knew that Zlatan was one of his big signings" inner monologue..and I knew that Zlatan was on a different level to me.

Players nowadays are too soft and don’t have the respect for a great manager like Jose, they cry because he’s not keeping them onside and whatever. Given the time he needs Jose would win anything
Love ya Rooney 👍
It’s a while now since Mourinho has had success. The headlines for the last few years seem to be about falling out rather than titles.

A bit early for a knighthood. If Beckham doesn’t have one yet, Roony won’t have one anytime soon.
Football Evolution....Maurinho is the only top trainer not trying new methods, either technical or tactical. Most of the top trainer like Guardiola, Zidane, Flich, Tuchel, etc keep on all the time with new stuff to improve their skills as trainers.
