Certain technical skills are learned in school but there these skills become further attuned to what specific tools you need to learn to complete your tasks at work. A theoretical knowledge to start with could prove as an advantage but the more pragmatic approach of figuring what tools to use as you learn them on the fly is a gush of information you need to take in and digest. Very insightful, Tiff! 😍🤓🥰 PS. Thanks for featuring my comment at the start of this video. I really love your approach on the technical side of software development and I hope you'd get more subs.
Oh really?! Didn’t mean for it to be! I go through different techniques and tips that have really helped me with my technical and coding skills is why I named it that! ☺️
@@TiffInTech I meant it as compliment. 😅 I wish you provided examples of wording and googling a problem. E.g., I googled how to turn an image upside down using Java. I wonder if I should've used a different sentence.
@@stevensong8784 haha oh thank you! 💕 and appreciate that feedback about examples - great idea! Thanks again Steven! Hope you have an awesome upcoming weekend 😄
good techniques. i also write comments before code often, when there are several steps. it frees you from the constraints of the code. i wish i was better at negotiating too
Love this video! really great advice. Also do you plan to make any videos on public speaking you are probably the most eloquent youtuber I know of. Would really like to learn how you train yourself to express your ideas clearly :)
This was great, I was not sure what boot camp to go with thank you 😊 Would it benefit for me to learn or familiarize myself with any languages prior to starting? Also do they let you make payments?
Hi Derek! Coding Dojo here. We always say that you don't need any prior technical experience to join our bootcamps, but if you've got some spare time on your hands, we do recommend trying out our FREE Intro to Web Development workshop. It's a great way to get acquainted and familiar with some of the things that we cover at our bootcamps. 😀 On Financing, yes we've got several payment plans available for our students. Feel free to send us a DM in case you'd like to know more!
Fantastic, I appreciate the help This is the only social media I’m on, but I would love to learn more about this! I’m looking to make a career change in the near future and I’m eager to get started 😊
Hi @@derekhoyle5371 I'm happy to connect you with our Admissions team to get you all the information that you need - would you like us to reach out to you via email or phone?
Absolutely, I’ll send my email to your admin. however you like! Just let me know how to send it, since I’m cautious about posting my info here on you tube.
Hi tiff. Want to ask how u improved on your design skills. Cause I find it difficult to build a website from scratch without using templates. I really need to know from your point of view how u could design people's website without stress. I really need your view
Thank you! It really depends on your coding skill level. If you feel like you are getting more theory in your degree a bootcamp is a great addition! Not necessary though!
Yeeees experience tiff but it's back to the same old idea as old as our grandparents, you won't get that experience you need unless someone hires you, they rather not hire you until you have the credentials ( post secondary education)
I hear you it is a tough cycle. For an entry role though if you don’t have experience through internships even building projects you can talk about helps. I know it’s not as simple as that but speaking from experience, just be persistent, network and eventually it will happen!
Tiffany, how can you get a top paying job in tech working coding or web designer or any other tech job and make serious pay if you don't have the credentials ( college/university) education to back it up?
Hi Jack! Coding Dojo here. We currently offer a FREE Intro to Web Development workshop. It's on the description above in case you're interested. 😉 We had two students who thought they didn't need the basics course try the pre-course material on their own. Instead of struggling through the rest of the course without support, they had a built-in option to help them reset and get ready.
