Ofcourse , but code size is quite big as per memory of 328p, so better to use nodemcu....

I tried different versions of FastLED libraries and it didn't work. By the way, I used Arduino IDE version 1.8.18, I saw that you use version 1.8.16, I will install the version used by you and then if it is not right I will contact you again, until then I wish you all the best and thank you for your prompt reply!

It should not matter whether it is 1.8.18.1 or 1.8.16.1. have you installed ESP8266 ...board URL in Preferences then in board Manager ?

Then go to Library Manager in Tools and search FastLED and install it. Thats it.

Hello,
I managed to compile, the problem was from the Fast Led library, it installed rp2040_pio.h and this is where the message came from: #include "hardware/pio.h"
Now that I have managed to load the sketch into ESP8266 Nodemcu, I notice that the led strip does not have the command from pin D2. Do you have any suggestion?

Just check in the code which pin no is mentioned connect it there. Or try the signal pin 2 to change it to 3, 4,5 .....like that.

What can be the reason? You just upload FastLed100 to test it . It is in File > examples>FastLed>Fastled100

If signal wire connection or solderin problem or some times first ic got damaged. Also direction of signal , check arrows
