Yeah I have the same issue. I will have 7 rooms by myself and it takes me forever to clean them. What I found works the best is clean one part at a time. Dont focus on the entire room at once causing yourself procrastination. Start with the bathroom, desks, bed, vacuuming, etc. do not strip everything at once. You will lose track
For a small studio. It takes me an 1 1/2 to two hours depending on condition or if I need to iron sheets. So I don’t know how they expect 30 min. It takes 30 min just to vac and mop. 15-20 for beds. 15 min for bath and kitchen. 10 mins to fold, check and hang towels, 15 min to wipe down furniture, remote, windows, spot clean walls and base boards. If a housekeeper takes 30 min. They are skipping and just wiping down things. Possibly skipping sanitizing as well

The problem is that they have to hurry. It doesn’t matter if the room is very clean or filthy like an Indian street they are expected to do the work in the same amount of time. And the time is very limited even if the room is relatively clean. That’s why the quality of cleaning is often subpar in many hotels and they don’t clean under beds for example. It’s usually not the cleaning lady’s fault but management’s. They just don’t care that much because they don’t have to use the rooms themselves.

I'm afraid of starting a new job as a housekeeper after reading some commentaries around. Also, I'm kind of nervous of using english in the hotel due to is has been a time since I end studying english. :c
First open the windows to refresh the air then throw away all the trash in the room then take out the bed covers and towels then apply the cleaning products in the bathroom and then clear the dust from the room then make the bed with clean and well-ironed covers then but the water coffee sugar and everything you need to put and then clean all the bathroom (toilette/showroom...) And then wipe the glass and mirrors until they shine and then but the towels soap shampoo... And then go back to the room clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner apply air freshener and we finished.
This is how not to do it. You don't "clean" seat then clean cover. Ugh I can't keep watching. That lady was awful. What about around rim of cover? She just got the middle. Sure she moves fast but this isn't cleaning it. If you asked if she'd stay there after cleaning it I doubt she'd say yes. Please let me know what hotel this is to never go there. Yikes.
I just ended my work contract as a hotel cleaner after working a day when i found out how they clean and promised myself not to stay in a hotel anymore.. That worse!
Lemah to be honest i really don't know, in this video mariott is already a high end hotel and yet the woman still clean the toilet from bottom to top. The woman who trained me used the towel to clean the toilet and on the floor...thats why i was so shocked...lets say thats ok coz those towels will be washed with chemicals and high temperature water, another thing that turned me off was she used the same laundry basket for the used linens, towels from all the rooms we cleaned and after unloading filled it with clean towels, bathrobe etc to replace in the next rooms we will be cleaning.
Wow I must say I’m in Bali atm the hotel we’re staying at is decent but the white bed sheets have changed color, it’s not as white as it should be.. I just can’t wait to go back home already! It’s quite sickening to know about their “cleanliness”😭
Well I don’t want to generalize, maybe it’s different in some hotels/resort where they don’t give too much pressure to their employees AND implement strict proper hygiene like avoiding cross contamination etc. in my experience they use same cleaning tools(used rags, wipes) to all 26 rooms in that shift. It’s back breaking job...some are really good workers but bec of pressure they tend to do things we don’t want to know. 😃😁
Wrong, the first thing to do in a room check out is to strip the bed, as for the cleanliness of the bathroom and room in general you can never use the towels, this is unhygienic and detrimental to the hotel. For this there are cloths with different colors for each area. After seeing this video I was disgusted to stay at this hotel.
I am sorry to say but this is not right, the bathroom is always at the last after bed. And never use the gloves while cleaning and holding the glass, because of using it before at the bowl. You need first extensive training for this.
i have no exprience of housekeeping but this video give some knowledge.. i want to learn more and hopelly i can work in that kind luxury hotel.. anybody can help me..
If you can't clean your own place why be a housekeeper? This place is too big for me to work in. BLUE GLOVES BE WORN all the time, but change in between cleaning rooms. Get a job as a nurse asst. and then you will understand when disease born pathogens really means.
Where is the mask and hair cover for the lady. And I would choose white uniform that reflects cleanliness. She should be using gloves all the time even if it just for dust, cause she does this EVERY DAY ALL DAY.

Hola. Tengo la intención de irme a Dublín a trabajar de House keeper en hostels. Tengo que ir a alguna agencia de limpieza o tengo que ir directamente a cualquier hostel a echar el currículum?
Nice and i have learnt lot new thanks now i wish to be part of
It's gross to clean the toilet first. And then use the same gloves to clean the sink. Thanks Marriott. I'll avoid you in the future.
She cleaned the toilet seat before the cover 🤢
We love housekeeping!!!!
We are hotelier!!!!!
❤ great work.
She cleaned the toilet seat from the bottom 😳 isnt it supposed to be from top to bottom?
Can you play music when cleaning rooms or use headphones?
We aren’t allowed to have anything in our ears. But we can turn on the radio in the room, our own radio, or use a cell.
This helps me with my apartment ❣️
Bad techniques of cleaning, sorry to say.
I heard housekeeping is hard and that you have to have alot of rooms clean within a certain amount of time
I heard that too. I did housecleaning for two weeks and that was tough.
No changing of the gloves???
@ 3:10 the lady looks in the trash can, looks at the camera, and gave a slight grin. What was in the trash can?
I'd like to know.
Lol 🤣
I watch some other videos there where always a number of different colored rags to not mixind the dirtiest places from the other ones
Thank s for so nice video
I'm afraid of starting a new job as a housekeeper after reading some commentaries around. Also, I'm kind of nervous of using english in the hotel due to is has been a time since I end studying english. :c
Hey how is it going
First open the windows to refresh the air then throw away all the trash in the room then take out the bed covers and towels then apply the cleaning products in the bathroom and then clear the dust from the room then make the bed with clean and well-ironed covers then but the water coffee sugar and everything you need to put and then clean all the bathroom (toilette/showroom...) And then wipe the glass and mirrors until they shine and then but the towels soap shampoo... And then go back to the room clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner apply air freshener and we finished.
I have housekeeping experience❤ 0:10
Is anyone else thinking, yet another man telling a woman how to clean? 😂
Yikes.
Exactly why they need robots for this not to mention the overhead cost❤
I just ended my work contract as a hotel cleaner after working a day when i found out how they clean and promised myself not to stay in a hotel anymore.. That worse!
leah Paradero omg then what should travellers do😑
Lemah to be honest i really don't know, in this video mariott is already a high end hotel and yet the woman still clean the toilet from bottom to top.
They want us to clean in 30 minutes I promise it’s going to be slop cleaning a room in 30 minut
And no comment yet on how smily and attractive the cleaning lady is?! Don't loose the plot there ;)
That’s disgusting.
I would be a great housekeeper because every time I leave a man I would keep his house.
i have no exprience of housekeeping but this video give some knowledge.. i want to learn more and hopelly i can work in that kind luxury hotel.. anybody can help me..
If you can't clean your own place why be a housekeeper? This place is too big for me to work in. BLUE GLOVES BE WORN all the time, but change in between cleaning rooms. Get a job as a nurse asst. and then you will understand when disease born pathogens really means.
You can apply easily at Marriot Hotel even without experience.
@@SandySquirrelofBikiniBottomwhy are you so triggered???
After dusty chairs comes the clean windows
Room attendant should wear hairnet
At my hotel we have to strip our own rooms. I don’t mind because that’s when we get our tips.
Great video!!!

What kind of cloth is she using?
People don’t have an idea what’s is behind of cleaning like that.
What do you mean?
It's physically demanding. Your feet are dead at the end of a shift
Change The gloves yo....but great video
I honestly wouldnt mind being a house keeper
#agree
Same I like cleaning
I love my job. I work at a 3 floor hotel.

Good job
How does she apply chemical direct on wall without mixup water
Y are u spraying air freshener in the air it should b sprayed in the four corners
I have been a housekeeper 20 she's not cleaning properly u dust before you make bed and when u clean toilet you start from top work down
I really wish to work like a housekeeper any one who can help me
Been housekeeping since my 25 year old
How has it been going?
Not suppot to put the blankets on the floor and clean the toilet from the top.
Where is the mask and hair cover for the lady. And I would choose white uniform that reflects cleanliness. She should be using gloves all the time even if it just for dust, cause she does this EVERY DAY ALL DAY.
Why are white towels used to wipe down toilets? How do you know which towels are for guests and which ones are for the toilet? Dear God.
