  • Hello from YHM. In this video we are going to show you the difference between our Phantom Q.D. Mount and our new sRx® Mounting System. The sRx® System will be the obvious choice for anyone looking for a sleek, low-profile, suppressor set up-that’s also built to withstand rigorous use. This is our prescription for the shooter who cares about the aesthetics of their build as well as its ease-of-use. Visit the product pages for more information.

PLEASE DO SHORT flash hiders with 1/2-28 thread and minimal length wrench flats!!!!

Second on that. I'm really interested in the SRX mount for minimizing weight. Putting the short SRX flash hider in 1/2-28 thread would be perfect for lightweight 5.56 suppressor setup.

@@Gaspard129 Recently I have found out about wolfpack armory plan b compatible adapter. It is super recessed which makes it the shortest option I am aware of. However it takes away a huge chunk from the expansion chamber.

Yeah, they really need to give some shorter options for the 1/2x28 flash hider and brake that are more aesthetically pleasing than the mini brake.

After playing with the SRX mount I'm really wondering why the short FH isn't available in 1/2 x 28?

Interesting. I prefer a locking collar option like the phantom, as sometimes (rarely) the taper mounts will loosen a bit under rapid fire.
I don't know about your mount moving, but knowing YHM, I'm sure you guys are testing them quite a bit :)

Im a huge YHM fan, and love the Phantom style mounts. I also like the locking collar on the Phantom mounts. What keeps this system from vibrating loose during long or rapid strings of fire. A baffle strike or other catastrophic event is the biggest concern of any suppressor owner, so this is one of the first questions i had while watching the video... Thanks!

Have 3 Yhm cans. I have no issue with phantom mounting. That being said. I hope all your up coming suppressors come with this mount. Only issue is your location in Massachusetts.

Awesome! Can you guys please get us information like what you have for the Kurz adapter, including the muzzle device protrusion so we can check for blast baffle clearance?

Is the sRx backwards compatible? In other words, can I use my old LT Phantom suppressor with the new sRx mounts?

If you look at the thread pitch and tapers you can tell it’s definitely not cross compatible.

any decent gunsmith can p/w the old phantom mounts easily either disassembling them or just going behind the collar. It would have been nice to have another 1/16" of wrench flats on the old mounts though, not sure why the designer hates us, but my yhm flat wrench died on the second install and i've had to make a crows foot to work. Rip 3/4
Not sure any of us that want a secondary retention like the idea, but I get why you went toward a more single part mount like the rest of the industry. But between the multiple p/w I dont want to undo and the dozens of mounts I have already, its unfortunately too late and a switch over isnt happening. I just hope we can get the phantom style mounts for the years to come.
