How about using the oil that's recommended for your car?
Some cars state a few different oil grades in the owners manual.
Nissan recommends 5w-30 but in hotter climates, the owner manual says 10w-30 up to 15w-50, but that would fuck up your mpg.
@@tonyStorksyeah lol. But fuck you mpg if you want to save the engine and reduce friction, wear, etc.
My owners manual suggest 5w40., I live in a tropical country with rain and hot weather all year round. I wrongly bought a 15w 40. Is it okay to use 15w40 instead instead?

Use the right ACEA specs
Most if not all newer cars show what kind of oil to use right on the oil cap. Problem solved!
Not correct answer!! There is a list of options that you can use! They never specify one type!! That is the problem, people are not stupid to not check specs of vehicles
