    Just a little feedback. I love your videos, they are always so informative and interesting. But it is hard to hear you, and i have to use my headphones with the volume cranked all the way up. And its worth it, i totally will, lol. But i figured id let you know so you can improve on that in the future when you are able to. I know equipment isn't cheap.

      Since the intro is very loud I need to lower the volume between videos. But the videos are very interesting.

    I literally have nothing to do with soap. I just like watching your videos. In this one, you looked like a busy little bee filling honeycomb :) the melted lotion looked kind of tasty. Lol.

    Thank you for giving the percentages on oils, butters and waxed so we can create our own recipes! I can't wait to experiment and make a vegan and palm-free lotion stick for my family.

    Joanna, thank you so much! I too make a salve that is similar to that! My customers love it. Anyway, I know nothing about that Cougar Products machine but I will totally be checking that cool thing out! That is the PERFECT thing for a small to mid-sized business. Love your videos, thank you so very much for sharing! :-)

    Thank you for showing us how to make a lotion bar in percentages. I like making my own recipes up. BTW... I did use your lump of coal soap idea. People's favorite was a scent I mixed up and named the twisted Canadian. (It has maple and other stuff.) Thank you for being such a inspiration! :)

    You can add Ecosoya Q210 (formally know as Ecosoya CB135)
    It’s the Only soy was allowed to be used in various Skincare Products + it been dermatology tested safe for all skin types.
    If using & selling any EO’ or Blends that are toxic oils then you’ll need to place a warning label - people like the ones mentioned below, but your better off just adding the label anyways:
    Pregnant Women, Breastfeeding Mums, Newborns to a children of 7yrs, Medical Problems + Medications & The elderly Elderly

    Thanks for explaining and demonstrating the process so well! Maybe you could answer a question I have. I'd like to formulate a solid lotion stick but one that is tinted in a high enough concentration to be able to cover skin imperfections. Would you have any idea of how I could recalculate the ingredient percentages to account for adding in a pigmented, pre-mixed cream foundation/concealer?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 💕

    • @TheSoapGal
      @TheSoapGal  7 місяців тому

      I'd recommend doing this in Soap Maker 3 Software! It will be very easy for you to put in your desired ingredients and have it calculate for you!

    First of all I want to thank you for your videos. They are very inspirational and helpful. I have learned a lot just watching you. Still struggling with figuring out the wholesale prices on my products, but I'm working on it
    I am planning to do private label in the future and was wondering, do you put the ingredients on all your products for private Label and do they contain your business info as well?
    Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message and answer my questions. God bless you and once again thank you for all of your hard work.

    Hi Joanna, love your channel. I'm just curious about the melting stage. Beeswax needs high heat to melt, but you mixed oils like olive and avocado with the wax before melting. Wouldn't this heat alter the beneficial properties of the liquid oils? Is that just a myth?

    • @TheSoapGal
      @TheSoapGal  5 років тому +1

      Great question, beeswax melts at 147. When we cook with these oils the temps are in the high 200’s, when we soap with them in saponification gel stage temps can go in the 200s. I do normally melt the beeswax then when that is melted add oils and butters.

    • @karijaneify
      @karijaneify 5 років тому

      Yes, heat can degrade many benefits of the oils, especially vitamins. Each oil tends to have it's own temperature limit. Check SwiftCraftyMonkey's blog to see if she has a list. (I am a hobby soap maker just starting to branch out; sorry I don't have more facts to give you.)

  • @karijaneify

    Not all beeswax is antibacterial; so many things affect it like the environmental conditions, age, processing, etc. Is there a supplier who sells beeswax that is tested and guaranteed to be antibacterial? And what amount of added oils and ingredients dilute it's antibacterial strength?
