I just learned that here today and... now I couldn't be happier! 😀👍 I've hated these walls for over 10 years, until a few people pointed that out here. I take it all back now! 😀🙏
Thank you for showing this to me amigo! I am actually pretty decent at design and interior design. So let's do this! First thing with your room, get rid of everything you don't use or haven't used in a year and will not miss. The fundamental flaw of where you are is that everything is cobbled together and what I am hearing you say is "take it to the next level" like what Rhett Schull did to his main UA-cam space. If this were me I would replace the couch, replace the desk and possibly redo the storage. The main issue you are running into is you are looking at a wonky space and trying to shop in a store. The result is YOU CAN get a better setup but to be honest with you, it will only be "Ok/Better" at best but really leave you wanting more. You need a custom desk and shelf/book shelf. In true UA-cam fashion I would tell you to partner up with another channel who does carpentry and do a collaboration video on fixing your space. Also, if you are handy with tools you could make it yourself. I do like the idea of multiple guitars on your wall but if I am being totally honest it would be three hangers on the top tier and two in the middle tier, so while it really only gives you one more, visually it will look better. I think the Starcasters on the top with Strat styles below it will visually give you what you are aiming for. I think eventually you will just have to cycle guitars in and out of this room if you have more guitars. Even Ryan does this on 60 Cycle Hum. In your case, less is more, Marie Kondo the hell out of that space and get rid of what you don't need. Getting custom made furniture and minimizing what you have will give you the look you are going for and put you in the right headspace for UA-cam. I would also probably recommend a newer amp like a Katana mini one that takes up less space than the Fender and looks right in said space. If not the Katana a lunchbox sized amp will work especially if you are using digital effects. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for all your suggestions mate! You're totally correct on all counts 😎👌 However, unfortunately.... I got too impatient and have went with the "okay-ish, that'll do" option 😂🙈 I've already got new furniture on the way 😬 I did go for a slightly smaller sofa though 😃👍 Painted the radiator last night and put up some foam wall paper today. Hangers and a couple of more appropriate sized desks (with storage) on the way 😅 I know what you mean about that amp being too big, but functionally it's ideal for me. So will have to keep it. Thank you once again for taking the time and giving your (waaaaay better) suggestions though mate - much appreciated 😃🙏
@stevecassidyguitar I stopped the video and am watching the ending and it's an interesting room. The key will be to declutter the room and get rid of what you don't use or you don't need. So "Less is More," in your case. My idea would have been to measure an L shaped desk, use the electric legs from one of those Ikea tables and put them on each end. I would have finished the top in like a Fender style amp Rolex to continue with the guitar theme. That's just me. I still think a newer and smaller amp that can plug in to the back of your computer will simplify your life and make your space neater. Make a record bowl and put all your bits and bobs in that so they are out of the way on your desk.
@@gringogreen4719 The Amp Tolex is a great Idea! Wish I'd thought of that! 😎👍 Since you said - I've been looking at a used Mustang GT40 - It's smaller/shorter and is compatible with my GTX50 footswitch. Only thing it doesn't have is aline out for going into my interface. But It does have a USB out. Still investigating If I can make that work 👍
@stevecassidyguitar I know that you and I are old school but moving everything onto the computer would free up space and simplify things. Otherwise a smaller, modern amp that plugs into your computer would be the next logical thing. You could also do the "head into a box" thing but most of the channels that do this tend to be Metal ones. I have a Vox VT 30 and with a 10 inch speaker (upgraded to a Jensen MOD) that would be a bit loud and big for that room. I've even gigged with that amp. I also have a Roland JC 120 which is "Overkill" by definition for a UA-cam channel and I have a Blackstar Fly 3 amp with an extension cabinet which is what Johnny uses on the Budget Guitar Channel, sounds ok for what he does too. For what you play either in a computer or a smaller amp would still get you to your tone. I'm just looking for practicality. It's not like you are playing Stoner Rock and need a Orange full stack behind you with a massive pedal board! I mean, even your Live Rig is essentially amp-less. Getting rid of what you don't need or you don't use is going to do you the most favors. Oh by the way, you can still put Tolex over furniture if you want to. That would be something more for you than anyone else. 😉👍✨
Get a string swing I think it's called. Personally I'd get rid of the sofa and point your camera at your desk and sit in the office chair. You can take the arms off. I like that black textured wall. I have the issue of a super low ceiling, because I'm in the basement. I have my camera mounted on the wall just above and to the right of my computer monitor. Remove the sofa, stack amps against that wall, lower the guitar brackets. Create depth with lighting and throwing focus. Regardless, your videos are great.
These are all great suggestions mate - thank you so much for taking the time 😀🙏 Back in the day when I used to write music and record in here (sometimes with other humans!) it was good to be able to sit on the sofa and chill, listen back etc. Even though I don't do that anymore, I'm still kind of holding on to that hope it might happen again one day, thatr's why I've kept the sofa. But the new one is 15cm shorter so that's a huge compromise innit? 😂🙈
I was thinking about something like that yesterday 😃👍 Ideally I'd like something like a green screen curtain, I could hang up over the guitar hangers or something and I could easily put it up or remove it 😃👍
Professional sound studios are rarely square or rectangular, but more often, exactly the shape of the room you have there. This prevents sound bouncing directly back, and all sorts of nasty reflections. I bet there are some serious bedroom musicians outbthere desperate for a room that shape.
I just learned that here today and... now I couldn't be happier! 😀👍 I've hated these walls for over 12 years, until a few people pointed that out here. I take it all back now! 😀🙏
Steve: for the guitars that hang behind the sofa... This is just a mad thought, but have you thought about getting a thin shelf or something and just displaying the guitars horizontally, rather than vertically behind you? That way, they'll be in short (at least one of them will anyway) whether you're on the couch or livestreaming. As I say, just a thought, and you've probably already thought of it and discovered why it wouldn't work.
I have not thought about horizontal hanging. Unfortunately the Hangers are on the way though 🙈 I've had the Hercules ones on the back (black) wall for 12 years too and they're the best I've used so far 😀👍 Thanks for the suggestion though mate - It would certainly look more interesting 😀👍
Don't know how far your budget stretches and if you have the space, but the best thing I ever did was to have a garden shed converted to a music room/studio!
I would love that and have dreamed about this for years!! I liked the idea of a converted old porta cabin 😎👍 But the Garden kinda suffers from the same weird shaped-ness too 😂🙈 Well not quite the same. It's long but narrow. I'll bet yours is awesome though mate - I'd love that 😃🤔
I love seeing like a behind the scenes video m, I feel like I understand the space better now. We just got my step son a corner desk that has power and leds for his gaming PC set up and it was really easy to build. I’m not sure if it would fit your space, but there are definitely loads out there to choose from I’m sure you could find one that fits your needs! Anyway keep up the great work as always Steve
Cheers mate! I spent a good few days looking at PC desks. In the end - I'm sticking with the one I have, but getting another one for behind where I sit with more storage. I seen a few like what you got your step son, they look fantastic, but most wont fit in here 😂👍
Ok... I'm not gonna lie... I did move the pint glass and coffee mug out the way. But that was the extent of my tidying up 😂🙈 I hate it when you see "studio tours" and there's like 4 things on the desk - do people really work like that!? 😂
Decluttering would really help and as you said, some new desks would also help. I was forever trying to find space for stuff then one day just gave to charity/chucked out a whole lot of stuff which was pretty therapeutic actually.
I hear ya mate! I desperately need to declutter. More drawers and storage space will help and is on the way. But yeah I need to get rid of a load of stuff too - books etc 👍 Charity shop is a great shout - cheers! 😃👍
I'd suggest getting everything out of the room, then looking at what you've got to see where a camera (or several) would be best placed to achieve what you want. Once you know that, then youcan base furniture and desk size , type and placement decisions around that intent. With regard to the background, you'd be better off with a chromakey backdrop (aka a greenscreen) so you could have whatever image you like behind you, including guitars if you like, then simply rack your actual guitars instead of having them on the wall; you can get a nine guitar capacity guitar rack for about twenty quid off ebay; these put the most guitars in the smallest space far better than anything else, and going forward, you probably will need to consider ending up with more guitars and where you will accommodate them. Cheapest and best way to do a greenscreen, is go to a dressmaker material shop (Asian ones which have brightly-coloured material for making Sarees are great for this) and buy a few meters of vivid green/blue material (or both), then pin that up nice and taut. That'll only cost you about twenty quid, and if you pin it on a few wooden battens slightly of the wall, it will also act as a sound deadener too. Bear in mind that as with all greenscreens, you will need to light it evenly to get good results, so consider that when choosing its placement and the placement of things near to it which might cast shadows onto it. As far as desk space/work surfaces go, you'd be better off making your own utilising a simple frame attached to the wall with brackets, topped with sheets of wood and sitting on some suporting legs made from a lengths of 2x4 wood screwed to the floor with brackets. This is what I did in my studio to have enough room for several keyboards, mixers etc, which is great because mine is exactly the shape, depth, size and angle necessary to use space to best advantage, which is way better than searching to find stuff ready made which fits, which one is unlikely to find anyway. Anybody who has enough ability to refinish a guitar, is more than capable of making some simple work surfaces. One last thing: Unless you are planning to have guests for interviews or some such, there really is no need for a sofa, a decent big chair will do just as well and take up far more space. Consider getting some shelves or racking up high to get things out of the way too.
All fantastic smart suggestions mate - Thank you so much for taking the time. 😀🙏 You're spot on, on all counts. Unfortunately I'm too impatient for all of that. My stepdad is a retired Joiner, who would gladly help, but I couldn't wait 🙈 The Guitars on the wall definitely works best for me as the floor space is precious too, I'm already in trouble for having 6 Guitars in the living room 😂🙈 Thank you for the green screen suggestions too, I just started thinking about that yesterday and didn't have a clue where to start. Ideally It would be great if it was some kind of sheet or material I could easily hook on to the Guitar hangers and take off when not in use. Certainly food for thought - Cheers! 😀👍
@stevecassidyguitar The dress shop material greenscreen suggestion is not just me trying to do things on the cheap, although saving money is always good. I'm an Adobe Authorised Instructor who, in a former working life,, used to teach special effects to people working in the movie industry - and (gratuitous famous movie director name drop here) that included James Cameron amongst others - so I do know stuff and that it works just as well as 'proper' greenscreen you'd pay through the nose for. And it can of course simply be rolled up and put away in a drawer when not in use, or carted about and set up with a few drawing pins in a matter of seconds if you want to greenscreen on location somewhere. Just make sure you have enough drawing pins or bulldog clips to get it taut with no creases and that it has even light on it and it will work fine. Anyway, good luck with the remodel. Have fun with it; that's what really matters.
I have had the same organized space problem. You have to "reverse engineer" the room, thinking like a movie director. That means the shot is more important than anything else and dictates where everything goes (as far as possible). As I shoot both regular video and stop motion, controlling the lighting is huge. Green screen done right in stop motion means a believable background, as the image remains clear and stable. Frankly, a green screen behind you with a guitar at hand might be all you need to change the look without changing the room. The false backgrounds could lead you to a practical set up you won't have to change again. Fun video, Steve!
Cheers mate! 😃🙏 I was just thinking about a green screen last night 😃 I think ideally, a green screen type sheet or curtain would be great, then I could easily attach and detach from the wall hangers (hangers I could add hooks on to 🤔) I'll certainly look into it more - but like you say... It should have been reverse engineered. I'm probably too late already 😜👍
I'm gonna have to do a vid like this. My office is small weird shaped and completely full of guitars. I built all my office furniture and guitar racks myself out of other furniture and reclaimed woods, its the only way to maximize space. 😊 cheers Steve!
I wish I had a Bogfoot to build bespoke furniture and racks for me too 😁👍 Good on ya mate - I wish I had the skills to do that kinda stuff. But I'm totally useless at all DIY stuff 🙈
I have 9 guitars along a wall in my man cave. I got the grey brick effect wall paper for that wall it looks spot on. I’d say just declutter as much as possible and maybe get a led light in there to brighten it up?
Decluttering is definitely desperately desired. Soz - went a bit OTT with the D's there 😂 Your man cave sounds awesome mate! 😎👍 Anyway... Yes! I've already painted the radiator last night, got new wall paper up today (It's still white though 🙈) Sofa was supposed to arrive today but didn't, and have 2 new desks and hangers on the way. Plenty lights here too 😀👍
I think you're right! I did think about this (a lot) and my Stepdad is a retired joiner who could help, but I'm a bit too impatient and couldn't wait 😂🙈 Best of luck with your project mate 😀👍
If I was you, I would put a new and wider desk under the window, remove the old couch, and find one that fits the small wall opposite the window. I would then have guitar hangers in two levels on the whole wall where you have the Starcasters now for a nice side/background. You will also get some more depth in your shot when filming from the window. 🎸🎥
@@Chris_Mckean yeah, if the camera is filming from the corner on the right side of the window, it would capture the back wall and the wall with all the guitars.
That's a very good and sensible idea mate - Thank you! 😀👍 It's a bit like a game of chess this room 🙈 The reason I've not used the window wall for the desk, is that I use a large 42" Monitor above me which would cover up and restrict access to the window. Also on that wall along the bottom, there is a 1' x 1' box that's covering up a load of plumbing pipes, So it would have to be a bespoke made desk 😬 With the Guitar wall, I can't go all the way to the end, because I couldn't hang guitars over the radiator. 🙈 It is definitely worth re-thinking though - I'll maybe try that route, when I re-do it again in another 5 years 😜 I couldn't wait and have already ordered all the new furniture 😂🙈
I did have a look at the KLIPPAN 😀 Ikea is always first on the list 😁👍 But the back rest is a bit too low, and it doesn't look like I could move the back rest to fit stuff behind it and probably couldn't fit my acoustic hard case underneath it. New Sofa arriving today though - Hopefully it does the job 😅🤞 180 is perfect though! 😎👌
i feel a lot better about my rectangle like room now 😄, those measurements are not easy to deal with, those desk heights and side things are crazy what i did thanks to my girlfriend, we got bigger planks of wood from the hardware store to put on top of the two desks that i had (instead of raising the tables), oiled the wood so it looks nice, screwed them onto the tables (on the side with screws and a metal join) and effectively gave me a nice L shaped desk setup, so it widened one desk, and the other one then had the height to match you can then also cut the wood to better fit the dimensions of the room, without having to either change your desk or find a suitable desk that would fit your room measurements if that makes sense, i think that's probably the best way of dealing with those awkward measurements, at least that's how i'd look at doing it
First, you just rock up here, bammin' off about your awesome rectangle room and all your tidy right angles - Then... you come up with great ideas that I would never have thought of! 🧐 😜 Cheers mate! 😂👍 That plank idea is a actually genius - Wish I thought of that before I ordered all that new furniture in a rage last night 🙈
@stevecassidyguitar 😄 happy to help, have to really thank the lady in my life, she really had the brains and DIY skills on this one I look forward to the interestingly shaped new furniture then 🙌
I was very careful not to use the word "studio" in this one 😂🙈 I never seen Rhett's but I'm gonna just thank you and take it as a compliment - Cheers! 😃🙏
I thought your black wall by the desk, with the guitars hanging, looked great! I feel your pain about the radiator - my only space is in the garage with pipes from the tankless water heater going into the wall. Oh, and my refrigerator. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do! Cheers, mate!
Cheers mate thank you! I've had a load of great suggestions here about how to do it all properly with bespoke furniture etc but... I got too impatient 😂 I've painted the radiator now, put up wallpaper (Nightmare 😅), Now Sofa and drawers in today. Desk arrives on Monday then the Hangers will hopefully arrive by the end of next week (Thomann) 😀👍 Not the smartest way to do it - But probably the quickest 😂
False partition walls against existing walls to make square ...... Maybe? 'Gyprock' Sheets ... not TOO expensive I don't think .... All the Best Cheers
Fantastic idea mate thank you! My Step dad is a retired joiner who would gladly help, but I got too impatient 😂 I've painted the radiator now, put up wallpaper (Nightmare 😅), Now Sofa and drawers in today. Desk arrives on Monday then the Hangers will hopefully arrive by the end of next week (Thomann) 😀👍 Not the smartest way to do it - But probably the quickest 😂
This kind of stuff is far from my forte - I'm a useless DIY-er. That might be more entertaining though 😂👍 Hope all goes well with your project mate! 😀👍
Happy New Year mate. Let's not even go to the sordid, seedy histoy of the couch. I blatantly refuse to even go there🤣. Now to the crux of the matter. An easy and inexpensive solution could be shelves. They're available in a plethora of colours and finishes, can be easily cut to adjust for the rather peculiar architectural peculiarities of contemporary Scottish architecture and can of course be attached to walls at the required height (just be careful about water pipes and electrical cables) . They also offer space underneath to store whatever you want (I won't delve into that either). The problem with furniture is that it is static and forces you to adapt your needs to it's design, especially desks that have drawers that ultimately get filled with junk because you can't use them for anything else. Regarding guitars you could think about a method to hang them diagonally. Never tried it myself but it's always better to let someone else do the experimental work before you try it yourself. Back to the architecture. Unless you intend to move to a Hundertwasser developent or into a lighthouse your options are limited though not impossible. Personally I think everything's okay as it is but it's not my think, it's yours.
Happy new year mate and thank you for your suggestions! I have experimented with a few different ideas in theory. But in the end I got too impatient and it's staying mainly as it is with a few furniture tweaks that will fit better. 🙈 I'll revisit and start all over again in another 5 years 😂👍 Thanks again mate 😀🙏
My studio space is a square room, but not as big as yours. It looks bigger in my vidz, and I want to change things up, but I have too much in here. I have a plan to utilise my sofa, but I need to figure out lighting. My room light is at the back of the room, and doesn't light up where I sit to do videos, and the white lights I have don't cover a big enough area. So I fully sympathise with you.
I did think yours looked bigger too! 😃👍 I really wanted a proper comfy sofa in here, but I need the storage space, I've got it rammed with stands and gig bags underneath and more gig backs and random stuff behind too 🙈 Lighting is always a pain to sort out. Your vids always look very well lit to me though 😎👍
@stevecassidyguitar sometimes it's hard to light my face properly, (which some would say is no bad thing, lol), but hopefully a move around would sort it.
@@BudgetGuitarShow I've never noticed it not looking well lit - But It's ourselves that we need to please innit? 😂👍 Soz missed most of the live yesterday - You just started, and Yoshi had ordered surprise Pizza, (which is my favourite flavour) that arrived a few mins in. Watched on catch up later while painting the radiator though 👍
You could get a worktop cut to fit the room angles and make a great work space👍. You could also put all your furniture on pallets to raise the floor level instead of lowering your guitars🤔😉🤓. I'm happy to help.....as always!😇
Great suggestions mate! My step dad is a retired joiner who would have been happy to help with this, But I got too impatient and just got a load of furniture, that should hopefully fit better 🤞 Searching for tone also mentioned raising the couch. If I can't fit my hard case under the new sofa, I'll definitely look into that - Cheers! 🙏
Im not really sure Why if you don't want Mooer Guitars on the wal just buy them, and put them up.🤣 Have you seen Landon Bailey's rising desk that might be a good option can raise it for live streams. Can also build a box to put your sofa on if you never see the floor you could even make it with storage to slide guitars under. It will raise the height up bringing the top closer to the bottom of the guitars
That's actually a really great Idea about the sofa 😀👍 Cheers! A Rising/standing desk was my first thought - So I could be healthier n stuff. But.. after looking into it, I don't think they're a good solution for the amount of gear I have on the desk. PC, Monitor, Speakers, interface, Camera Arms, Midi rack, Midi keyboard... That's too much gear and cabling I reckon to have to move up and down frequently. You'd need like 1 foot at least of flex for every cable. I think the standing desks are a good solution for like people working from home with a more simple set up though, just a laptop or desktop PC etc. But maybe I'm just too lazy 😜
Hi Steve im an ex BBC Studio Manager and enjoy watching your vids , i can see youve already put a lot of thought into your new set up and would agree with the changes you want to make , maybe a camera with a wide angle lens would make the room appear a bit bigger
Wow nice one mate! Cheers 😀🙏 I've got a wide angle lens attachment for the pocket 3 and I just recently picked up a DJI Action4 (to get better gig footage) I know they're not "real" cameras, but they'll do the trick for me. So I could experiment with wider shots in here - good thinking 😀👍 I'm scared of real cameras, as they're expensive and I have an addictive personality I can't afford 🙈 Same reason I won't let myself buy pedals, I'm bad enough with guitars 😂
I share your pain Steve. Maybe you have a mate who is a kitchen fitter / joiner who could build you a bespoke desk at a suitable height to fit the odd wall angles . If not, you could appeal your channel viewers for help. Just an idea - keep the guitars at high level and install a raised floor to lift you up and use the space below to store your excess kit. On the plus side you have a good selection of guitars and the room shape must be an advantage when recording !
Fantastic ideas mate thank you!
Very good summary of the weird shaped room. Maybe get a chippy in who can build you a bespoke shelf/desk etc ... My studio (such that it is) is the box room and about a 3rd of the area you have. I've done a declutter of guitars which meant relocating to another room (a very un-impressed wifey).... I'll say no more one that subject 🤣😉
Ha! I can relate - I've currently got guitars everywhere in the house 😂🙈 I'm guessing a "chippy" is what we call a "joiner" here? 😁👍 I did think about that and my stepdad is a retired joiner, but I'm too impatient and didn't want to wait - painted the radiator and started on the wall paper last night 😁 Various bits of furniture arriving this week - then I'll be able to do the "after" vid 😜👍
Ha! I was just thinking about Green Screen options yesterday. It would be great to have a green curtain/sheet type thing I could easily attach and detach from the Guitar wall hangers - Will certainly have a think about it - Cheers! 😀👍
Thats a cool room sir, wouldnt have the first clue where to start youtubifying it mind. A full wall of guitars sounds classy :) Nice to see behind the curtain, love the ceiling of all things... the angles are ace:) Think the only suggestion i could make is have you though to try racking instead of a desk/table? Can provide a right angle whilst giving room behind to hide stuff, it'd also give a totally uniform serface to use :) (only suggest this as i did this in my room to store guitars/have a work desk and originally a work bench but have aince moved that onto something else). Would be decent for getting lights n things in there too :) Hope that kinda helps :)
Thank ya mate! 😃🙏 Do you mean racking like a bespoke desk? I did think about that - my stepdad is a retired joiner too and could have helped out loads with that 😃👍 But I'm too impatient and didn't want to wait 😂🙈
@ ive used the cheap n cheerfull amazon special stuff made of the thinnedt pot metal youll ever see but it works a treat ;) If i were to do it again id use much heavier stuff thats a bit deeper too ;) If you can get a full on bespoke one made thatd be epic! ;)
You're a brave man Steve, I deliberately never show what a state my office is on camera, LOL!! I promise I'm not copying you but I am also having a re-organisation, have made the tough decision to move my beloved art deco drinks cabinet out and put in a shelving unit on the wall behind me instead, so I can try to put some interesting stuff on the shelves to give the impression of higher 'production values' 😆
Of course you're not copying - It's the new year I think we're all thinking the same things 😂👍 I was happy with this vid looking as bad as possible - that way the bar is set super low for the inevitable "after" vid 😂🙈 You might just need some way to control the daylight coming in too 😉👍 About to hit the 1k though! 💪🥳 A Guitar shelf is essential! 😀👍
Well…the sad news is that there’s a fix for most of the shot issues…but you’ll not like it. A longer lens fixes most of the things you mention. I love my Pocket 3, but here in my studio I suffer the same issue you do…cluttered shots & framing. I have a mostly square room, but because I do so many different types of things, have storage and work spaces along every inch of every wall. It’s maddening trying to get nice shots. Tried using backdrops, but where I live you definitely need ceiling fans, and that wobbles the backdrops. I have to do everything in center of room when it comes to being in front of the camera, and there’s no good solution. Now…I don’t do UA-cam videos any more, so that solved all my problems, but I don’t think that’s what you’re going for 😉. I know you don’t want to be a camera guy…but I think you need a camera with longer lens. If you wanna look into it, lemme know…my camera gear doesn’t get used anymore maybe we could work something out. 🤷♂️🖖
Thanks for the suggestion mate - You're more than likely right about upping the camera game - But I can't afford to get into camera's. Not with my personality, I'll get addicted and it will easily get out of control 😂 But yeah It's the same here, every inch of space is accounted for, that goes for the floor and the walls. Making progress though, Painted the radiator last night and got the wallpaper done today. New Sofa was supposed to arrive today but didn't, also have another couple of desks on the way 🙈
@stevecassidyguitar no worries brother. Let me know if I can help…I’ve got three full camera systems with lenses, and I really only need one. I’m sure a trade could be made. Yeah…so I’m a painter first…and all my walls have drying racks with unfinished paintings on them. It’s maddening trying to get a good looking shot. Add in proper studio lights and c stands and I can’t even walk in here, it’s a game of find a path through the tangled mess. Maybe someday we’ll both make it big and learn what it feels like to work in a proper studio 🤷♂️😁. Good luck 🖖
You're right mate - Complaining about nothing here really - But I had to make it look bad, to set the bar low for the "after" vid to come. Because it's probably not gonna improve all that much 😂 😜
I know it annoys you because you are the perfectionist we love. I know you'll get it all sorted ; you're on a mission! We would love you the same in a mud hut❤
Hi Steve, it seems to me that you're thinking things are a problem which really are not. Even though you want your room to look the best it can it's what you do in that room that counts most. I've never watched one of your posts and thought OMG! those guitars are too high or I'd like to see more instruments. People come to your channel to see you and the way you connect with the audience.
You're totally right mate - thank you once again! 😃🙏 It's just a load of wee things that bother me - I probably spend around 60hrs a week on that wee room and have had it this way since 2012. I painted the radiator last night, and made a start on the wall paper, have a sofa, desks and hangers on the way. This was just the "before" vid, so I can do an "after" once it's done 😃👍
Well you kept that new 2025 'Steve Cassidy DIY' channel quiet on the last vid didn't you? Sneaky!! Interesting to see the rest of the Mothership...I always pictured a door up on the wall with the window! 🤯 Mind blown!! Exciting times! LOVE a bonus vid by the way, you're spoiling us! 🙂Speaking of which, do you think John Cordy watched your 2025 round up and heard you say you were going to watch less YT? I think it might be why he decided to suddenly do a 3+ hour livestream (good effort with the Starcasters question btw - I think he needs convincing tho 😂😂😂)
I. Thought that it is good if the walls are not parallel because of the echoes and reflektions. And tob avoid "standing waves" we say in german... I dont know if you know what that means...
@stevecassidyguitar to avoid standing waves you just need bits of furniture like desks and shelves at different levels and heights to sort of break up sound waves in a room. I think that's right - my partner knows all about this sound engineering stuff and that's what he's said to me, also he keeps moaning at me to get some acoustic treatment in my office but I don't want to cover up my lovely art deco wallpaper that Andy Mac told me looks like his nan's kitchen 🤣
Soz mate - thanks for watching😂 Had to set the bar low in this one for the inevitable "After" Vid to follow. I've been busy already, but It's not changed that much 🙈
And that is how I ended building a shoe rack and coat hanger. For that month I got into building bits… 😅 just do it Steve. Radiators are a bane to my existence too
If you wouldn't have mentioned your pizza sliced room I would have never noticed, personally I quite like how it looks, but I get you have to live in there, unfortunately I don't have any helpful offerings. When looking at the hanging guitars they don't look straight in this video but from usual videos it's not noticeable, but I guess that's the angle of the wall and yeah the radiator needs to be painted.
Great eye mate! You're right - They're not all straight - That's because I have the cheap hangers on that wall with the hooks that are too wide. Hercules on the way. I have 3 Hercules hangers on the back (black) wall and they've served me very well 😀👍
Bloody hell Steve!! I'm first (l won't make it a habit!!). Never wdve known the room was on the piss if you didn't point it out! Now l know!! Cd you get a length of wood to make two racks (with the Hercules grabbers) for the guitars? Then you wont have to find beams.
Thank ya for being punctual 😂👍 Just threw this extra one out without warning 😃 Re the Beams - you're gonna shout at me but... The current hangers weren't into the beams 😬 Just used plasterboard screws and they have been absolutely solid for 12 years. The 3 guitars on the back black wall are Hercules hangers, have also been up for 12 years and just with plasterboard screws 🤯 I've probably been very lucky, and I'll probably regret it, but I'm just gonna put the new hangers up the same way 😬🙈 If it all falls down - you can laugh and say I told ya so! And I promise I won't complain 😜
Steve started this entire project because he moved his mousepad by half an inch. Before he knew it, he decided to redesign his entire space! We all know that’s the truth to the story unfolding into this entire project! 🤣🤣🤣
Ha! That's probably not too far from the truth 😂👍 Spending around 60hrs a wee in here for 12 years, something like that could easily be the last straw! 😂👍
I can give you an address where you can store your unused guitars for FREE. It's in the USA, but I know that the guitars will be given love and attention. 🤣 I think I need a UA-cam Feng shui expert to help me with my guitar studio! From my time in Europe, I noticed that all the history equated to a lot of goofy shaped buildings, rooms and roads.
Thanks mate - please do send that address on - Sounds like an ideal solution! 😂👌 This room I'm in is part of an extension on the rest of this old Victorian house. This room used to be like a laundry room or something apparently. Which still doesn't explain why the walls are wonky 😂🤷♂️
Ha! Cheers mate 😂👍 But, I definitely do need as many as possible on the wall - It's a space issue first, display 2nd 😜 I'm already in trouble for having 6 guitars in the living room 😂🙈
I don’t know if I can stay subscribed to a UA-camr who makes videos inside a rhombus. The lack of 90 degree angles must serve an ominous purpose. I am the king of clutter I have no useful advice for you.
😂 I'll totally understand if you have to go mate - Thank you for the great times 😀🙏 This room is part of an extension, possible built by some drunk ancient Egyptians 🤷♂️
You realise, of course, that none of us have unsubscribed your channel because of furnishing. Not one. Your personality and skill CAN carry this thing, I have no idea why you think this is quite so important. I mean, if Dave Simpson can have 139K subscribers filming in his house, you can be ok too. Calm it down a tad fella eh? 😊
I know you're right mate - thank ya for the words of encouragement as always sir 😀🙏 It's about work flow here too though, and procrastination. I always manage to find distractions like this to keep me from editing 😂🙈
Cheers mate! Just got to it - Great suggestions from you both - Thank ya. If I start from scratch again in another 5 years I'll go that route and rip out the floor and the old pipes etc too. But I got too impatient this time for proper planning 🙈
having non parallel walls can be a good thing for an audio recording spaces, so there's that
I just learned that here today and... now I couldn't be happier! 😀👍
I've hated these walls for over 10 years, until a few people pointed that out here.
You're totally correct on all counts 😎👌
However, unfortunately.... I got too impatient and have went with the "okay-ish, that'll do" option 😂🙈
I've already got new furniture on the way 😬
I did go for a slightly smaller sofa though 😃👍
Painted the radiator last night and put up some foam wall paper today.
Hangers and a couple of more appropriate sized desks (with storage) on the way 😅
I know what you mean about that amp being too big, but functionally it's ideal for me. So will have to keep it.
Thank you once again for taking the time and giving your (waaaaay better) suggestions though mate - much appreciated 😃🙏
@stevecassidyguitar
I stopped the video and am watching the ending and it's an interesting room.
Since you said - I've been looking at a used Mustang GT40 - It's smaller/shorter and is compatible with my GTX50 footswitch. Only thing it doesn't have is aline out for going into my interface. But It does have a USB out. Still investigating If I can make that work 👍
@stevecassidyguitar
I know that you and I are old school but moving everything onto the computer would free up space and simplify things.
These are all great suggestions mate - thank you so much for taking the time 😀🙏
Back in the day when I used to write music and record in here (sometimes with other humans!) it was good to be able to sit on the sofa and chill, listen back etc.
Even though I don't do that anymore, I'm still kind of holding on to that hope it might happen again one day, thatr's why I've kept the sofa. But the new one is 15cm shorter so that's a huge compromise innit? 😂🙈
Green / Blue screen the walls behind the sofa and then you can have whatever backdrop you want.
I was thinking about something like that yesterday 😃👍
Ideally I'd like something like a green screen curtain, I could hang up over the guitar hangers or something and I could easily put it up or remove it 😃👍
Professional sound studios are rarely square or rectangular, but more often, exactly the shape of the room you have there.
This prevents sound bouncing directly back, and all sorts of nasty reflections.
I bet there are some serious bedroom musicians outbthere desperate for a room that shape.
I just learned that here today and... now I couldn't be happier! 😀👍
I've hated these walls for over 12 years, until a few people pointed that out here.
Unfortunately the Hangers are on the way though 🙈
I've had the Hercules ones on the back (black) wall for 12 years too and they're the best I've used so far 😀👍
Thanks for the suggestion though mate - It would certainly look more interesting 😀👍
Don't know how far your budget stretches and if you have the space, but the best thing I ever did was to have a garden shed converted to a music room/studio!
I would love that and have dreamed about this for years!!
I liked the idea of a converted old porta cabin 😎👍
But the Garden kinda suffers from the same weird shaped-ness too 😂🙈
Well not quite the same.
I seen a few like what you got your step son, they look fantastic, but most wont fit in here 😂👍
Seeing your desk made me feel a lot better about mine (it looks pretty much the same at the mo :))
Ok... I'm not gonna lie... I did move the pint glass and coffee mug out the way. But that was the extent of my tidying up 😂🙈
I hate it when you see "studio tours" and there's like 4 things on the desk - do people really work like that!?
But yeah I need to get rid of a load of stuff too - books etc 👍
Charity shop is a great shout - cheers!
You're spot on, on all counts. Unfortunately I'm too impatient for all of that. My stepdad is a retired Joiner, who would gladly help, but I couldn't wait 🙈
The Guitars on the wall definitely works best for me as the floor space is precious too, I'm already in trouble for having 6 Guitars in the living room 😂🙈
Thank you for the green screen suggestions too, I just started thinking about that yesterday and didn't have a clue where to start.
@@ChockHolocaust Wow mate! Very cool! I had no idea 😀
Great tip on keeping it tight - Cheers 😀👍
I have had the same organized space problem. You have to "reverse engineer" the room, thinking like a movie director. That means the shot is more important than anything else and dictates where everything goes (as far as possible). As I shoot both regular video and stop motion, controlling the lighting is huge. Green screen done right in stop motion means a believable background, as the image remains clear and stable. Frankly, a green screen behind you with a guitar at hand might be all you need to change the look without changing the room. The false backgrounds could lead you to a practical set up you won't have to change again. Fun video, Steve!
Cheers mate! 😃🙏
I was just thinking about a green screen last night 😃
I think ideally, a green screen type sheet or curtain would be great, then I could easily attach and detach from the wall hangers (hangers I could add hooks on to 🤔)
I'll certainly look into it more - but like you say...
I wish I had a Bogfoot to build bespoke furniture and racks for me too 😁👍
Good on ya mate - I wish I had the skills to do that kinda stuff.
Soz - went a bit OTT with the D's there 😂
Your man cave sounds awesome mate! 😎👍
Anyway... Yes! I've already painted the radiator last night, got new wall paper up today (It's still white though 🙈) Sofa was supposed to arrive today but didn't, and have 2 new desks and hangers on the way. Plenty lights here too 😀👍
I Think you need a carpenter to build bespoke Furniture for the Room. I need to follow own advice.About to make wardrobe into shelves
I think you're right! I did think about this (a lot) and my Stepdad is a retired joiner who could help, but I'm a bit too impatient and couldn't wait 😂🙈
Best of luck with your project mate 😀👍
If I was you, I would put a new and wider desk under the window, remove the old couch, and find one that fits the small wall opposite the window. I would then have guitar hangers in two levels on the whole wall where you have the Starcasters now for a nice side/background. You will also get some more depth in your shot when filming from the window. 🎸🎥
IKEA has a nice KLIPPAN couch that would fit that wall in bright colors, and would fit your image and channel 🤘 it’s 180 cm. wide.
Totally agree, would probably be a better use of space. Camera at the window end would also capture some of the side walls.
@@Chris_Mckean yeah, if the camera is filming from the corner on the right side of the window, it would capture the back wall and the wall with all the guitars.
That's a very good and sensible idea mate - Thank you! 😀👍
It's a bit like a game of chess this room 🙈
The reason I've not used the window wall for the desk, is that I use a large 42" Monitor above me which would cover up and restrict access to the window. Also on that wall along the bottom, there is a 1' x 1' box that's covering up a load of plumbing pipes, So it would have to be a bespoke made desk 😬 With the Guitar wall, I can't go all the way to the end, because I couldn't hang guitars over the radiator. 🙈
It is definitely worth re-thinking though - I'll maybe try that route, when I re-do it again in another 5 years 😜
I couldn't wait and have already ordered all the new furniture 😂🙈
I did have a look at the KLIPPAN 😀 Ikea is always first on the list 😁👍
But the back rest is a bit too low, and it doesn't look like I could move the back rest to fit stuff behind it and probably couldn't fit my acoustic hard case underneath it.
New Sofa arriving today though - Hopefully it does the job 😅🤞
180 is perfect though! 😎👌
i feel a lot better about my rectangle like room now 😄, those measurements are not easy to deal with, those desk heights and side things are crazy
what i did thanks to my girlfriend, we got bigger planks of wood from the hardware store to put on top of the two desks that i had (instead of raising the tables), oiled the wood so it looks nice, screwed them onto the tables (on the side with screws and a metal join) and effectively gave me a nice L shaped desk setup, so it widened one desk, and the other one then had the height to match
you can then also cut the wood to better fit the dimensions of the room, without having to either change your desk or find a suitable desk that would fit your room measurements if that makes sense,
i think that's probably the best way of dealing with those awkward measurements, at least that's how i'd look at doing it
First, you just rock up here, bammin' off about your awesome rectangle room and all your tidy right angles - Then... you come up with great ideas that I would never have thought of! 🧐
😜
Cheers mate! 😂👍
That plank idea is a actually genius - Wish I thought of that before I ordered all that new furniture in a rage last night 🙈
@stevecassidyguitar 😄 happy to help, have to really thank the lady in my life, she really had the brains and DIY skills on this one
I look forward to the interestingly shaped new furniture then 🙌
This was a much better studio video than Rhett Shull's.
I was very careful not to use the word "studio" in this one 😂🙈
I never seen Rhett's but I'm gonna just thank you and take it as a compliment - Cheers! 😃🙏
@stevecassidyguitar Don't watch Rhett's, it's just upsetting. I remember watching the one Music is Win did, I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
@@JojoFryrocks Really!? Now I'm more intrigued 😁
Desk arrives on Monday then the Hangers will hopefully arrive by the end of next week (Thomann) 😀👍
Not the smartest way to do it - But probably the quickest 😂
@stevecassidyguitar I've never hung wallpaper, I've only removed it (probably why I've never hung it!). I can't wait to see the new look! Cheers!
@@TonJager It looks almost identical 😂🙈
False partition walls against existing walls to make square ...... Maybe? 'Gyprock' Sheets ... not TOO expensive I don't think .... All the Best Cheers

Thanks Steve ! I been doing some remodeling too so I'm Excited to see what You do with the place !
This kind of stuff is far from my forte - I'm a useless DIY-er. That might be more entertaining though 😂👍
Hope all goes well with your project mate! 😀👍
It's all to do with quantum. Just turn the room upside down then inside out. Sorted
I wish I knew it was as easy as that! 😂👍
I'll revisit and start all over again in another 5 years 😂👍
Thanks again mate 😀🙏
I feel you on the radiator in the shot Steve haha.
Painted it yesterday - slept well last night 😂👍
My studio space is a square room, but not as big as yours. It looks bigger in my vidz, and I want to change things up, but I have too much in here.
I have a plan to utilise my sofa, but I need to figure out lighting. My room light is at the back of the room, and doesn't light up where I sit to do videos, and the white lights I have don't cover a big enough area.
So I fully sympathise with you.
I did think yours looked bigger too! 😃👍
I really wanted a proper comfy sofa in here, but I need the storage space, I've got it rammed with stands and gig bags underneath and more gig backs and random stuff behind too 🙈
Lighting is always a pain to sort out.
Soz missed most of the live yesterday - You just started, and Yoshi had ordered surprise Pizza, (which is my favourite flavour) that arrived a few mins in.
@stevecassidyguitar I was joking about raising the floor level, but fair play to Searching for Tone on his comment on raising the sofa.😎👍👍👍
I have one wall that has neither a window or a door. It's the bane of my even attempting to do video!
I have 2 walls without a window or a door - Isn't that normal? 🤔
Or am I missing something here?
@stevecassidyguitar This room is on the corner of the house -- windows on two exterior walls, one internal wall has doors for hallway and closet.
@@Markleford Ah I See! You might be the winner mate - That sounds very annoying too - soz 😂🙈
@ Landon’s setup is probably pretty price too think all of the cables run through the mounts for his speakers screens etc
Hi Steve im an ex BBC Studio Manager and enjoy watching your vids , i can see youve already put a lot of thought into your new set up and would agree with the changes you want to make , maybe a camera with a wide angle lens would make the room appear a bit bigger
Wow nice one mate! Cheers 😀🙏
I've got a wide angle lens attachment for the pocket 3 and I just recently picked up a DJI Action4 (to get better gig footage) I know they're not "real" cameras, but they'll do the trick for me. So I could experiment with wider shots in here - good thinking 😀👍
I'm scared of real cameras, as they're expensive and I have an addictive personality I can't afford 🙈 Same reason I won't let myself buy pedals, I'm bad enough with guitars 😂
My Step dad is a retired joiner who would gladly help, but I got too impatient 😂 I've painted the radiator now, put up wallpaper (Nightmare 😅), Now Sofa and drawers in today.

@stevecassidyguitar I look forward to seeing the finished job soon. What about a livestream virtual tour?
Very good summary of the weird shaped room. Maybe get a chippy in who can build you a bespoke shelf/desk etc ... My studio (such that it is) is the box room and about a 3rd of the area you have. I've done a declutter of guitars which meant relocating to another room (a very un-impressed wifey).... I'll say no more one that subject 🤣😉
Ha! I can relate - I've currently got guitars everywhere in the house 😂🙈
I'm guessing a "chippy" is what we call a "joiner" here? 😁👍
I did think about that and my stepdad is a retired joiner, but I'm too impatient and didn't want to wait - painted the radiator and started on the wall paper last night 😁
Various bits of furniture arriving this week - then I'll be able to do the "after" vid 😜👍
@stevecassidyguitar yep a 'chippy' could also be a place in Scotland where you get a 'fish supper' 🤣
@mark_greening_gtr Ha! That was my first thought 😂👍
I'd love a chippy in here!! 😋😋
Steve paint it all green and you can have any photo of your stuff as a backdrop 😂
Ha! I was just thinking about Green Screen options yesterday. It would be great to have a green curtain/sheet type thing I could easily attach and detach from the Guitar wall hangers - Will certainly have a think about it - Cheers! 😀👍
Id be glad to give you advice about lighting Sound etc
I could always use some! 😀👍
Thats a cool room sir, wouldnt have the first clue where to start youtubifying it mind.
A full wall of guitars sounds classy :)
Nice to see behind the curtain, love the ceiling of all things... the angles are ace:)
Think the only suggestion i could make is have you though to try racking instead of a desk/table? Can provide a right angle whilst giving room behind to hide stuff, it'd also give a totally uniform serface to use :) (only suggest this as i did this in my room to store guitars/have a work desk and originally a work bench but have aince moved that onto something else).
Would be decent for getting lights n things in there too :)
Hope that kinda helps :)
Thank ya mate! 😃🙏
Do you mean racking like a bespoke desk? I did think about that - my stepdad is a retired joiner too and could have helped out loads with that 😃👍
But I'm too impatient and didn't want to wait 😂🙈
@ ive used the cheap n cheerfull amazon special stuff made of the thinnedt pot metal youll ever see but it works a treat ;)
If i were to do it again id use much heavier stuff thats a bit deeper too ;)
If you can get a full on bespoke one made thatd be epic! ;)
@@AnimalJohn85 Ah ok - I'm not sure I know what you mean with the racking then. I'll have to look into that - Cheers! 😎👍
Of course you're not copying - It's the new year I think we're all thinking the same things 😂👍
I was happy with this vid looking as bad as possible - that way the bar is set super low for the inevitable "after" vid 😂🙈
You might just need some way to control the daylight coming in too 😉👍
About to hit the 1k though! 💪🥳 A Guitar shelf is essential! 😀👍
@ Getting ready for somewhere to put up my 100K You Tube plaque 😂😂😂
@@JojoFryrocks Too right!!! 💪😀
Not with my personality, I'll get addicted and it will easily get out of control 😂
But yeah It's the same here, every inch of space is accounted for, that goes for the floor and the walls.
Good luck 🖖
Sure it's a decent size anyway. It could have been boxed off with right angles but it just has extra bits, i.e. more space 😀
Awww Thank ya so much for the support as always! 😀🙏
Hope Team Cuthill is doing great! 😀
It's just a load of wee things that bother me - I probably spend around 60hrs a week on that wee room and have had it this way since 2012.
Ha Cheers mate! 😂👍
I'd love to hear Cordy on a Starcaster! 😁👌
I missed the first 2 hours of his stream but man... He's just too good 😎👌
I. Thought that it is good if the walls are not parallel because of the echoes and reflektions. And tob avoid "standing waves" we say in german... I dont know if you know what that means...
I don't really know what that means - But... I'll take it! You've just managed to make me happy about my wonky walls! 😂👍
Cheers mate! 😀🙏
It’s better for audio, but they don’t really make enough asymmetrical desks for it to be easy 😂
@@KaiDown Totally! 😂👌
@@JojoFryrocks What!?!? 🤯 Furniture at different heights and levels!?!? So I already had it all perfect and just chucked it all out!? 🙈😂
No right angles? Is that the house from Beverly Hills Cop.” No right angles!!!!”
Man It's been a loooong time since I've seen that movie - Definitely time for a rewatch, and so I can get the reference 😂👍
Definitely one of the weirdest videos I’ve watched of the guitar world on UA-cam mate 🤣🤭 but I got through it haha. The struggle is real
Soz mate - thanks for watching😂
Had to set the bar low in this one for the inevitable "After" Vid to follow.
I've been busy already, but It's not changed that much 🙈
@ haha I’m sure it’ll be killer man. Interesting. Btw have you tried the Fesley Fdk800?
@@thelolguy007 Nah mate - i'm yet to try a Fesley. I'm not sure how easy they are to get a hold of in the UK - will need to look into it 👍
@ seems to be just off their website atm. And it’s spelt very similarly to Fazley 🤔
I like the shape room Steve is fantastic 😂😊
Thank you mate! The experts here have told me it's actually ideal for sound - I didn't know that and I'm pretty happy about it now 😀👍
Buy a new couch , move the wall . Sorted 😂
Well that would certainly be the cheapest option 😂😜👌
👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers mate! 😀🙏
Gonna turn it into a love dungeon?
At the moment it's just a plain Dungeon 😂
@ like how you say at the moment so it’s open ended
Introducing carpeting and custom furtintire 😂
Yeah Custom furniture is definitely the way to go!
But I'm too impatient for that. 😂🙈
A Great man once told me - "Just Do it" ✔️
And that is how I ended building a shoe rack and coat hanger. For that month I got into building bits… 😅 just do it Steve.
Radiators are a bane to my existence too
@@MrRafaztar Radiators are the worst! Except for here in Scotland, in Winter, when we need them on 24/7 😂🙈
If you wouldn't have mentioned your pizza sliced room I would have never noticed, personally I quite like how it looks, but I get you have to live in there, unfortunately I don't have any helpful offerings.
I have 3 Hercules hangers on the back (black) wall and they've served me very well 😀👍
New house, only answer 😂
😂👌
Speaking of which - How about your new man cave? Better or worse than previous? 😀
Tell me about it, this sht is never ending lol.
You still heading to a new space? I'll bet you've got straight walls and right angles and everything 😁👍
Thank ya for being punctual 😂👍
Just threw this extra one out without warning 😃
Re the Beams - you're gonna shout at me but...
The current hangers weren't into the beams 😬 Just used plasterboard screws and they have been absolutely solid for 12 years.
The 3 guitars on the back black wall are Hercules hangers, have also been up for 12 years and just with plasterboard screws 🤯
I've probably been very lucky, and I'll probably regret it, but I'm just gonna put the new hangers up the same way 😬🙈
If it all falls down - you can laugh and say I told ya so! And I promise I won't complain 😜
@stevecassidyguitar Safe as houses mate!👍🏼
@@baabaabaa-El I hope so! 😬🤞
Steve started this entire project because he moved his mousepad by half an inch. Before he knew it, he decided to redesign his entire space! We all know that’s the truth to the story unfolding into this entire project! 🤣🤣🤣
Ha! That's probably not too far from the truth 😂👍
Spending around 60hrs a wee in here for 12 years, something like that could easily be the last straw!
This room I'm in is part of an extension on the rest of this old Victorian house. This room used to be like a laundry room or something apparently. Which still doesn't explain why the walls are wonky 😂🤷♂️
Is that the same sofa my ass used to play guitar on
HA! Yes! More than likely 😂👍 The one before it was almost identical too 🙈
Geeze the problems of 1st world guitar.
Hard times mate 😂🙈
I don’t think you need any guitars on the wall. All UA-camrs do that already with some neon lights. You are too singular for that 😂
Ha! Cheers mate 😂👍
But, I definitely do need as many as possible on the wall - It's a space issue first, display 2nd 😜
I'm already in trouble for having 6 guitars in the living room 😂🙈
Believe me you’re room is clean and tidy compared to my mates studio he’s known as Mr Messy!🙄
I'm not gonna lie, I did move the coffee mug and pint glass off the desk - I'm not an animal!! 😂👍
@stevecassidyguitar lol i should think so too!😅
In other words... you have to move, i have place for the guitars! 😮
I'd love to move to bigger better space! 😃
I can't move home currently though and the convenience of working at home has too many benefits 😃👍
I don’t know if I can stay subscribed to a UA-camr who makes videos inside a rhombus. The lack of 90 degree angles must serve an ominous purpose. I am the king of clutter I have no useful advice for you.
😂 I'll totally understand if you have to go mate - Thank you for the great times 😀🙏
This room is part of an extension, possible built by some drunk ancient Egyptians 🤷♂️
If it was normal or easy it wouldn’t be your way or suit you. 😂
It's far from normal 😂👍
You realise, of course, that none of us have unsubscribed your channel because of furnishing.
Not one.
Your personality and skill CAN carry this thing, I have no idea why you think this is quite so important. I mean, if Dave Simpson can have 139K subscribers filming in his house, you can be ok too. Calm it down a tad fella eh? 😊
I know you're right mate - thank ya for the words of encouragement as always sir 😀🙏
It's about work flow here too though, and procrastination. I always manage to find distractions like this to keep me from editing 😂🙈
yeah so you made a video about it... which you had to edit 😂
It appears that I am viewer # 666 as I am watching this. LOL.
I hope that's a good sign!? 👹
😂🤞
Thanks for watching mate 🙏
@stevecassidyguitar It is a good thing, indeed. 666 is 665+1, LOL.
Steve check out @thegaindane comment, he may have a solution for you.
Cheers mate! Just got to it - Great suggestions from you both - Thank ya.
If I start from scratch again in another 5 years I'll go that route and rip out the floor and the old pipes etc too. But I got too impatient this time for proper planning 🙈
