They aren’t supposed to know about it lore wise dream changed the script on techno and didn’t tell techno when techno is supposed to be the main writer that’s why techno said that it’s hidden because it was supposed to be hidden from them
@@dex2343 I know lore-wise Dream shouldn't have known out of the blue... But it isn't very hidden. Only a few hills around it is hiding it, so anyone who has access to a trident could have easily stumbled upon it... Which is probably Dreams excuse for justifying they learned about it, though it probably is as Techno says and that Dream just saw it on a stream.
Though I didn't know Techno was the main writer, it makes a lot more sense... Given how he's written as the all knowing one and Dream is the evil bad man.
Edit to clarify: I labeled Techno as "all-knowing" in the sense of basically being a wise man, not omnipotence. Character traits, not factual statements. Techno also acts ignorant constantly, so obviously he isn't an omnipotent being.

@@williamfalls What? Techno doesn`t write himself as all-knowing... Even before he became the main writer and Willbur was, Techno has just had a knack for "predicting" what was most likely going to happen. Or at least Willbur wrote him like that (but it fits how Techno usually is).
In fact, Techno is going for more of a bad guy right now, revenge, and all that. Dream is more on the "all-knowing", chaotic guy. He seems to be kind of neutral while also helping the good guys and fucking with them at the same time lol
Techno doesn`t control the script, he writes it, but all of the SMP guys have already created their own character. Techno can`t and isn`t just changing it to fit his wishes like you make it sound like :/

I'm happy that they don't try to pretend that everything is playing out naturally, but they make it obvious that they have it scripted and they make jokes off of it.
I love that aspect as well but i feel like a big part in that is because dream’s character is mean and manipulative so no one wants anyone to think that’s the real him

Of course it’s scripted. It’s not word for word scripted though, not like every interaction is scripted. Only the ones that are critical to the plot, and is never word for word. Techno said majority of the time they scrap it.
