    If only they came out with these 2 weeks ago I could have ran these at St Anthony these seem to be more pulling power then my 29in Sand Slingers on my Pro XP 4.

    Good looking sand tire. It’s good to have more options out in the market. Great video Nick 👌🏼

    Must be treat to go to G and have the whole place to yourself. I know you kept it chill and stayed close to the highway just in case. But like the tire but obviously not enough for SXS with over 225 HP. (Like your SPEED coming soon)

    Sexy car. Slow motion sand shots. Firm tires. You're going to get banned with this UTV porn.😂 Sick video!

      They are really good. I think I have ride height where I want it, but I think we will do another tuning video. Whoops were too smooth in August! Haha we will probably take it to Geiser Loop where it's rough and nasty and see if we can get the crossover rings and clickers to a good setting. Always hard to get a setting on the hardpack, and the dunes.

    You should compare them to the new sand slinger sport 33inch paddle tire and front directional mini paddle and see how they stack up. I am looking at these 2 options for my heavier el jefe as well. I think a little more traction up front could help.

    • @ChupacabraOffroad
      @ChupacabraOffroad  2 роки тому +2

      The weights posted on the PLW10's from Speed seem impossibly light (much lighter than Sandcraft's), especially for a porky El Jefe, and the EFX's don't have weights posted, similar price point. Cool to finally have more options and brands that are making UTV specific stuff, we measured these are they were a real 1" taller than my 32" SKATs.

    I know paddles are a giant balancing act between grip,slip,dune vs hill shoot, and weight, but How do you feel these paddles do shooting long steep dunes/racing up hill? Going to get paddles for my 22’ xrc here soon and there’s soooo many choices, always been partial to scats, but…. If there’s other stuff that’s comparable and fast. I can’t rule other things.

    Are these not rather heavy? 8.6lbs heavier than the 32" Sandcraft Talon and 7.8lbs heavier than the 33" Sandcraft Talon. Closest comps I could find.

    • @ChupacabraOffroad
      @ChupacabraOffroad  2 роки тому +2

      They are lighter than Packard 33's (27lb & 35lb) before shaving. Sandcraft's website says the 33" front is 21.5lb (3lb difference), and Sandcraft's 33" require the 16" rim, don't they? ALso, the Pro R weights 2,144 (2 seat) and 2437 (4 seat) before accessories and people. My Speed will also be porky, but I liked the stiffer sidewalls and fronts digging. The hill shooter/ drag guys always want light as possible, but for an all around duning tire you can run without beadlocks, on these heavier new SxS's, I think its a good option. Not to mention these are $400 less...

      @@ChupacabraOffroad totally agree on the rotating mass, being an ex bicycle racer I know what does. I grabbed the 2 closest Sandcraft options. I wish they made a 33 x 15. No real rocket science here. I'm guessing the Tensors are a little heavier due to the waffle pattern. They are on my short list for this season and my x3 max. Keep up the great content.

  • @chaosnaz

    Nick, could compare them to the system 3, sandcraft and other paddles? Have you done any speed/time comparison between other tires also?

    • @ChupacabraOffroad
      @ChupacabraOffroad  2 роки тому +1

      Tensor compared the system 3 and STU’s and have graphs - on their website and I posted them on the “community” tab on this channel - they did lots of real world testing with gps and vehicle ECU data 👌🏼

    Is this what you plan to run on your Speed UTV?

    • @ChupacabraOffroad
      @ChupacabraOffroad  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I was thinking a 33" would be ideal, these being about 1 full inch bigger than the 32" Skats I was running before, these are lightweight, more sturdy sidewall (which I think will be ideal for the El Jefe) and MSRP is $1300. I'm also going to get some Tensor 35's and compare them to the stock 32's, Ideally bought the Speed to run 35's, and I like and know the Tensors well, and being super light is awesome.

      @@ChupacabraOffroad I agree on the size piece. I think a 33” is ideal, and the sturdy sidewall makes sense with a heavier car like the El Jefe. Any thoughts about how these might perform with the Speed key?

    Hard to call 30 # weight tires light . Molded tires are a good only if you are looking for budget tires . But if you go to the dunes maybe once or twice a year still better than dirt tires . IMHO

    • @ChupacabraOffroad
      @ChupacabraOffroad  2 роки тому +1

      Compare the weight to the other 33" options, they are 5+ pounds lighter than Packards. I think you are seeing a company with resources and experience create a molded tire that's light, and handles great. It's not all about weight, I'm a bicycle nerd weight weenine and trust me I understand the importance of rotational weight, I also run a beefier bicycle tire due to my conditions, bike and riding style, at the cost of 50-150 grams. Point being- people are driving 2,000lb Max X3's and 2400lb Pro R's, wouldn't you want performance and not have the front end push all over the place? Just some food for thought.
